@GreatWyrmGold: When you make something you assume control of the leader of it. The reason a vast number of your commands have been failing is because you are giving them to the bear people and not the giant demon.

I believe if you want to give up control of the bear people you can, I dunno if you can regain control later, but if you want to try I think the command: 'Cease being Bear King? Y' Should still work.
Oooh, I see. That...that was never explained to me.

Cease being fluffy wambler king? Y/n.

It would also cost us the best point to stage an attack on the groundhogs from, and probably wipe out all macroscopic life on Earth. She was thinking more like firing lasers at Terran targets.

You decide you just want to repair the tower, and haggle the price to [4] $8750.

You can't work in your genetics lab. It was damaged and it's getting late.

END OF DAY 12 OF VILLAINY

Fire 3 hadoukens more, then deliver a flying kick to the chest!
Well, this is it. Darwuf will put in one last attack. If he fails to at least severely hurt his opponent, he implores Armok to punish him with magma and death. If Armok doesn't listen, and Darwuf fails, he will slit his wrists. Down the road, not across the street, - From the top of the wrist, halfway to the elbow, splice a vein open.
[4-2] Urist again fails to hadouken, [1-2] and blows his own arm off with his second try. The third try [1-2] blows his other arm off, wow. With a flying kick, [3v2] Urist propels himself into Darwuf's chest, knocking them both down. Darwuf prays to Armok, [2] who is warned not to interfere in any way. Darwuf [5+1] smashes his fists, holding the tiny hammer, into his foe's head, knocking him unconscious and accelerating his demise. Darwuf does not need to slay himself.

Another of the three leaves, glancing suspiciously at Armok. He looks innocent, and a fight is only avoided by the mediator piping up and saying," How do these rules look?"

Alright, let's start with a couple basic things:
Everyone starts at 100% blood, and with all present body parts having full HP. The torso has 60 hp, the limbs have 30 apiece, and the head 20.
A successful attack causes #d6 damage to the body part and causes #% blood loss, halving each turn until it stops.
When you reach 75% blood, you are light-headed and get -1 to strenuous actions. When you reach 50% blood, you need to start making rolls to avoid falling unconscious, and your penalty to action extends to all rolls. When you reach 25% blood, the unconscious rolls are at -1, other rolls are at -2, and you also need to make rolls to avoid dying, which you do at 9% blood. Blood is a bit arbitrary; having g 50% blood doesn't mean half of your blood is gone.
Aiming for a limb is a -1 to hit, aiming for the head is -2, but the head is slightly important.
How do these rules look?

Granted. They're not the DF creature.

I wish my laptop AI was less needy and more...like a friend.

Maybe have him be a sort of technomancer, ala Shadowrun?
I have only ever played 2nd Edition, but sure. Let's see...screw with computers without terminals? Or operate them normally, but that's mostly good for party tricks.

Oh, and an opportunity to add heroes is imminent! Please post a link to your hero's sheet if you want to be added nowish.

The team splits in two: One team to the bank and one to...Shadow's apartment building? Is that what you're calling your hideout?
Let's see, Tomcat and Seer are heading to the bank, Mindmaster and Shadow to the hideout, but where do Ragnarok and Misdirection go?

I was chatting with the person I met a few pages back, and while we were talking about a moonbase for reasons that don't matter right now, she mentioned weaponizing the moon. I think this was while we were talking about exporting power to Earth.
She'd fit right in.

Just when you sing or play a musical instrument.

((I'm not counting this one, because someone else might want a chance.))
Good, I was thinking that that should have been explained as part of the answer to my first question.

I'll have the ship set sail for Wizard's Rock.

You spend the morning cloning chickens. [2,3,6] Your first attempt fails to create a viable chicken, the second creates a sickly hen, and the third makes seven more hens. Lunchtime.
You try to make a new cutebold that afternoon, perhaps planning to ensnare one of those Bay12ers as a minion. [4,2] Your second attempt did not result in a viable cutebold, but the first (dubbed CB-B-1) worked. It has a less ugly face than the CB-A line, and is also less sickly and not sterile. [1] Attempts to create a female resulted in  a violent creature which damaged your equipment.

The contractor calls shortly after dinner. He asks irritably what you want to do with the destroyed tower.

DF Suggestions / Re: Peat farming

The note about peat being used for building but not carving reminds me of clay. Have peat gathered like clay and our problems are solved.
>implying gathering infinite clay from a tile is not a problem
No, implying it's a problem that will eventually be solved.

It's generally a bad idea to give more power to the Random Number God.
Dwarf Fort should stick with actual genetics.
...Which, practically speaking, have a fair amount of randomness. For instance: Punnet squares, crossing-over.

Term, if there's one more randomized number and one more multiplication every time a creature moves, that might not be a lot per move, but get a fortress of  80-90 dwarves, dozens of domestic animals, wild animals on the surface and caverns, maybe a forgotten beast or two, and a goblin siege comes...that's a big hit on FPS.
