The same reagent as in the first reaction I posted, just swap out the product line for one of the others.

Here's a version with no reagent, so you can see the difference:

Nope. You must make it into a boulder or log first, then furniture. There is no other way of doing it, without making direct soap to furniture type reactions. D:
Hm...
How would you make a "create soap ingot" type of reaction? Is it possible?

if i may i'd like to bump up with a short basic list of what kobolds can't do so that it all makes more sence for anyone reading ut.
1. As already mentioned, they can't dig stone. They only can dig soils, native metals, gems, obsidian and chert (i think because it is regarded as flint).
2. kobolds can't forge metals. They can somehow "shape&craft" native metal nuggets cold however. They can only make metal weapons from copper.
3. kobolds can't make ceramics and can't use kilns at all for any other task than "collect clay"
4. kobolds can't make armor for lower arms and hands.
5. kobolds can't eat anything that's not, at least partially, meat.
there are other differences as well but i think these are the most important and the most confining

I think i've stuck to those for the most part. We have been eating some berries thought I think.
Actually, kobolds should be unable to eat berries.

I guess I just found out what my next project is.

For a bonus, make each reaction make a cloud of soap dust/goo that contaminates dwarves.
I think that "soap ingots" would be more difficult--soap already comes in bars.
If I figure out what item type thread is, that should be easy. Can't wait to see the project when finished!

Certainly soap thread will work, weird thread material is an easy one to do. Don't forget to have soap leather too.
How, to both? This will be my first major modding project...

If it is then the reactions in the vanilla raws are wrong. I just copy-pasted the reaction and tinkered with the reaction a bit.

It uses GET_MATERIAL_FROM_REAGENT. The second part ("SOAP_MAT") of that tag points to a MATERIAL_REACTION_PRODUCT in the designated reagent ("tallow" in this case). It's saying "Go to the tallow material, look for a MATERIAL_REACTION_PRODUCT tag called SOAP_MAT and use the material it says to use"

In your case, you are not pulling the material from one of your reagents (you don't have any!) so you need to point to the material that you want directly. If you used dragon tallow in the vanilla reaction, its product line would look at the tallow material and follow its SOAP_MAT tag back to dragon soap.

Changing the product to CREATURE_MAT:DRAGON:SOAP should work.

I tried to mod in a reaction to make dragon soap. Here's the product line:

This produces "bar"s. Maybe " bar"s.

1.) What do I change to fix it?
2) How did I mess up?
