Wait, who's Bes?

5117
<Kyle. Calm down. It's okay.>
Will doesn't expect this to work...but it can't make things worse, right?

5118
Jesus GWG. Way to get the show on the road.
Thank you.

Way to seize on the least important part of my post and ignore the salient points I made.

"I have read many works on philosophy. The question of purpose and origin, and the existential dread that comes along it may very well be the most dangerous question to ask yourself if you want to lead a positive life. I recommend deleting, ignoring or supressing the desire to learn about it.
We may need to revoke ICARUS's Giving Advice License.

Angel: "Your Own Character". Technically true.
Nuriel: "Your RPG Character". Also technically true.
Will: "Your Own Character". Guess.
(All of these were asked if they were from Homestuck or a Creepypasta.)

<I know. I'm sorry.>
<Kyle... I don't think we can date anymore... We can be friends, but we can't date at this point...> Conny comes in, puts the apple down, and then leaves.
That's...unfortunate.

<Call me biased, but when someone calls Kyle out for sexual harrassement, my first thought is "why hasn't this happened sooner" :P >
<Yes, yes, but I'm surprised ha managed to get six charges from one woman!>

"My creator even placed a Mana Siphon Chip inside my chassis so I could use magic attacks.
Will's ears perk up at this.

I did already. They are not going to accept it. Talking to them is nothing but a needless risk and a waste of time.
You never actually explained why all the examples I gave would never apply to gnolls. Or why they would refuse trade, or tribute. Or why attacking them head-on would work out any better than talking to them and getting attacked.

I'm going to go ahead and stop any argument from happening. Let me look for something right quick...
Cymea hears an interesting rumor about a Gnoll raiding party having been seen near the edge of the Llanwrton Vale. It was easily dispatched however.
This Should give you all a good indication as to what the Gnoll's intentions are.
Vikings raided, too, but that didn't stop them from trading when it paid off better. And don't get me started on knights and samurai, pre-chivalry.

I just did it as an action and got mine straight away. And now you all see why I was against diplomacy from the start and in the spirit of self congratulation.

I told you so. Thats twice in 2 days.
You are making me consider quitting this game again...
I mean, seriously. Did you seriously just say "I Told You So" when all you have is a letter that proves that at least some gnolls are raiders? Might as well cut off oil trade with the Middle East because some Middle Easterners are terrorists.

Quote from: Letter to Torban
As you have probably figured out, the gods can talk to you. It comes with being a summoner. Now you've also probably figured out, the gods aren't as kind as people make them out to be. I should know. Anyways, be prepared to face some hardships in your travels to the Merthy Woods. The people that hired Lucien didn't tell him about the vicious Gnolls living to the east in the Llane Vale. they have supposed claims to the Merthy woods. Keep this to yourself. We wouldn't want the caravan to end so abrubtly. Not with everyone's lives at stake.
You know who else lays claim to things? Warlords. They are perfectly content to let people live on their turf if they get paid off. After all, if they kill everyone they only get things once, but if they let you live they can collect much, much more.
I suggest offering them bombs. Small, unlit bombs. Those seem like things the gnolls would find very useful, and since they're one-use they can't stockpile them until they have enough--they would keep needing them.

Torban is under orders not to tell them about the Gnolls, Not the letters :/
Alexandria seems perfectly content to take any excuse to not share things with others.

She just glares at Kyle.
"I am your commanding officer. One of your squadmates ran off, two others started chasing her. Go find one of them and bring whoever it is back."
It's all coming back to Kyle now.

Meh. They look like they have it handled.
"...Alright. See if you can figure out some way to stop...this."
You note that the crystal seems to have advanced a good bit farther than it had been a moment ago. Maybe...a foot per minute?

"Considering my first assumption on where I was was that I'm in heaven I think so."
"..."
"Alright, bright boy. Do you remember me?"

The "And...?" is that the markers that tell the tutorial that "Oh hey the craft is now in orbit" have changed, without the tutorial realizing it. So it's looking for a marker that either doesn't exist or doesn't change when a craft goes into a circular orbit any more.
Oh.
That's not convenient.

what is it that you need to learn, tell me, and i will provide you an useless tutorial free of charge
The controls.
Specific.
When I have a specific query I'll ask it.
Although the whole "get into orbit and end up roughly where the Mun is" thing is a bit arcane to me. And it seems important.

Anyways. No TTMp2, so back to jets. I make a nice, big one I call the Microraptor because it has four wings. It comes with an eject button and was intended as a VTOL craft. Jebediah, our pilot, noted that the plane fell in a sad medium between "able to take off" and "awesome explosions". He reported that the cockpit was fun to roll around in, though. The Microraptor was redesigned; pilot Jebediah Kerman noted that it did a backflip without him needing to do anything and that the crash at the end of the backflip was satisfyingly explosive. Additional weight in the form of fuel tanks was added to the front and the launch sequence modified. The Microraptor again began to backflip and crash. (If the pilot ejects first, it isn't a crash!) Aft fuel tanks were moved forward and a passenger compartment added towards the front. Four ranking engineers died due to frontflip, which Jebediah Kerman noted was "an interesting change". The passenger compartment was removed, but the Microraptor continued to frontflip. The fuel tanks were moved back slightly. It flipped sideways, much to Jebediah's surprise. Engineers installed the other aft fuel tank and it flipped backwards. They inched it forwards, it flipped backwards. They threw pens at it, it flipped backwards. I decide to take a break from KSP.

(or just saiyans, if super-saiyan is too unrealistic/difficult).
So much more realistic than super-saiyan.

Chat about various holy sites or whatever to Ramat. And also ask about the scale of his worship.

I believe what Alexandria is saying is that people weren't preparing for the possibility of failure, and that it is equally important to prepare for that.
Well, there's not exactly a lot we can do to prepare for any particular possibility for a while.

That and that attacking first gives us an edge. Negotiating with an enemy who outnumbers you enormously makes it a lot easier for them to take you down.
Your walking right up to them. Armed or not they have the advantage over you in that situation and if they use it then they kill your or take you hostage. Not the kind of risk I'd take.
...And this is worse than attacking them, how? Do we somehow attack them without leaving the comfort of our own homes?

((I just imagined a neck hug and it is not pretty.))
Stella is a dragon right now. It works.

ICARUS gives HILDA an awkwardly long hug
"Shh..there,there. There is nothing wrong with being worthless."
Well, not bad for a first try.

<Kyle is a busy man I guess?>
<Yeah, but the woman in question didn't seem like the kind to hang around the boss's kid so he could bug her, you know?>

Stella Hugs Will with her neck
"So Will, I found a nice secluded spot for a picnic if you want, almost no way to get there except from the air"
"Sounds like a good time. Shall we prepare a picnic basket now?"

The point I'm trying to make is. Your all hoping it will go right and not thinking about the consequences if it doesn't.
What consequences? How are they any different than not trying at all?
