We must recover Slog's essence, combine it with the essence of Cool Crab, and...promptly get shot down because that step requires killing Cool Crab.

Yes, for robots.
The ground vehicle meta-trait was created for you, though.

well, she did apologize, as in the end all she intended to do was a little shove. as far as blaming the victim goes, well, ICARUS anger levels were at maximum, and Bethany, even if that was not her intention, did kinda mock her. it's like proding a tiger with a stick. a very angry tiger. you just don't do that and think nothing will happen, do you?
You say that like Bethany should have expected ICARUS to explode due to minor prodding at the idea of her having a crush on Kyle. And when the tiger has sentience and free will and such, it's still guilty of assault.

I mean, for a moment imagine ICARUS was just an ordinary girl, and was for some reason so angry that she proceeds to smash half a million worth of laboratory equipment, then stomps away furiously. You'd tell her to calm down, ask her what the fuck or simply get out of her way - you won't go and mock her lovelife. in such a situation, you are just begging to get slapped.
"Mock"? Her comment was more of an "inquire" thing.

Quote
as far as threating her like a toddler goes, it's more appropriate to treat her like a teenager. going through a very pronounced rebellion phase.
And if I had a rebellious teenager complaining about being treated like a child I would say much the same to him/her. It all works out.

sometimes I really gotta wonder how IRIS gets anything done
Why?

* Sentient Bowtie deactivates his joke module.
And there was much rejoicing.
And some ridicule. Mostly just the ridicule.

((The Angel Investor may have just been transmuting air into food using its philosopher's stone.))
Wait, it can turn anything into anything? Will is in the market for that...

Sen blinks for a moment before pulling out a second bag and starts counting out money. It takes a while but eventually she counts out to the desired amount. Working as a demon Lawyer has really paid off. It is also a good thing the money wasn't in her room when it was destroyed by the angels...

Sen hands the second bag to the Angel Investor, "Count it if you want."
Oh goddamn it.

It checks the value of the money and if it finds that it is indeed worth the specified quantity, it hands over the stone. It's rather heavy for its size.
Spoiler: Philosopher's Stones (click to show/hide)
What counts as permission?
And goddamn it, Will could have come up with some excellent ideas for this...

Anyway, I never said that the spear of heat had to hit them, only the building they were in.))
Cue the castle being destroyed by repeated karma rolls.

"Don't tell me what to do. It doesn't matter anyway, if appearantly people just randomly hear about us and come by on a visit."
"The group is a bunch of celebrities. IRIS is still more or less a secret."

The Angel Investor floats around, continuing its transmutation air into various foods and drinks as a product demonstration.
Will investigates the demonstration!
"What are the limits on the transmution?"

They can't seem to figure out where she is.
Not even Will?
Who is of course there. He tries to be on-site for all weird things.
Anyways, he's staying away from the big guy's Shade. Which is clearly visible to Will.

"Next time your uncle Devon visits."
Kyle says really wishing Devon doesn't visit soon.
"On an unrelated note, do you have contact information for Devon?"

"My cousin. I don't know what that makes him in relation to you..."
"First cousin, once removed."

"How in the gods' names are you that young-looking at that age?"
"Because I'm an elf," she says matter of factly.
"Even Kyle figured that one out on his own, N'Thara."

"Before the revelation of magic? You mean you didn't know it existed?"
"We--well, they, I'm not from around here--knew about magic, their own at least, but to the world at large magic was unknown until a relatively recently."

"Stop, ADLIH."
"ADLIH? Creative..."

Kyle sighs.
"Not much I can fucking do about. I could remove your voice functionality entirely but I doubt you'd like that."
"I'd recommend trying Marie's help."

Angel stares at Alistair.
"I...I...I don't feel good..."
She throws up. On Alistair.
Angel just sort of stares, horrified.

I suddenly got an amusing image of someone informing Torban that the reason he has supersensory capabilities like that is because he's been meditating wrong this whole time.

Carl watches the gnoll girl from a safe distance.

4717
Wait, when did I die? That doesn't seem like something I'd forget.

4718
Well, no. Somehow you have 6 AP, even though you should (at 19:00-19:59 GMT) have 5.
Wait, the AP count is updating on the hour, even though the game started 15 minutes after the hour? I should have had one more AP from the previous turn, then.

Quote
Also, you don't have to list your loses if you only have 1 unit type, but I would appreciate you doing it anyway. Like this:
Move the ten militia to 12,16(6AP)(lose three militia vs swordman(2D+1D for mountain)
I'll try to remember to do that.

Also, I'm pretty sure you missed a Harvest action somewhere along the line or something.

Spoiler: Start (click to show/hide)

Recruit Peasant at (10,16) [-1 AP]
Recruit Militia at (5,13) [-1 AP]
Swordsman Stack: Attack (13,17), (14,16) [-4 AP]
Harvest [-1 AP]

Spoiler: End (click to show/hide)

Can I recruit multiple units for one AP? And what's the point of a Supply Ship?

Perhaps, but taking time to counteract inexperience doesn't help THAT much if you're performing surgery. Plus dynamic bonuses are activated by doing something that would logically improve your chances, someone that inexperienced may not know what action would do that.
Which is true...for surgery and a few other types of actions. Most things, taking extra time helps.

Ehh, I suppose that was the original purpose, but if that was the only purpose, than the dynamic bonus should only be negative.
Notice the original thing I was criticizing with that comment. It's something that bugs me a bit...

Quote
The main issue with them right now is that it's possible to get a guaranteed hit, which is not something an RTD should allow. Reasonably likely hit, sure. Very unlikely overshot, sure. But if, for example, Xan becomes a walking death machine who can't miss and can't be injured, the game is over.
That is a problem.

Though given that my endgame goal requires 60 tokens and a really large mission total, by the time I get it the game will be close to over.
I dunno, even now if you build up enough of a dynamic bonus (the point we're discussing) you'll be able to perfectly reshape yourself. And that's pretty flexible.

The dice overwhelm me sometimes. I run this with three diferent tabs of Random.org
...Why do you need three tabs?

Request that someone who isn't busy try making me a weapon and/or armor so I stop sucking. If this fails, kick another wall.

Basically, a current PC dies - the rest of the PCs then are given the choice of which of the waitlisters they most want to see in the game. These become the immediate prime candidates. After a bit of selection, at least one of them will get in.
The key clicking bit has been bolded.

Do you think that system is biased towards more well-known players?
In theory, it should be biased more towards interesting/good characters. In practice...well, let's see.

[overlarge insulting Dragonball image]
Seriously GWG, I just got the updated KSP and Mission Controller and I'm doing fine despite having a budget. Get with the (SPACE!) program buddy.
Dude, I started playing KSP like last week. Cut me some slack.

Hes doing better than me. I cant get off the ground half the time and have never gotten a docking, or a landing on another world.
I can get off the ground, but other than that my track record is the same. But then again, I've never done anything that requires docking and I haven't really tried to get to any other worlds.

How would you feel about two full updates tomorrow? It wouldn't give as much time to respond for the evening one, but if you're interested I could do so.

Here.
Something tells me you didn't think to add "xcom"...heck, even with the dash it works...

Yes and all of them, respectively. You'd be so filled with guilt you'd probably immediately commit suicide.

You're a Life mage and the soul is something that you - or at least your temple - would hold sacred. Yes I can and will use your backstory.
...Is there something in my backstory that would prevent me from draining soul energy?
And if I didn't destroy any bit of the soul, could it regenerate? And if so, how much could I take from any given soul?
