Use lower taxes, public services, and advertising on Russian channels to convince Russians to immigrate to Canada.
Offer China and Japan rates on cold-fusion-electricity low enough to undercut the Russians; compensate by raising the price of electricity being exported to America by, say, 10-15%.
Sell some Canunawine to the whole world to get them hooked, most importantly the UK and Australia.
Create a small committee to consider the logistic of an Antarctic colony.
Fund research into more efficient cold fusion.

That little spoilered recap is a good idea, maybe I'll request it from everyone.
[5,4-1,2-1 v. 4,6-1] The first deals [1+2+4*5] 35 damage to the Boss. He dodges the second, and the third lands at your feet, [2+1+1*5] dealing 25 damage to yourself.

BOSS TURN:
TFB casts Meteor Strike: [3,6,3,1] Two of the meteors are below-average, one is absurdly above-average, and one sets the room on fire rather than hurting people. [1+1+6+1+3*5; 2,3,4,5] The first meteor deals 60 damage to Unholy_Pariah, 45 damage to Greenstarfanatic, and 30 damage to everyone else. [3+1+3+4+5*10; 4,2,2,4,6] The second deals 160 damage to the party and 40 damage to TFB...the third one chars your corpses a bit...
I think I made the meteor swarm too hardcore. It will now only deal 4d6*5 damage. Everyone respawns.

Maybe, but you should be able to choose a route. If the quickest path is through the Plains of Horror, you might get there early and have more supplies left over but would risk deaths of dwarves and livestock; you could go around, arriving later in the year and with fewer supplies but with less of a chance of dead dwarves.

As to controlling the dwarves during the trip? Meh, sounds dull. Unless they come across a treasure, map feature, or Big Problem along the way, of course...

While the topic's here... how could this be implemented? Would it be better as a room or a zone?
I vote zone, it allows more freedom and arenas don't really require a specific kind of furniture.
I'd say it's best to merge room and zone designation eventually.

I'll take Usi Brassvise. Name him GreatWyrmBrass, please. Goal: Create a giant brass mechanical monster elephant and take over the world! Barring that, use brass in a bunch of overly-complicated traps.
Reading as I speak...type...whatever.

His insanity can set in any time; until then, he's a "normal" miner/mechanic. Afterwards, he demands to be called by GreatWyrmBrass and tries to steal materials for a prototype of his Brass M=Elephant of Doom! (B.E.D. of short...could use some work on the acronym...)

Another idea for a (minor) challenge: Less Meat Challenge.

--Remove all domestic animals and creatures with PET or MOUNT. Cavies and rabbits are small enough that you might make an exception for them.
--Remove all wild, walking, non-vermin animals smaller than a dwarf. Cavies, rabbits, and the like are small enough that you might make an exception for them. Also get rid of the less-annoying birds that are still big enough to give meat.
--Give LIKESFIGHTING to most remaining animals.
--Remove PET_EXOTIC from some of the more common creatures with it.

Ramifications:
-It's hard to get meat, bones, leather, and so forth. You need to trade or hunt dangerous animals for them.
-No milk, cheese, or wool.
-No cats to protect food stockpiles from vermin.
-No guard dogs or the like.

It's an EASY challenge, but a challenge
