1. Depends. Those slimes are randomly generated, and have some sort of syndrome. It could be anything from dizziness to necrosis of the brain, in theory. I think. Point is, it could be anything.

2. There are a few ways, most depending on running water over the items in question.

1. All the money in the universe is useless if we're dead. Safety first, legality second, profit third at best.

2. Difference is, our cruiser actually has sufficient cargo space with the shuttle to make a halfway decent trading vessel. Ideally, we would find some way to use the weapons and such for profit, but given the probably-same-as-a-real-trader fuel efficiency of our cruiser, I'd rather safely trade than risk everything for now.

3. It's not either-or. We could trade in the local system after doing our jobs.

For proper super-villainy we need super-powers or minions, and irradiating ourself seems like a bad plan. Ideally we would have some measure of anonymity too...
Irradiation is for the unlikely event that risking the end of the game is worth the insignificant possibility of superpowers.

cavis? mice? both can be food.
Maybe. Cavies are cuter, in my opinion, and harder to lose, but mice are easier to feed and find places to house them.

Tribbles or flat cats or something would be better, though.

How about we make a huge building with a one- or two-level chapel in it, and build another chapel for another god on top of that? Chobofrin or Chucheedrin might have a chapel underground.

Mosaics.
Make lots of colorful stone and metal blocks, and make floors out of them. Make a bunch of cobalite and pitchblende dwarves facing off against some gabbro and serpentine goblins, on a field of marble.

Arched ceilings.
d-r will be our friend.

Vaults.
Store valuables in sealed rooms, guarded by a locked door and a system that can seal off the door with an iron floodgate and floods the corridor. Put valuables in with minecarts, and only open them when the caravans come.

Light.
Put some magma pits and channels around, with grates or something over them. This has the additional benefit of using magma.

2. I thought the miners were just mining freelance after giving some money to the corporation which owned the asteroids, my mistake. We could figure something out, surely.

3. We won't be selling the miners bread and water, we'd be selling them luxuries. Stuff they don't have but want...

GM, are there any cheap, fast-breeding, and cute animals on nearby worlds?
