If it was, wouldn't all adventurer races be available as outsiders?
Dwarf entity doesn't have it, and neither does elf.

Only human (Which has outsider) has INDIV
Ah...So, to get bronze collosus adventurers, I need a BC entity?
How do you make them not beat everything up and not mess things up?

I tried to swim past a hippo so that I could find a bank so that I could fast-travel to a non-river area, ideally a fort, and the hippo kicked my head in.

I can hardly wait...This mod sounds interesting, probably better than the colonization year 3000 mod. Because, seriously, that mod is vanilla with techy names and U's.
I haven't played it, so I can't say if it's good or not.

Version one will still have U's, but most of the other stuff will have graphics. (Thanks to Mayday :3)
U's are fine, as long as other things are changed.
Graphics? Ugh, those are mildly irritating. At least the Kobold Camp ones are, I haven't played with any other graphicked mods.

In the arena, I like throwing creatures and watching them blow up. I think I'll try that as a high master wrestler in adventure mode.

Those floor tiles are not normal DF floors though, as said above the important difference being that they act like Fortifications to liquids.  You can drain water into a brook without channeling the surface.

I thought you could select which dwarves can use a workshop? see if theres a option for that on your work shop

That's not the issue. The problem is that the manager will assign jobs to any workshop of the correct type, whether it's the one reserved for the master or the training workshops for newbies.

There was a suggestion a while back to be able to toggle individual workshops between "managed" (the manager assigns work order jobs there) and "manual control"; would that do what you want?
I think it would.

Side idea: Being able to appoint "assistant manager"s or something. Currently, when your pop reaches 20, your manager needs to spend long amounts of time in his office to get work orders to work. With assistant managers, if you have at least one assistant/manager with an office per 20 fortress members then you're automatically fine, otherwise the assistant manager(s) work in their offices to help out the main manager. Thoughts?

What about breeding new crops? Or breeding new animals (different breeds of dog, etc.)

Hey guys I think I've bred the perfect war beast for us! I crossed an owl and a bear, I call it an Owlb*RAAAAAAAAAWR*OHGODMYARMS!

Perhaps a giant eagle and a giant badger would be a better choice? "Beware the Giant Eaglebadger!"

Requires a special workshop--maybe a ginormous corridor that two flaming spheres with the progenitors in them that hurtle toward each other, maybe three mystic circles, maybe mirrors; reagents would be charcoal and magical spices, or crushed gemstones, or a pane of crystal glass, or something; the created creature is a hybrid of the progenitors' bodies and abilities.
Procedurally generated hybrids sound awesome. Especially if one progenitor is a dwarf... :D

The "vacuum effect" is probably dust pushing dwarves around, just like how UNDIRECTED_DUST as a creature attack will push everything around and pull things in weird directions.
I seem to recall caveins drawing in dwarves above them.
