Thanks for the suggestions, but the minecarts are unrelated to traps. I don't think wee even have any galena!I've started. Already, I'm planning overhauls to the industrial systems.
Where's that thread that describes the exact physics of minecarts, again?

I have found that a lead one hits like a truck (make a trap using them!), they usually will not fly off no matter how fast they are going, a track stop can be used to make a quantum stock pile, and for safety you should set traffic in those areas to restricted and make sure animals cannot get in.
