Misdirection took that moment to launch her own surprise attack-a wave of intense vertigo induction-it would increase what he was already feeling ten times over.

OOC: I expected my action to be done with the rest, but I guess I worded it wrong...
I might have just missed it.

Richard took that moment to launch his own attack.
"Gabriel, help us out."

Gabriel pointed at the Light and he was blasted with a small burst of ice, smaller than the one Sigmund was holding in his hand.
Richard looked confused.

"Freyja? What, like the Norse goddess of fertility? I don't see her anywhere."

All Richard (and by extension, Gabriel) saw was a woman standing near Sigmund, but Richard couldn't make anything out, and anyway she didn't look Nordic. Or goddess-like.
((She's almost invisible, remember?))
"Freyja, the goddess. She told me that she was going to assist me, with defeating this fool."
Now, Sigmund fires ice at The Light, coordinating his attack with Misdirection. He aims to simply freeze his limbs rather than kill him.
"Oh, God, so cold, I'm gonna throw up--" He does. "Oh God, can I surrender yet?"

I'm glad.
Redcliff doesn't have lots of allies, but it treats those it has well. Erm...where is the most recent map, and is Ironstone City or Ironwood Pass on it?

What did the baby do, crawl? Or did an older sibling carry him/her around?
Also, are you sure the parents are alive?

If elven magic is letting elves steamroll dwarves,
It's not an everyworld thing, just when elven magic is what's giving them the edge and almost allowing them to kill all dwarves. Besides, who needs treants and dire bears when you can have tower-capants and giant cave spiders?

"What'll we do with him after we're done, though?"
Spin the Light around to dizzy him.
Whoa, whoa, getting dizzy...stop, please, I wanna get off...Oh, wait! I almost forgot!"
The Light tries the fire trick again. It manages to scorch the van but not much else.

Agreed. Also, civs should learn magic from other civs.
If elven magic is letting elves steamroll dwarves, dwarves would adopt elven magic. If two human nations have different types of magic, they would swap notes in peacetime and perhaps some Jacks-Of-Both-Schools would arise. Stuff like that.

Grab his cape between two fingers and lift him up in the air, presenting him as a target for the others.
"As Edna said, no capes!"
"Whoa! Putmedownputmedownputmedown--"

"Gabriel, you know what to do."

The archangel nodded, and pointed at the Light.

"You are outnumbered and outmatched. Prepare to recieve divine punishment."

Gabriel raised his sword to the sky, and a blast of intense heat blazed at the Light.
"--yowch, that hurt. I'm kinda glad I upgraded the ol' jumpsuit..."

I think the Ironstone house would get along with Redcliff. They sound similar. I had dwarves as a vague inspiration for the House of Redcliff, so someone who lives in the caverns and mainly uses metals and such would have a lot in common with them. Do the caverns have any mushrooms or whatever? We could set up a trade of wheat and other surface crops for fungus.
There are some cave mushrooms, perhaps enough to feed thirty people for a month can be gathered every year without damaging the mushroom patches beyond regrowth. We currently have no ability to farm said mushrooms and must rely on them to grow back (all of those outcomes were rolled for sake of fun :P)
Hm, well then some kind of food importation would be a good idea no? I can imagine those mushrooms and alcohol brewed from them being valuable luxury foods, like that luxury coffee IRL brewed from beans that have gone through the digestive tract of some kind of weasel or whatever, and so would fetch several times their weight in wheat at minimum.
You guys can also band together to do some agriculture, figure out a way to grow the shrooms along with increasing wheat yields.
That could be neat.

Of course, a trade deal sounds great, half my mushrooms for wheat being brought in to feed my people sounds nice. :3 Must not starve, now that would suck :P
Excellent. We have a deal.

Outsiders are not welcome in Ironstone City currently, all trading/meetings/etc. are held in Ironwood Pass, Zanzar trusts few to enter his city, and sees it as a way to find something to repent for his brother's crimes.
If we find the time or need, you can send some mushroom seeds to the Isle of Fire and we can prepare an artificial cavern or something. Or you could set up something near Ironwood Pass. We could work something out, couldn't we?

Lancelot has been added to the waitlist.

Maybe he gains more strength or forms. Beast-Boy, maybe?
Who? Tomcat?
The Fool has come up with a more sensible suggestion, but I still like my idea better.

Granted. You run out of food at home and all of the stores are closed.

I wish demand for my stories came back up, and GreatWyrmGold and the Utahraptors were therefore brought back from the dead.

Sigurd breathing grew heavy as the dart glowed yet again, and the Shadows and Sigmunds forms blurred, then split into a series of other doubles. He lifted his hand, and a ball of ice formed just above his palm, hovering a few inches above his hand. He smiled at The Light.
"Surrender, and be silent once more. Or face the wrath of the Norse."
"What he said."
((Does he have any equipment with him?))
Who, the Light? Nope, just the cape and jumpsuit.

Turning to put the henchman between himself and his old nemesis The Shadow stated "Greatest Nemesis? I think not. The burly Russian was more trouble than you you mumbling abomination. Now I suggest you surrender now. Clearly you are outmatched."
"Bah, I just remembered why I didn't mind not being able to talk."

"Mate, you really want to piss us off?

Titania disappeared, and Richard shot himself with the Evoker again.

"I summon thee, Gabriel!"

The feminine archangel appeared near Richard, staring at the Light with the wrath of gods concentrated in his glare.
This disturbs the Light some, but he shakes it off and gestures in a sort of kamehame hadoken thing, and a burst of fire erupts from his gloved hands. The Shadow dodges, but the henchman gets roasted.
"Whoops, gotta watch out."

I thought cutters made perfect gems and setters made other stuff.
That's not how it works - both gem cutters and gem setters, when entering a strange mood, appear to have a flat 50% chance of producing a perfect gem with a single decoration, and the rest of the time they gather multiple ingredients and produce a fairly random item (which can sometimes be furniture).
And now I know!

If I made a reaction that turned, say, 2,000 bees into one "bee block," would it take bees out of hives or what?
