DF Modding / Re: Modding Creatures to Trade

Let's see if I can rephrase that: What creatures are essentially guaranteed to be domesticaed by such a civ?

My apologies for not having had time to work on the fortress this week, some emergency life stuff came up that has been keeping me completely occupied. I should be able to get back to it this weekend.
Dwarves are all alcoholics, and well-known for being neither touchy-feelie kinds of people nor good at expressing emotions positively. Besides, how many forts have you had where your dwarves aren't "no stranger to despair?"Have you ever had a family member go overseas into war and then die?
I assure you, it's not a "happy thought".
I've lost family. I've also walked in on friends successfully committing suicide. In neither case did I completely lose my mind from lack of hope and anything else to live for. I might have if I was already a fragile wreck of a man, no stranger to despair.
Let me rephrase that:And I'm a bit doubtful as to the ability to locate aluminum at all (aside from bauxite, of course).
It's only the third most abundant element in the Earth's Crust, after Oxygen and Silicon. Should be real difficult to find. Pure Aluminum is rare, but Aluminum Oxides are so abundant as to be the basis of most of the mineral's known to man.
Seriously look it up.
Yes, it's rare. But it is found natively and without a significant stretch of the imagination one would assume that the fantasy race known as "dwarves" would be able to mine for it and melt it down. There is no concept of what kind of smelting technology is present in DF, so to say that it "should really be unsmeltable" seems like a massive, and presently unsupportable, assumption. Small clusters; yes. Remove, rename or reduce price; no need to.Why do so many sources have to be contradictory?
I never posted in the old StNPO threads, either. Is that an issue?Yeah but I've done a few successions with you and seen you round though I do wonder the nature of the issue you've proposed, care to elaborate?
...Just based on the fact if I recall correctly you've never posted on a SNPO thread before...
