in a sense yeah GWG, thats the problem. Remember that ICARUS is a prototype being tested. By the end of the testing time, should she not prove the most effective version, her mind and memory will simply be reset. But currently the one in charge of her testing is only spending his time building other, more interesting weapons, which only makes it less and less likely that ICARUS can prove useful. A very frustrating situation

That was a completely suboptimal turn. I mean, we could have damaged the Thunderbird,  crippled the Emperor's fire, and be in a much better position than we are now. ((I mean, I didn't expect our captain to play only a single card.))

Right, I'm pretty much done with preliminary choosing (I've never been in the position to choose 5 sheets out of 16 - it's just as fun and simple as I suspected it to be)

so here's a quick mention of how waitlisting will happen - the current players (the ones who aren't out) will nominate waitlisters, and then I'll put who gets in to a vote among them. It seems like an interesting system to me, so that's what I'll go with.

To be fair though, you just used a different fuel in the thermite (instead of the regular iron, which I think Pan's mix uses?) and really, the only way to know if any of the fuel mixes we try would actually work would be to test them, which obviously isn't happening (sadly).

By the way, for that dicyanoacetylene idea: http://www.sciencemadness.org/talk/viewthread.php?tid=21743   might give some inspiration in that direction.

Don't ask me how he does it, but there's something about him and his bat that makes me shiver. Maybe the bat is made out of metamaterials...
