Hardend scales is number one, a bit bullshit, and number two, not very effective if they were to be battered away extremely rapidly like a stone in a dessert or a river.
One, how so?
Two, that takes a hell of a lot of bullets. I get that million-rounds-a-minute thing, but if there's enough force behind them to affect the trajectory of a good-sized dragon there's enough force behind them to also screw up the little ICARUS's aim.

Or at least how difficult it is to pronounce their names.
Indeed. "Colrath," that's easy.

Anyways, just so you know, I've got a nice little Google Doc with basically all the stat information for dragons I've drawn up, linked in my character post. There's some stuff we shouldn't know IC yet, so please no meta.

"Now that we have some guests, let us proceed to the next game. Anyone have any preferances?"
"Um...truth or dare?"
<Again?>

((So, wouldn't the ones in China be getting mowed down by the ICARUS-06's metal storms seeing as they can't even fly?))
If that ICARUS unit found them right away, and for that matter was ordered to fight them. And if it wasn't one of those attacks that is composed of a bunch of little attacks and therefore is more affected by dragons' Hardened Scales ability. And if there was only one of them. And if there weren't ones stronger than the one you fought. Younger dragons, perhaps.
Also, it turns out "waterproof" robots are a bit less proof to water actively being controlled by hostile parties.

((dont destroy the ICARUS units offscreen please GWG, they are needed for future plots))
No problem. I didn't intend to even involve them.

"Hi! I'm Angel! Who're you?" Angel extends her hand for a handshake.
"I'm Alice, it's nice to meet you" she paused as Angel extended her hand staring at it for a moment "I'm... I'm sorry but I don't think I should shake your hand, they... they aren't covered. Mine are but I don't want to take the risk"
"Oh, okay..."

Tell me, were you using some mobile device when it borked up?
Technically, yes. My laptop.

Test just how much force I can apply to things, and how evenly. (E.g, if I can apply ten thousand newtons of force, I could lift a car, but if it's all applied to a 10-centimeter area I'm going to be ripping the car apart)
Spend those last two minutes getting the city firmly in my mind and trying to figure out where the BETA is coming from. And where the people are.
EDIT: If I hear, um, NAV's note, head for that corner of the city.

"Hello"
"Hi! I'm Angel! Who're you?" Angel extends her hand for a handshake.

Cyrielle is.
Kyle reluctantly turns on the news since Devon hasn't responded yet.
Huh. There's...there's a good number of weird creatures waking up, pretty much all draconic in some way. There are brown ones with tails covered in spines in South Africa, yellow legless feathered ones in Mexico, giant dark gray wingless ones in Scandanavia, light gray ones in France, long wingless antlered ones in China, more like the one you killed in North America...
And they seem disturbed.

4571
"Can we at least order pizza?"

Is...is anyone checking the news, or does Will need to be Mr. Exposition again?

4572
Angel, confused, heads home and changed into pyjamas* before returning and watching the others play Mario Kart. She looks around to see who all is there.

*I dunno why I like the Canadian/English spelling better than the American.

I am not sure Save or Die should be something anyone should have. For us, it makes fights too easy, and hey, equal opportunity, enemies would logicaly have access to similar things, or not?
edit: not to mention, as is clearly seen, they are super unsatisfying for everyone else.
editedit: also please consider penalties for dodging multiple attacks. that dragon was huge, the 42 dex was already barely making sense
I was applying the penalties. -3 per attack too small?
And yeah.

yeah well GWG fucked up. Good, now that itt has happened to him, he will, by common decency, be unable to complain in the future when other GMs make mistakes
I made ONE mistake. Specifically, going by the real GM's ruling on the DC of a one-hit-"kill" attack I barely understood. Hardly a major mistake.

Quote
He said there's still a lot more to go, so I guess next time he will not make the same mistake
Indeed.
Although by this point I'm winging it. (Thankfully, I had planned to wing it only a step or two after this one, so no harm no foul.)

well, GWG ignored ICARUS attempt of picking up the dragons trail via footprints and/or chemicals left behind...
Less "ignored," more "didn't notice". Did you roll for it? I don't really care what system, to be honest.

...Um, so what do we do with corpse?
Important question.

4574
ICARUS kicks the dragon in the snout

"Oi, Chikaboo, where have you come from?"
It does not respond. Almost as if it is unable to consciously move any part of its body.

So. It seems like IRIS and/or St. Corebus execusted the dragon. Whoo.

Angel teleports to ICARUS.
"Did you say something about a party? I was...distracted..."

me cabbages
Um, would going to the Flight View Center or whatever it's called, focusing on Jeb, and clicking 'End Flight' work?
I don't think so. Besides, that's the sissy way out.

Also, we landed in the desert. The goo doesn't like it, but the science team does.

Archibald, however, reported fear. Maybe he needs more tea.

This could be interesting.

Mama mia, that's a lot of science.

While I'm here, I'd like to remind you what science is available.
Spoiler: Science! (click to show/hide)
And it just occurred to me that I could probably have found all these things elsewhere in the thread...ah well.
