Next hour was an exageration. She needed several weeks minamum and if I could sense her so could others.
"If I didn't bind her, someone else would have!" is a pretty terrible argument.

Quote
She eats animals so every predator in the area would attempt to kill her given the chance to defend itself.
Which is why sleeping lions are routinely mauled by every other animal on the savannah. And why bears are routinely found mauled by wolves. Except they aren't.

Quote
Or Gnolls would have discovered her and come to bind her themselves and forced her to agree when she got back her will.
See above. Besides, don't gnolls hate diplomacy by your reckoning?

Meditate on the dream, finding out what it means.
Watch me become the God of Meta.

Add the goo to your keys. Bind research to 1, 2, 3 etc.
Suggestion noted!

Aim for the mountains again. If it lets us get to 35 km, it'll get us higher up if we try more kerbally. Or we'll crash land on them!
Request noted!

GWG, your character's over the age restricion. It's only by 1, but still.
I remembered said restrictions being a decade or two higher.

My mom was called a bastard(by a priest of all people). She was born before her parents were married unlike her young sister and brother.
Is it mean to say that I'd expect it from a priest before I'd expect it from most?
And that means I have heard of the term being used to refer to women. The more you know...

We don't even have an OOC thread, a Lore Thread is a bit out of place.

(( Yup all cleared with him, it'll make sense soon. Thats his appearance he can have normal arms but he's Vjara the snake warrior for a reason. ))

"Indeed they do, but perhaps you should ask them why they follow my orders rather then me. It would be more polite. As for why they are my comrades well that's simple. I consider them to be friends and summons would be an insult where as comrade or friend is not."
"The details aren't terribly important; if they're willing, they're willing. The question is...well, are they? Is there a way out? And how do non-sentient beings, let alone the dead, give consent?"

Alma at the time? No? The moment she was healed? As you can see yes she did and I made no attempt to prevent it.
And then what? Is she not still bound despite this rebellion?

Quote
Wolf? The moment I sealed him into a stone he had the option of refusing to be bound to me. He accepted it just as the rest did or I would have freed the souls to move on.
Which brings up the question of how animals can give consent, but eh. Not an issue. Beyond the ethics of making Wulfenstein's Monster.

Well in the middle of a forest full of monsters, Gnoll warriors, summoners, necromancers and other violent types the odds of her surviving the weeks she needed to recover are close enough to 0 to be 0.
And why would any of them rip her apart, or even attack her? She has no valuables or anything, and if she did she would have no ability to resist. She isn't made of meat, and herbivores probably don't eat plant people. Violent types, perhaps, but that just means they tend to solve problems with violence, not that they're violent to cause no problems! And given the low density of such things per unit area, the chance of any of these coming across her in the next day, let alone the next hour, is pretty low.

((Sanure okayed that?
And seriously, what's with the arms?))

Carl considers specifying his query, but decides that it would be rude.
"You say that your summons are 'comrades'. What, exactly, makes your summons comrades? Do they not follow your orders, come when you call?"

The plant would be dead already if I left her in the forest like that. Instead I sealed her up to heal then intentionally brought her back to life. I was discussing if this was possible with Sanure for the last few days to do it.

As for the wolves? They were dead and now the mother and father can protect there kids again and any summon can choose to break it's connection with a summoner at any time if they choose. My summons all choose to serve me including Wolfenstien. It is perfectly capable of choosing not to stay here but it wants to protect it's family and it's family are attached to me. Something that happened with 0 input from me of any kind.
Were they capable of resisting?

Except this started from Giglameshe's message and he specifically said it's OOC.
OOC, talking about his character's reactions. The devil is in the details.

But in her condition she wouldn't have survived an hour before something ripped her to pieces.
Like what?

Torban wanders back into the camp with his arm wrapped around his companions waist then shouts at the top of his lungs so everybody can hear him.

"Everybody who has a problem with or is curiuous about summoners come here, we need to talk."
Carl heads over.
Carl heads over.

"Well first things first. Introductions."

As if on cue 8 blades and a warrior with snakes for arms appear to either side of Torban.

"These are 8 blades and Vjara. 2 of my summons as you would call them. Or comrades as I would call. The woman besides me is my girlfriend she just caught up with us.

Kyle, Alma is fine and say's she's comfortable enough. If a little miffed that she's trapped now. If you'd asked I could have explained binding her is on ething but only a summon can summon or communicate mentally with a summon.

Do either of you have any specific questions?
"
"...Why is your girlfriend...ah...where did you find her?"

Before I decided to add that age restriction, I forget if I thought of you, BFEL or Remuthra first. But all three certainly crossed my mind.
Yay? I'm infamous for playing child characters?
Also...BFEL?

I'm pretty sure he means "Waitlisters are bastards" in the "from a different woman then the one their father married" perspective instead of the "asshole" version of the word.
I've heard the term only ever used to mean illegitimate sons.

Spoiler: Timotheos (click to show/hide)

I know what you mean Will, but it makes this feel better
"Indeed."

Yes. I'm sure the mind-broken plant woman you forcibly sealed into a stone gave her utmost consent to be trapped as used a weapon. Same as the dead wolves you forcibly returned from the dead into an abomination.
Don't kid yourself - they're trapped serving you, though it's odd the monster you effectively kidnapped is treated with more respect than the person it tried to eat.
You do have a pretty good point there. Hard to see how anyone except a summoner wouldn't see it that way.

and they ain't slaves. That was kinda the point I was making. Treat them with honor and respect. Like people not as slaves.
TorbanSoliari's point of view is different to mine.
