Will picks up Hai by the back of her shirt and lifts her up to his eye level.

"If Meme decides one day to become a warrior of some kind, I'll cross that bridge then. That doesn't mean that I'll stand by and let you pressure her into becoming one, just because it's the most honorable profession where you come from."
Will puts her down.
"Moreover, there hasn't been any evidence of increasing mental maturity, and her physical stature would make her completely unsuited to fighting adult humans, or even most children, which leaves fingerlings as the only targets she could handle."

Page 16: Take the loot and equip it.
Ain't no-one rescuing us besides ourselves here...

My respect GWG, this already made my day - in an intellectual manner, that is. I actually loved these kinda books back then, so the nostalgia is most delicious.
I am glad to have met your standards of approval.

If you take both and continue onwards, go to Page 12.
You pick up the creature’s sword and strip off its robe, slipping it on over your clothes and wrinkling your nose at the smell. You head onwards, coming to another fork in the corridor.

...Is it just me, or is the interior of a labyrinth not ideal for having long, detailed descriptions that might make these take up an appreciable amount of the page?

The money is transferred. In Server 0002, Will continues investing.

Will hugs Meme back.

6484
Meme attempts to stealthily tackle Will! Giggling happily as she flew through the air.
Will catches her and falls backwards carefully.
"Oh! You got me!"

Why are there so many spaceship design games? Sure, it's been a while since there have been any, but it seems like the gimmicky kind of game that happens once, maybe with a couple copycats if it's popular.

"Hmm..so how do we do ninja training? I have no clue how they trained..."
"No. Meme is not going to be trained to be an assassin of any kind. This is final."

sheer prediction does not replace hand-eye coordination. he needs to move his hand very fast and then close his hand at the exact right time. Dex plays a role here, and not a small one
Smaller than you'd think. Where do you think Will is? How are you getting high speeds without being visible a good way out? Pretty much the only thing you need timing for, if you know their trajectory (which is exactly what Will's power can do), is close your hand...and wouldn't you know, people have a reflex for that kind of stuff.

I mean what, does Wills Mind stat completely replace his Dex stat?

I mean, he just predicts where every enemy attack will go, so of course he dodges them easily. likewise he predicts where they'll move, so he easily hits, all thanks to the power of minmaxing?
Well, it's a possibility Elf and I discussed. In actual combat, it costs mana, but out of combat mana is restored fast enough that we don't actually track it.

sheer intuition means nothing when your body can't keep up. the ability to make very precise movements, especially when moving very fast is hand-eye coordination and muscle memory from training, or put together, dexterity. It's the difference between putting theory into practise. Like a scientist and an engineer. I know a ton of stuff about the haber bosch process, because I study chemistry, but even if I had accurate blueprints, high quality tools and months of time, I'd not be able to properly built a fucking reactor
Again, it takes less swift split-second timing than you'd imagine. Unless of course Hai was invisible and silent.

6489
<Um... h-how much...?>
<As much as you're willing to trust me with.>

<Well, with the tutorial I put in the Titan level they could learn.>
<Meme needs more than mental practice, she also needs muscle memory. And, no offense Meme, muscle.>

<Well, if Will would be so kind as to load it up I could go in a do it with you. And Hai can come as well.>
<That server is still at your place, isn't it? Just access server 0001 and you should be there. Unless you screwed up the programming.>

"What a ninja?" Meme is confused.
<Ninja are Japanese assassins. Well, were; there aren't many around any more.>

Will also watches Meme.

Don't say that like it's easy. I had 33 deaths on my easy playthrough and didn't even get around to capturing an Outsider.

Partly because I kept failing to successfully assault UFOs, partly because of the lack of surviving arc-thrower-wielders on said missions.

6491
((right, the solve every problem button. doesn't mean shit if your hands keep up with your mind))
Why would they need to keep up?
1. Will sees Hai.
2. Will determines where Hai, on a ballistic trajectory, will be when she zooms by his head.
3. Will outs his hand where Hai will be.
4. Will closes his hand when the lilliputian hits it.

<Hey, Yuri, I just had an idea. How hard would it be to make a teleportation circle? Oh, and Selina, could I invest your money some?>
<Um... i-i-in what...?>
<Stocks, probably.>

"Little Titan, ask Kyle if he can make you one too, then we'll go and explore the city from the sky!"
<Not until Meme has plenty of training using them in safe, controlled environments.>

Then she remembers why she sought Will out

Are you still working on that server you developed?
"I was delayed by Kyle filling my room with notes, but yes."
Well I was hoping to get access to one, i have been meaning to run an rpg, and doing it on the server could immerse people really well
Will nods. "I was thinking of a project like that...wait, tabletop or video game? Either one works, but they require different kinds of resources."
Tabletop
"Gotcha. Maybe we could repurpose the server Kyle stole."

6493
Hainuwele does a highspeed zipping past Wills head, pulling out a single hair, then speeds off away
[MIND: 68+40]
Will possibly snatches her out of the air.
"Bad Hai."

<... You probably wouldn't want to know. Maybe because Jacque would approve.>
<If it's not something you're willing to tell me about, chances are it's not something you should be doing.>
