Swing again and cut he's arm off
(Wow Gers definately going to die this round xD) Roll kick the goblin to the ground amd then try and get back up.
Why so negative? Okay, you probably have a point.
Lucius [6+1v2-2] slashes his knife into Ger's arm, completely removing it and leaving enough momentum to cause it to stick firmly in the ground. Armless, Ger [6-2v1+1] kicks Lucius to the ground, dazing him, and hops up, all in one fluid motion. Sweet. Ger's [6-1] doing much better (only -1 to most rolls now).

The four watch, certain that the armless human will die but more certain that he'll harm the elf greatly before that.

Run. Try to find a store that would sell machetes, or...the stuff Issac improvised a plasma cutter from in Dead Space 2.

Never played the game, just read the tropes.

Thanks.
What's a god trope for your big binge?

DF Suggestions / Re: A tag to make genetics less homogenous.

Tags aren't the way to go here. Proper genetics are.
Note that some traits, like skin color, are mostly homogeneous in populations that can't or don't mix. If the Fortresses of Steel are the only dwarves in the world, or all others are far, far away, homogenized populations are to be expected--to a point, at least.

Yay, DF flash drive no work!
I'll see if I can get it to work.

Anyone want to work on the TV Tropes page? Say, someone who feels up to writing a decent description and/or combing through the pages for a great page quote?

Whose idea was it to put all of my DF stuff on one flash drive and not make backuos?
Oh, right, mine.

If I can, I'll rescue the fort. If not, I'll restart one with the same concept. Unless I forget.

I rule fortresses!
Adventuring ends poorly or boringly.

This could work.
At least, not another multiplayer or magic suggestion, is it?
That's always nice.

What would cuts of meat be for weirder creatures, like dragons or flesh balls? And then there are titans...

Create new minion that can throw things!
Have it throw fluffy wamblers at the weakest imps!
Gauge the effects of thrown wamblers!
Turn dead imps into a crown!

DF Suggestions / Re: Let's Discuss: Magic

With lesser creatures though, things are different. Most cannot even manipulate the magical fields around them, it takes a lot of learning, from masters of magic, or from the books and tablets left behind by the gods. Even then, it takes a very strong affinity or a lot of training to be able to use magic with any degree of strength.

Tedious "training" for magic skills and any other skills should imho play out in a fast forward way, for example by simulating your adventurer being put into a routine of eating, drinking, sleeping and (abstractly) training at or nearby their trainer, the "fast forward" could be cut when your adventurer becomes for example notably hungry or detects an enemy creature or is spoken to.
I agree with this, in general principle as well. Studying swordplay for 20 years should't take 20 years IRL.
