It's what Derry is gonna think. Probably.
Oh, that.
Well, what makes you think Bethany's not going to wake you up before she goes? She'd have to be really impulsive to...right.
Well, you'll still have all the rest of your good friends. And Zoidberg.

Oh Dran is going to get the shit beaten out of him when all this is resolved.
Verily.

I can't I have no program nor the talent to use one.
Wait, why would you need talent?

Oh man.  If I had any Flash skills I'd totally make a ER TD game.
At first I misread that as ERTD. As in E(rotic?) Roll To Dodge game.
...It was an unusual, confusing mental image.

I thought we had an advantage over UWM because:
1. We do lots of genetic modification, which UWM is way against.
2. We do big synthflesh things, which... I think UWM doesn't like?
On the other hand, they have more resources (at the moment). We have one--or maybe more, depending on where the other ships struck--of the UWM's major factory-worlds, but they have much bigger fleets at the moment. The question is if we can leverage our advantages to survive until we manage to catch up.
Another major advantage we have is our anomalies--the Nyars boxes presumably have some awesome stuff, and there's no way that Steve's letting us buy the best.

Quote
So how large would a synthflesh organism need to be in order to be fully sentient?
Um, how about no? Synthflesh beings without control are...dangerous.

Quote
Also, If we get our own sub-board, I'm wanting TINKER THREAD.
Indeed. We'll be getting that, I believe.

My main question about the revolution is this: Is there still a chance of us losing, and the whole revolution being crushed/scattered by the UWM? Or are we on da rails?
I hope there's a chance we can lose. Although thankfully, it isn't just up to us.

((Edit: There's also this: http://einsteinianroulette.wikia.com/wiki/Feyri_Nirel ))
Neat...block thingy. Anyone care to try adding one to everyone?

...there is also the 1/16 th kiloton round but only for the gauss cannon.
Note to self: Design 1/32 kiloton round for gauss rifles.

Wait, "Earth-3"? Did they blow up the first two or are they naming systems after major planets and not stars?
Original Earth has been turned into a museum world of sorts. Naming other planets after Earth is just people being people.
That's boring.

Yes, quadcopters are mostly limited to minor civilian stuff right now.  And yes, the ones that people can own are a tad small to be combat aircraft.  Obviously you would have to upscale them if you wanted to mount gatling lasers or whatever it is that Sean's mounting on his ponies.
Are you familiar with the square-cube law?
Or the "There's no way a craft that flimsy could hold scale gattling lasers" law?
Or the "Aircraft can't really add armor if they want to also fly" law?

I would like to point out that we don't have any equine robots that work particularly well right now, either.  IIRC, mostly because we don't have technology that can control them well enough.  And possibly because we don't have a decent enough equivalent for the muscles.
We have both in the ER-verse. As to the latter: Synthflesh, if all else fails. As to the former: Look at the kludgebot. And imagine it was designed by someone competent.

Mentally, I'm thinking of it as similar to a small helicopter.  After all, we currently have combat helicopters that are pretty dang effective.  This would just be much smaller, more manueverable, and more durable.  Compared to rocket drones, it should be able to carry more non-fuel weight, because you could power it with nuclear stuff.  That would also give it an obscene operational time, if everything else electrical is anything to go by.
Do you want it to fly? Then don't count on it having anything heavy. Like armor. Or big guns.

They don't need to be directly overhead for kinetic bombardment to work.
If they want the bombardment to hit in any kind of reasonable time, be anything like accurate, or not be laughably easy to shoot down, they still need to be in orbit. I'm pretty sure we have laser batteries all around the planet, not just near the facility.

Quote
And they're far more likely to cripple the facility to make the invasion easier: They can repair it afterwards...
1. How would crippling facilities make invasion easier? This ain't Starcraft, we're not going to be making more combat robots or troops in the middle of battle.
2. They still think this is just a worker rebellion. No reason to break stuff, and it's expensive to repair giant craters.

Right now, I think Steve is just using the HMRC as a tool for some plan of his.  It might be simply expanding his control, it might be just giving the UWM a good kick in the behind, but I really doubt he is actually wanting to put ARM in control. I will be very surprised if it ends up that Steve has been completely honest with us.
I'm guessing he's planning to use us as a crutch to get into power, and then we'll either be judged and imprisoned/executed/released or else used as some kind of elite espionage/law enforcement unit.

"I'd like the truth, mister. What happened before? Why the numerous stories of you in absentia?"
"Huh?"

Jim laughed to himself. "If I was feeling really evil I'd tell Flint you were considering his advances, so be grateful you're getting off light."
((I like this punishment. If only more leaders would come up with stuff like that.))

Fuck that noise. Apprentice him to James Bond. That'll get him dapper right quick.
I'll +1 this because it sounds rather untraumatising.

i'm still curious how this isn't the first thread where i see people asking "i don't enjoy this, why do others enjoy things i don't enjoy?"
It's more "I don't enjoy this, I want to know what is different in your case that makes it enjoyable for you".
But come to think of it, asking is mostly pointless and vaugely insulting.  Sorry, I should watch myself better.
Much the same here.

6279
What can we offer him to make him give up his life of standing silently on his rug and join us on our adventures? I'm pretty sure he doesn't care much for excitement.

dex 18 is not zero combat ability. nobody is currently using the katana, and while I am not entirely sure how this gauntled-stuff works, it was implied with huge a mind stat, it would be absolutely devastating against the angels
The katana method suggested was a one-shot deal (and normal attacking would fall prey to Will's minimal Strength and nonexistent relevant skills), the gauntlet is effectively such, and Will doesn't even have a little pistol.
Face it, Will was not built for combat. Maybe sniping, which he did to great effect back in the crossover, but again no gun.

Quote
as for the painting being damaged, there was something about that the attack needs to have the opposite affinity or something. I don't have a clue about affinities, but I think damaging the angel inside the painting may be more difficult than just throwing criminals :P
It was mentioned that cutting up the painting would cut up the person inside when he came out. I'd say there's a certain 1:1 affinity there.

Well shit. I just realised I have no idea how to RP a battered and abused kid who is suddenly abandoned by those he trusts, which may happen to Derry sometime soon. Guess I'm gonna spend the next few hours depressing myself figuring this out. :-\
...What are you going to do to make us abandon you?

6282
a) the fight will still be going when will arrives, and will being there may prove useful, out of sheer numbers and figuring stuffs out
More useful than being able to use the katana now? Especially since he has exactly zero combat ability aside from that and would only get in the way?

Quote
I am thinking b), because clearly, these guys are final boss tier enemies, so this is just a pre-lost battle to intimidate us, and by getting revenge gives us a motivation to find these angels and destroy them.

whoops, I accidentaly all the meta
And all the meta from the wrong games. RotMG "plots" are often much shorter than you would expect. See: Grandiose.

And on that note, didn't someone say Grandiose's paintings were still vulnerable to damage? The angel won't be coming out if we incinerate the painting.

6283
Isn't this basically the whole game since it turned serious?
nope
True, we started making massive ending-altering decisions even when it was still silly. *cough*Riltia*cough*

6284
whats this with there being so many Grands btw?

if all of them have the same attack-capacity as the main grand, isn't that incredibly OP?

I mean, it increases the attack output by 100% for every clone. Where is the balancing downside?
He was originally supposed to be a villain, remember?

Quote
also man, Grands paintification made the actions of 5 characters make nothing. We really need to work on our teamplay.
Yeah.

"Oh um... er... d-d-dare...? N-no! Truth...!" Selina did not want to kiss girls she wasn't with.
This is Kyle. Kissing him is likelier.

Richard's mind link is full of kittens. Again.
You caught the part where Will teleported to him, right?

((Hainuwele is unaware of the Katanas lightness, and already made her plan. Maybe Will should enter the battle, his Will is huge))
Again, Will left battle before it started. Doesn't it take a couple of turns to braceletport?

6285
"OH NO IT'S LIKE THAT ONE DISNEY MOVIE EVERBODY RUN BEFORE HE TRIES TO KILL IS WITH HIS GO-KART"
Lyle hides behind Will.
"..."

"Besides the mental issues and the fact that my legs are still slightly broken and I think something in my house has been trying to scare me? Not much."
"Then why did you kiss me? And why did you insinuate...that? And why are you such an annoying idiot?!? You're not even an idiot because you can't be smart, you're an idiot because you don't care enough to think!"

Nuriel opens fire on the melee! On the upside, the angels can’t dodge! On the downside, neither can Luna or Neferis.
Whoops.

Quote
Will notices something strange
...How? He teleported to England before the battle could really begin...

((You forgot Yomiko buffing Marie, Rag.))
Rag forgot a hell of a lot.

Nuriel: Focus fire on Dumah.
Stella: Burn the painting.
