Me, for instance. I don't even use macros.while fun right nowContrary to popular belief, there are those amongst us who play DF in its purest, macro inducing sense. Third party programs are a meh.
....that third party programs are almost required to play.
Give them all little adamantine weapons (but not blunt weapons!) and paint the shirts the color corresponding to a weapon lord of that type. Then put all seven on to start a new fortressPaint would encourage them to be re-stolen.
we would bring laptops , because big computers are too big .Apollo 13 had a big computer, and that was when computers were huge and spacecraft were not meant to be inhabited by already-on-the-edge people for months. We could afford to take a few big DF computers.
If we are bringing along games, how about DF(obviously), Skyrim, Left 4 Dead 2 (ETERNAL GIBFEST), Portal 2, we can download Cataclysm RL, Cortex Command, Minecraft, Terraria, and other awesome games that come out between now and then? Also Spore, Civilization, Gnomoria, probably virtual versions of some board games...
Are there any games about being on a spacestation and a murderer goes around stealthily and brutally killing people?...Space Station 13, depending on mode.
Download that and make it mandatory.
It's not like we're going to the middle of nowhere people. We'll have broadband internet connection. Sure, the ping might be quite high(Several minute delay), but we can use the internet.Ping time could be over an hour once we reach Mars. And that's assuming that we still get reception out there...
Why not use grenades instead of bullets? We could probably make megabucks by filming two hated people (the guys who invented ACTA?) playing it and posting it on YouTube. Sponsorship money would skyrocket. The sad thing is, that would probably work. Even if we got politicians, or people dressed up as well-known politicians, to do so.
Don't expect me back any time soon.
