It's going to have to be a supernatural mechanism that can be used, similar to time travel. Finding it does not kill, it is using the mechanism that causes death. It is very much something that requires a certain degree of willpower to achieve as Fate lies past the end of the universe, which in most people's realities, cannot ever occur, once a mechanism is prepared, the only issue is overcoming one's own point of view. Lore-wise at least.
Meta-wise, it's so that it can't be weaponized properly as a perfect insta-kill. Even if a way to enter it is created, the person would be able to negate it simply by still possessing some of their own perspective and thus refuting the will-power based mechanism.

I understand the meta, but am having trouble figuring out the in-story reason we can't weaponize it.

If all else fails, have Selina create a magical catalyst to use a weapon like the one Cyrielle created, Will would be able to deal quite a lot of damage with unnerving accuracy though it would only have a low chance of working each time it is used.

Good luck doing that, you'd need someone foolish or deluded enough to want to enter Fate, and generally if they were that foolish/deluded, they wouldn't amass enough power/knowledge to do so.

There are ways.

Oh, and by the way...how is that "Whoever invents a way into Fate gets eaten by it" thing calculated? Could an AI of sorts be set up and told to find it, and then not eat the guy who told the AI to find it?

We're carrying around the top half of a ladder and the hole in the floor it came in, and you expect logic to apply?
