"No. Well, once I could make these zappy laser disks, but they didn't help much."

Will taps Kyle on the shoulder.

Okay. If you can find an in character method of restoring senses go right ahead.
"Hey, God?..."

There's a sleepy looking man at the counter and a Disney movie playing on the TV.
"Bloody hell, not even one of the good ones. Give me Grimm any day..." She mumbles to herself, looking around.
This leads to me wondering what kind of Disney movies would exist in such a world. First off, The Incredibles would most likely not have been made.

Glad to serve.
And that's supposed to be Will.

Though considering the village has been around for 100 years the water is probably fresh.
I don't follow. Cities much larger have existed for much longer on salty lakes, most notably that little pond called "the ocean".

It's not very inspiring to the people without powers that were born with disabilities to not have any heroes like them is it?
True, but...well, how many comic book superheroes have significant disabilities? The only one I can think of is the blind Daredevil, and his power is "Not being affected much by blindness".

I think good stories have heroes overcoming trials in spite of flaws, rather than getting rid of them conveniently. What makes some characters interesting is that they cope and overcome the obstacles that were placed in their way. Disabilities are rarer, but there are heroic characters who started off in poverty or as a branded member of society.
Indeed. That doesn't mean, however, that the character's flaws make him stronger, or that it would be logical for them to avoid methods to fix them.

"At home, only the richest kids had sugar."
They must not have tried too hard to find sugar sources. I mean, most fruits aren't as full of sugar as beets or sugar cane, but really now. If it's an expensive delicacy for kings, people are going to try and find ways of making it cheaper.

Tori finally arrives home from stuff! He heads for his room.
Nimue follows.

Well, I'm in no need of being pulled up by anyone.

Also, I'm obviously not dangling, since I am capable of giving you a thumbs-up.

You gloating kill-thief*.
*In the sense that I needed the kill, not that I had claimed it with some prior action.

Straight as in when you're coming to the intersection from the room with the bed and whatnot in it, it is to your right side.
There is no such path.
