Nothing. The Overseer activated the !!ALERT!! burrow on accident instead of the ALERT! one, and now everyone is in the magma chamber. End of story.

What would Urist do if one toady person came to his fort?

That...is ALMOST as much a violation of common sense as unmeltable ice walls are.

That's not a problem, really. The problem is, will they burn longer than a lignite bin when on fire? Because everything can be set on fire, you just need enough fire. Or magma, as you will.
[FIREIMMUNE] and [FIREIMMUNESUPER]. Emphasis on IMMUNE. They can easily just swim right through magma as if it's air, really.
They don't if they block the fire.
Another problem being the vapor and dust clowns which will cover your shields in the burning, regardless of whether you block it or not.
The fact that there needs to be a FIREIMMUNESUPER probably means there's a way to burn them :).

Dear All Dwarves,
I understand you do not like running towards immediate danger, even if it leads to long-term survival. However, when danger is to one side and the fort to the other, do NOT run in a random direction unless it is towards the fortress. Capiche?

Essentially, a fort with two-year turns (IIRC), and each player needed to make a megaproject or monument or something.

The silk farm entry on the wiki notes that you should not use a wild animal. Why? Do tame GCS's not attack wild animals? Or is it just that wild animals might freak out the dwarf dragging them to the restraint?

Not so much. IIRC, the biggest reason that demons are as good at murdering your framerate as they are at murdering dwarves is that every demon paths to every building, a lot. With fortifications in the way, both murdering framerate and dwarves will be impaired. Plus, marksdwarves will be able to pick off demons from behind fortifications with little danger to themselves, so double yay!

Pros: Cooked food is more valuable.
Cons: Destroys seeds, can't be brewed, can't be drunk

Evaluation: Turn off plants you want to grow lots of and plants you want to brew in the cooking menu, as well as drinks and seeds.

In Armorsouls, the macedwarf routinely staves in skulls with a WOODEN shield, albeit a masterwork one. And artifact platinum shield? Awesome.

I would be fine waiting. Not every dwarf needs to have a nickname. Heck, in Armorsouls only the starting 7 have nicknames!

First name: Udil
Description: n old dwarf who's lived through one too many sieges at the Mountainhome and wants to retire. A nice fort in the wilderness sounds nice. He'll haul light stuff and do other jobs that are neither strenuous nor dangerous, especially if they allow him to express himself. Is slightly senile, which is good or else he'd leave at the first siege.
