Einsteinian Roulette / Re: Einsteinian Roulette OOC

If they're manned, they're fighters. If they're not, they're drones. Regardless, if we're intending them to fly there and stop before going to a rendezvous point, they'll need a hell of a lot more delta-v than a missile or somesuch.

6062
"Nuriel. We're needed moving all of the remaining items from the house, and this will also not help him."
"You're sure?"

<Like I said, blood rage. Also no, no it doesn't.>
<Rage is a kind of stupid.>

6063
of course, at that point they're out an Overgoddess since it's not like you can free her (though I guess you could at that point)
Um. Isn't that literally all they're here for? And don't they need her to stop some major incursion into Creation?!? Geez, this plot has more holes than Swiss Cheese.
Hey, I'm telling you how you could save YOUR asses and keep the party together, since that's what was asked :P You could always do it yourselves, you're going to have to anyway.
To the first: You don't get it. This is literally their mission, and they're portrayed as pretty damn single-minded in it. What the hell will we be able to offer them?
To the second: These two angels wiped the floor with us. They can't handle this Threat. Unless there's some total BS plot device that lets us blow it up, we're doomed against the Threat, which presumably has no reason not to engage us bugs in combat if we pose a potential threat. And which might not even be in this galaxy, let alone anywhere we can reach, for all we know.

6064
"Nuriel... we're in the middle of the front yard..." Conny is confused.
"True. Where should we go?"

<See stuff about her being an overgoddess, even if she happened to be in a blood rage.>
<So? Her actions are still stupid.>

<Like I said... I don't know. There isn't much information on it. Maybe they somehow protected themselves from her, I don't know.>
<Omnipotence just doesn't go as far as it used to, does it?>

6065
Twi gets told the backstory again.

<OH, okay. So less taking pity on them and more on their desperation because she was murdering everything. Thaaaaaaat makes mores sense. Gotcha.>
Marie prods Will with that, basically.
<I don't see how. Because really, wouldn't the logical thing to do be killing the killers of those hundreds of pitiable virgins?>

<Yes, but we need someone to house her...>

Conny doesn't stop hugging!
<Will, catch!>
<Wait, what?>

Nuriel begins undressing Kyle.

6066

<She is, after all, a creator being.
Somewhat violently inclined due to how long she has existed, but at least at first she was very similar to depictions of mother earth, and pieces of that part of her are reflected in gods all across the world, just as pieces of her violent nature are. Is it so hard to believe that part of that nature may have caused it?>

<The Mother Earths I know of would have hit them with hurricanes and earthquakes if they did that, or at least not gone along with the plans of the sacrificers.>

Selina is unavailable.

<Whats your idea Conny Nuriel? And it better not scar Angel again.>
<It won't, we can get her out of my head right?>

Why not make them smaller and cheaper by making them...not fighters, but instead drones/missiles?

6069
<You all are to optimistic for your own good... And it's gonna... Get you...>
The words trail off as Kyle just kind of collapses ceasing to cry.
<Kyle, you know me. Would I be optimistic without a reason?>

Angel hugs Kyle.
<Can I try to cheer him up? I think I know how. Conny, I'll need your help. Selina, too, if she's willing.>

<It's not viable. She was originally bound to our bloodline by a ritual involving the sacrifice of nearly three hundred virgin daughters of our bloodline in order to produce enough energy to even begin to bind her... To this day we don't know why it actually worked, only that it did. We had pretty much given up at that point, and it was a last act of desperation. We expected it to fail, and for us to be destroyed soon after. The only thing I can think of... No, it doesn't really make any sense for it to be because of it, but... maybe she took pity on them. All those girls. There were more, there... ready. They had to do it themselves, and every one of them did, without hesitation or regret.
I think that part of her just... didn't want them to do it. I'm not sure why, it doesn't make sense, knowing her, but...
I don't know. There aren't many records of it, and the ritual wasn't preserved, so that noone could study it and find a way to set her free, somehow.
That's all I know.>

((Oh come on.))
<So, Shys'm Caes saw the sacrifice of hundreds of virgins, took pity on them...and went with the desires of the guys who sacrificed them? Perhaps we could exploit the horrible and crippling idiocy that becoming the Overgod seems to afflict one with?>
<Is there a single thing you're capable of saying that ISN'T completely rude?>
<Yes, but at the moment none are relevant and true. Well, some are, but you know what I mean. Jesus Christ.>

So?

6073
More than diplomacy, too.

Though if you demonstrated that it'd be better to side with you than her that might work.
Like what?
Also, cut down on pronoun use. Who are we convincing of what now?

<I can't. Not on this.>
Kyle cries with renewed strength as he realizes the futility of it all.
<Yuri and me are working out a solution. Don't worry.>
P.S. Will is almost as good a liar as he is a lie-detector.

6075
And they'll win. Because the whole might of Earth's finest failed miserably.
This so much. Especially since Yuri shot down the only real hope of anything.

And they'll win. Because the whole might of Earth's finest failed miserably.
To be fair, there are more ways to win than sheer brawn.
Like what? Nothing's even been hinted at.

P.S. Their definition of "overgod" sucks almost as much as this whole plot has.

P.S.S. I can make a strawpoll. Who wants to unmake this whole plot and go on with something less doomed to failure, like surviving in the cold vacuum of space?
