OP: I don't think any of the modding you did could even come CLOSE to doing what happened. Heck, I don't think that that can be done by any modding method that does not risk turning your dwarves into living trees that eat wagon meat or something. Sometimes worldgen just bugs out.

You want bolts to not break because...you want to waste adamantine on them? I have little sympathy for you. Use addy for helms and breastplates and axes!

Oh, and remember how one bolt can be melted down for as much metal as a whole stack? Yeah, that'll be an issue with your idea.

How about this: Two dwarven mechanics see how far their kitten-hurling devices can hurl, well, a kitten. Bonus points are given if it can kill a goblin. More are given if it kills a noble in testing.

Make your own! Capture a Minotaur and carve him a maze to drop him into.
Or better yet, embark on a minotaur's labyrinth and placate it with invaders, migrants, and the occasional expansion to its labyrinth. Even better still, mod minotaurs to be tameable, tame it, capture another minotaur of the opposite gender, and have a slowly-increasing number of beasties in there. Oh, mod them to not eat or drink too.

It only applies to worldgen, IIRC. Even if it didn't, you'd likely crash the game.

The dark strangler siege in my turn at Armorsouls. Why? The walls had holes, there was not a trap in sight, and my militia had little more than clothes and training weapons. (Masterwork training weapons, but still...) Also, it was my first siege EVER, so I didn't know what to expect, and I felt a burden not to f*ck the fort over so early on...etc.
