A: 47 humans, 39 elves, 1 goblin, no losses
Humans and elves?! With a GOBLIN?! He was obviously their leader, and that entire army needs to be exterminated. I've developed a bad taste in my mouth for humans since in my current world, goblins killed their diplomat, I avenged them, then the bastards seiged me. I killed all their friends and sent a couple limping back, yet still they come.
Nah, humans are just accepting of anyone. I would be, too, what with elves' high physical stats, dwarves' mechanical genius. and goblins'...ability to have their entire poor cultural upbringing erased in a single generation. The only bad thing is that human-raised dwarves sometimes shave their beards, and goblin-raised elves without their culturally-imposed pacifism or wooden weapons...scary.
Had a good one on my latest map. The entire Kobold race was rendered extinct in 'The Searing War' after a cyclops called Ferame Flickerdawns got annoyed with the Kobolds stealing things. Ferame waged three battles in spring, summer, and winter of year 3 on the three Kobold strongholds of Hatedfrog, Menacenewt and Lancedfair. Each time he took around 10 humans from the civ he had become God/Ruler of.
The final battle was known as "The Outrageous Onslaught" (a battle which still gets engraved into ALL MY WALLS 500 YEARS LATER, by a civ that it didn't happen to). Ferame must have been taken by suprise, or was just over confident, because he alone attacked the fortress of Lancedfair. He slaughtered the most of them and left.
The remaining Kobolds begged for peace, but it did no good, as they were all extinct by year 4. Most of them starved to death, the three battles having destroyed their society. Ferame wiped out 3 civs by himself.
He's been pretty quiet since then. He lives in a jungle and every 20 years or so goes on a good rampage.
Well, what else would you do? He realizes that the world's changed, more rampages than that will cause outbursts from those other than the long-lived elves and dwarves, and may cause more and more competent adventurers to attack him. Worse, if he rampages often enough, he might be in another war...but suffering from arthritis, cataract, and having-decent-metal-spears-driven-into-your-spleen-by-a-decent-warrior-itis.
