You could include making that in the timeskip turn.

"It hasn't been an hour yet, there haven't been bears sighted in the region for over a year, and how would she explode?"

Kext shrugs.

"Dunno. Magic?"
"..."

Kyle looks around and then decides to take a break and try turning something into meat.
((You'd probably be better-off conjuring meat from thin air.))

<Angel, I think now is a good time to tell him how regection would make you feel.>
<I...I don't know...>

Once the parachute opens and the craft is drifting gently down, that should be slow enough. Also, Kerbals usually don't fall off in Space, and if you're in Space proper, you can jetpack back to the ship.
I suck with jetpacks. And he was drifting away fast somehow.
It should have been space-proper.

More science instruments are needed! The faster you get those the less repetition you'll be doing going to past locations. You also won't have power problems with all those scientific instruments.
Which technology gives us more science, praytell?

Is anyone interested in a worldbuilding thread on the first game's world?
Sounds neat.

Spoiler: The Lakers (click to show/hide)
I'll choose where to start once the tiles are numbered.

Alistair just hugs Angel tighter. He's eight, he doesn't know what to do in this situation!
And neither does Angel!
"I'm sorry. I don't want to bug you..."

In the initial list. You said he'd made questionable choices to make him less trustworthy and taking in the pups was number 3a. Taking in untrained, unbound wolf pups. Disease is fair enough but trained and bound is hardly a valid argument for 5 pups that couldn't kill a rabbit let alone one of us.
And that was a reason to distrust them. And have you ever heard of rabies? That's just the best-known lethal disease they could have.
So, wait, you bound child animals and they could somehow give consent. Neither children nor animals are considered able to give consent in the real world. What the heck? (And have you ever tried training a wolf cub? They aren't a collar and a trip to the vet away from being adorable dogs, they're still wild animals.)

It was in the middle of camp when it happened lol that's why I had to warn off half the group from intervening in those 2 people's problem. You should have heard me shouting it.
Ah.
Still, this leaves the rest of the problems.

The horses were fine when USEC fled and the golem cut them off he ran when it showed up. I had several minutes warning before it showed. On a horse I could have been half a mile away before it showed . More then far enough to be out of it's range .
How did you have several minutes of warning, and why didn't you warn us?!?

The gods would have loved it. Extra ammo to use tormenting him but they'll do that no matter what I do.
How would the gods have loved your fleeing?

But willingly jumping into that battle should at least go some way to proving he can be trusted.
I don't see why. All it proves is that you won't stab us in the back for no reason.

Because math. Okay, it seems I pre-spent an AP due to a mistake. No harm no foul, right?

A knight not using armor. Because to move normally in armor, you have to be dexterous out of it.
Not so much. A well-trained knight in decent armor (which, being nobles, they could sure as hell afford) wouldn't lose dexterity. Speed, perhaps. Endurance, almost certainly. But dexterity? Well, look at people in pretty accurate replicas of medieval armor doing cartwheels, and consider that knights didn't have a day job to go to when they weren't practicing for the next Renaissance Fair.
I would argue that plate armor wouldn't let you flex your joints so easily...
If it's rusty? Sure. If it's well-maintained, not so much as you'd think.
Guess which one knights usually used?

Selina gets up and tries to get away again, getting really afraid at this point.
Hug to stop running.
[3v5]
Selina gets a tackle-hug.

Go Super Smash Bros. on them crystals.
Your extremely light hammer bounces off the remarkably hard crystals.

Kyle continues following I guess.
[2-abbr=Wisdom 2]-0.2[/abbr]-1=0]
You continue following the tracks.

Keep looking for Selina for great shipping curiosity shipping!
[5-1=4]
You find tracks!

((Oh, I'm just defaulting my action to 'be back at camp and do nothing', which you can freely assume happens for the time being. However, that does give me an idea.))

Pick nose back at home base or whatever.
And eat it, I suppose?
"You! What are you...never mind. What have you found? Do you know where the others are?"

Much to Jebediah's delight (side note: "Jebediah's Delight" is a great name for a band, and as of the time this report was finished a few interns began a band of that name), we research general rocketry. Also to his delight, we decide to take the Mk III into space. For...data. Right. One key-binding later, we launch.

Some kerbonaut in a precarious situation.

Mystery goo continues to fall into the environment. Interns are advised not to try and catch droplets on their tongues like snowflakes.

Eh. Probably nothing.

Goodbye solid fuel. Hello liquid fuel.

A photograph of a flying kerbonaut which has been known to induce nausea at close range. The photo is pretty creepy, too.

Gravity turns are an important part of any flight. Assuming you want to get to space.

There are two camps at the KSSP: Those who think that taking pretty pictures is the best, if not the only, benefit to space travel, and those who think that while other things are more important, the pictures are still really pretty.

Strange symbols were noticed floating above the rocket. Their meaning is unclear.

We take a couple of goo observations and crew reports on the way up. We reach 40 kilometers, exceeding the Mark Three's previous record, and realize that fuel is starting to grow short. Fifty klicks are reached. We get up to about 65 before our fuel runs out. The command pod is released, in hopes of just a little more thrust...and we slide into space. Real space.

Jebediah Kerman recorded lovely music upon exceeding 70,000 kilometers. The meaning of this is unknown.

We reach an impressive peak of over half a million meters, making some believe that achieving orbit is possible in the Mark Three.

I'm out of practice, okay?

And Jeb attempts EVA only to fall away. Crap. How the hell do you EVA without losing the kerbal?

Space is pretty, but it gets kinda dull to do the same things twice because you screwed up.

We fly into space, this time not screwing up.

This has little relevance to the previous sentence, I just thought that that mountain looked cool. Oh, and we're in space. Successfully.

Jebediah is seriously creepy when he's happy.

Come on, almost there...

At T-10 seconds to apoapsis, Jebediah...mistakes the "Staging" button for the "Throttle" button.

Damn muscle memory...

We fall back to Kerbin, having achieved an altitude of nearly 100,000 meters. General consensus is that this is a very big number.

"If the number is so big, why does it make me feel so small?" --Jebediah Kerman (attributed--Jeb denies ever having said such.)

"WHEEE!" --Jebediah Kerman

"If I hit that island there, would it explode?" --Jebediah Kerman

"Hey, I turned the command pod upside down! Wanna see that again?" --Jebediah Kerman

"Cool, I'm on fire!" --Jebediah Kerman

"Cool, my parachute's on fire too!" --Jebediah Kerman
Actually, we're starting to doubt that attributed quote now. Poetry isn't really Jeb's strong suit.

Neither are looks.

Still, he's brave, he's a damn good pilot, and he owns a junkyard. What more could you ask for?

At eight minutes from liftoff on the dot, Jebediah splashes down in the ocean. Science is recovered.

1. I sent back all but one of the crew reports by radio. 2. I didn't, technically, purchase Advanced Rocketry until after the flight. On that note...

We have a new technology available!

Another pamphlet. You guys are saving them, right? Our graphic design guys sure aren't.

We can research Survivability or get six more Science and get one of the other three available technologies. It wouldn't hurt to get some plans for the future, too. Mountains? Orbit? Orbital mountains?

Oh, and kerbals float. So he could have gotten us even more science.
Oh, NOW you tell me that! (My only previous experience with kerbals and water was Jeb hitting the water at a significant velocity.)

As for tech, we need the chutes one. It leads to solar power, more science and landing gear.
Try voting before I start the update next time. Should I count this as your tech vote for tomorrow's update?

Sometimes Kerbals will not grab the pod when they exit.
Any idea how to make it not happen?

Only when it is going too fast.
Define "too fast".

4889
But what if you get where you're going first?

Firing up KSP to work on today's update, but I wanted to get that separate from the body of the thing.

Make the rivers more visible, maybe by removing some of those lines. If you need them for filling, you could make them beige or something.
On that note, why do some inner/outer borders of lakes have Rivers between them but not all?

Why would someone want Brutal Raid when they can just Raid and then Raze/
Why can mimic not be used in Spring or Fall?
Apostate seems...interesting.

Impossibulls seem mildly OP and are apparently based on a bad pun.

Are we signing up now?

It turns back into a plain (as fields are terrain-types, not terrain improvements).
So... harvesting from a desert works as a pseudo-irrigation that turns deserts into plains? Well, that's a bit strange, but okay. I guess that undermines the Merciless Djinn combo a bit.
Indeed.
