I have always had a good reason for Urist to do nothing. At first it was the best answer, now merely a good one.

As misko has issues with my answers, let him answer this one.

So, let's consider priorities.

1. Becoming self-sufficient with ammo by obtaining both some sort of refining and forging stuff, and some way of obtaining a fairly reliable amount of ore.
2. Being able to make money in some safe fashion, such as trading or distilling.
3. Comfort.

Sound good?

And Ukrainian Ranger, if you try to force the Salvation into combat missions just because we have weapons, my character will do just that. If I had a choice between using a tank to run errands and using the same tank to fight in a battle, I'd choose the errands every time. It's not the best tool for the job, but it's the best job for my priorities and the only tool I have.
That being said, the crew needs to figure out long-term goals. If we want to be mercenaries, we need to get our weapons upgraded and improve the medical bay; if we want to trade, we should refurbish the ship and trade it in for a nice little free trader.

O is open space for ~10 levels and X is cliff. They weren't melancholy, just unhappy. Can it be that they weren't cautios enough and went too close to the edge?
