Nothing. Until the trolls showed up to rither trade or invade, the latter if they retained the babysnatching tendancies of ggoblins. Of course, given their size, a troll could stick a full-grown dwarf in its pocket, so they migh not just snatch babies...

What would Urist do if he was abducted by a troll?

I think that the (Stray) tag might be something completely different, like the "is having a mood" tag or the "is flying through the air and about to die" tag. I know that trolls become (stray) and don't do work, so there's that idea down the drain.

Agreed.  It HAS to be a glitch.  And a very dangerous one at that.  :S

So those doors now have a mind of their own don't they?

I really couldn't say.  They lock perfectly fine and they act normal in most cases.  But if a dwarf wants to go through a door he goes through the door.  Doesn't seem to be any way to stop them barring a burrow.  It locks zombies etc. in just fine.  I assume what happened initially is that a dwarf got injured and was taken to the hospital which resulted in the 3 zombies locked inside getting out.

It's more of a corpse magnet, if you ask me.

Well that's because everything just absolutely refuses to stay dead. So we just have to get magma and start throwing all these damn zombies into it.

Alright...

All castes in the GOBLIN creature can breed with each other, if they're of opposite genders. Goblins can tame pretty much all creatures they run into in non-good biomes, as well as (almost?) all creatures in the caverns. Trolls are cavern creatures and have the tags needed to show up in their own squads--I think it's [SLOW_LEARNER], but I'm probably wrong. If you made war trolls into a goblin caste, they would be part of the GOBLIN creature, not cavern creatures with SLOW_LEARNER. Any questions?

Uranium is present, in pitch- or hornblende, I forget which.
Sweet pods are like fungal beets. Have you ever tried to eat a raw beet? Add in some fungusy taste and various mechanisms to protect the pods from dralthas and crundles, and you have a sweet pod.

Why does everyone assume dwarves are all brain-dead morons, when they're just normal people who sometimes make famously bad mistakes? By that logic, all humans are brain-dead morons.
