You can build multiple floor/wall tiles at once. After b-C-(w for walls, f for floors), hit u and k to increase the number of wall/floor tiles you're building.

Idea? Be your own worst enemy. Say, lock all doors for a year, or build a lever connected to something that if an insane dwarf or marauding gremlin pulled it, the fortress would be partly flooded/collapsed/something/full of angry monsters/else irreversible that would hurt your fortress. Be creative!

It is unexplored, but it stayed that way even after I breached the magma sea next to it when it should have revealed it.
Revealing parts of caverns and magma seas is a bit iffy-weird. That could be normal...for DF.

No idea why DFreveal didn't work, though.

I think it means dwarves will put fish, plants, and so forth in the same barrel. Not sure, though. Maybe we should check the wiki.

Not quite. Glass, especially clear and crystal glass, makes light penetrating through the ground plausible.

I was thinking that this would be a place where roomless dwarves would sleep in lieu of a dormitory. Y'know, to stop dwarves from falling asleep in front of giant badgers which just stopped them from hauling that log the rest of the way into the nice, safe fortress?

More likely Norse Mythology's Yggdrasil. Which brings me to a point: I think World Trees should have guardians.
