(I think you guys are making mountains out of molehills. The only real downsides are, HP cost and Kyle's bow does the same damage with a +2 to hit. The guy going to notice an arrow sticking out of his back and even if he 'hears' the mana build up, Ember got a quick travel time so dodging it not going to easy.)
((We're more focused on Kyle attacking now instead of after we have a chance to set up a halfway-decent ambush, and without even warning us, than how he's doing so.))

Sounds rather reasonable, depending on the world. Any specific targets in mind at all?

Denied, there is no possible way we could take Cadia, nor does it qualify as a 'small, out of the way world with moderately advanced manufacturing facilities' and is probably the most well defended planet in the immediate area. Not to mention Cadia has managed to throw back not one, not two, but five Black Crusades led Abaddon the Despoiler himself who only managed to even gain a foothold there after twelve previous Black Crusades had been carried out.
Details, details.

And to clarify upon the "Reasonable" thing in the subplots, they can't be "X-COM finds a super rock that gives them all superpowers and now aliens are attacking them so they can steal their eye lasers or something" Just keep it balanced.

Also, will research/weapons be limited to what the XCOM games have, or can we come up with new things to research/weapons to requisition? Electrolasers or flamethrowers or stuff?
On that note, what kinds of new material can we add to our missions? New weapons/aliens? New potential research options? What?

Don't forget about their sleeping habits, based on their posting habits. For instance, you probably hit the hay at 10 your time most of the time, but will stay up for the next few hours occasionally.

Will we discover the forum's limit in the postcount field?
It gets to 16777215 then stops incrementing.

But we don't know if magic makes the corpses weaker (like DF, without being raised right back up again), or if they're tougher, and we don't know what kind of magical defenses might be available to the necromancer, or if said necromancer is simply high enough level to have a good number of HP.))
