<Do I need to go Sola on this? Yes, this is indeed not a drill! >:C Apparently the thing that blew up that place in Brazil was an angel. An angel capable of destroying planets.>
<Less destroy, more turn into barren wastelands of ash and dust.>
<...Which is better, how?>
<It's not, just...different.>

"I need materials, and a few components not readily available on earth. I will also need an enchanter who has worked with gems before. Help me get these and I'll make you some equipment~" Yomiko is beaming.
"What kind of materials and components?"

6452
"I know how to tap into- Well, I know how to build devices that can tap into the magical energies of said Leylines," By the time Yomiko says this she already has the bracelet disassembled and is putting it back together, "If I had the parts I could build you something like a gauntlet or a weapon that can draw from the mana to activate abilities. I could even make it modular so it could have different abilities." she finishes reassembling the bracelet and puts it on. <sound good?> Yomiko is still smiling.
"Sounds interesting. I'd like one for testing and such...what would you want in exchange?"

<Oh, and for anyone blocking general bracelet transmissions: WARNING WARNING APOCALYPTIC SCENARIO THIS IS NOT A DRILL.>

I'm not sure. You'd think it would be easy, but a lot of the time when I move to what looks like a decent firing position, the chance to hit is terrible or LOS is blocked.

Maybe I should try to figure out how to make Fraps video work.

True enough, some visual descriptions could give quite the depth to the story - establishing the material and craftwork of the labyrinth - while good at first, would be cumbersome and unneccessary to repeat. I would suggest sprinkling some points of notice every now and then, pretty much like the waft of fresh air did, but without any real meaning for the plot. If the waft of air even has one, that is. Doing so also makes such "hints" way more obscure and un-obvious. If that is a good thing, is another question thou.

Else -for this setting - partly decayed walls, astounding growth of lichen, cobwebs, tear and wear of the stones, a change in the used material or craftwork, the odd just-lying-around-item-without-any-(perchance-obvious)-use, some noises, changes in lightning, air or other such things - If one get's creative there always should be something to add. Finding the balance in building / forcing an atmosphere is, as always, a challenge of some sorts. I guess.
The biggest part is that it would get monotonous before too long. Still, I'll try to write some more descriptive stuff in.

(Because doing the later part can obviously have no negative influence whatsoever. Yay! :P)
[11]
If you go left, turn to page 34.
Brandishing your sword, you run down the left passage. You stop when you hear a loud grunting. Turning, you see a massive figure, perhaps thirteen or fourteen feet tall, covered in fur. Its face is a bestial muzzle and its head is framed by a pair of sharp, bovine horns.
“A minotaur,” you mutter to yourself.

If you try to smell more carefully, go to page 5.
You can't tell which way the fresh air is, but you can smell sulfur from the left-hand branch.

Go to page 11.

Fun. Now to update the Coauthors page.

Where IS Angel/Nuriel?
Still at the house.

Somewhere.

6456
"...Sounds interesting. One sec."
Will cautiously opens Selina's door, before darting in and grabbing a bracelet.
Will hands the bracelet to her. "Go on."

Bethany [30+12] Weird symbol. Don't recognize it.
Sen [12+15] Nope, not a clue.
Nuriel: [93+2] ... Goddamnit Cado.

Nuriel knows that the symbol belongs to Dumah, an angel that is part of the group tasked with the protection of Creation from external threats. She doesn't know why she's on earth, but it's most definitely not a good thing. In fact, most worlds she ends up on end up as hunks of ash and dust orbiting their respective stars.
<Uh-oh.>
<Hm?>
<I'm seeing the news, there's a bug bad angel here. Dumah, supposed to be protecting Creation from threats. Does so by destroying planets said threats are on.>

6457
Do you want to do the roll?

And how much of a bonus do being a demon and being trapped in churchgoing little girls for centuries give?

6458
Yomiko just looks at will, "Your intuition is a horrible thing to have. Hi~" Yomiko smiles at Will.
"Hi. Anything you wanted to discuss?"
Will knocks on Selina's door, having reached the location of the Backup Bracelet Stockpile.

6459
((Anyone watching TV, how much biblical knowledge do you have?))
Well, Angel is a little kid (and not in an exceptionally religious household), and Will's world's version of the Bible is kinda...different, but Nuriel should have pretty applicable Biblical knowledge.

Part of it can probably be chalked up to not understanding how LOS works. Or ranges. Or hit chances, past a few obvious pointers like "Cover makes it harder to hit" and "High Aim makes it easier to hit".

PArt of it can be chalked up to shut up.

6461
Will glares at Hainawule and walks off.
<Don't mock me. You were suggesting putting Meme in a ninja training regimen and you know it.>

((Incidentally, the conversation with Yomiko could still happen if Sanure is on.))

6462
The only time that Elf agreed to that was when I compared it to Robert Downey Jr's portrayal of Sherlock Holmes.

And, again...let's say he's able to do all that. Let's say that Elf has abandoned all reason and care for the game. Will still has two big restrictions:
1. He has to know what he's dealing with to some extent. He's Tattletale, not Contessa.
2. He is competing with 100% superhuman badasses (who can also abuse their superhuman abilities past their limits for the same reason Will can). Frankly, at that point he needs all the advantages he can get.

Consider: When has Will contributed anything other than possibly-accelerated* exposition to the party?
*Compare to the X-Man Kylun, whose power of sound mimicry is basically useless, but the authors gave the X-Men's opponents a bunch of voice-activated locks to make him useful. On a similar principle, some--perhaps much--of the data Will digs up would have been discovered sooner or possibly later.

6463
"One can do the exercises of a dedicated training regimen without having a dedicated training regimen."
"OR, you can let Meme play in ways she invents. That works too."

"Training regimen? I said it was a game, not military drill. You play until you are bored, hungry, distracted or *maybe* until you are exhausted because the game was too much fun. Have you never played a game before? Look at the kids outside, they run around the whole day."
"And they don't need authentic ninja training regimens to do so."

6464
"Will, I will just say that Meme would enjoy exercise."
"Exercise as in running around and playing, yes. Exercise as in dedicated training regimen? Less."

Meme is confused.
Will pats her on the head.

6465
"Because, you idiot, any of the training stuff can be turned into a fun game. Sneaking, climbing, shooting darts at a target, and whatever else they might have done. I was simply looking for something weird and ninjaey enough. Seriously, you need to hang out with kids more."
"Yes, because nothing says 'fun' like 'intensive training regimens'. Maybe we should put her through boot camp next!"[//color]
Will storms off and taps Yomiko on the shoulder.
"Hey, Yomiko. I've noticed you hanging around me a few times. I was wondering if there was anything you wanted to talk about. And either way, we need to get you a bracelet."
