>What, so, I'm supposed to approve that you decide to abuse our hospitality by making a country in our backyard without OUR permission, simply because "oh everyone's doing it"? Is that it, Hainuwele? I'm not even the one who invited Jacqueline in. The only questionable thing here is painting the rightful owner of the land as an idiot at best and evil at worst for wanting to keep her land as she sees fit .
And I never said you were banned, although now I'm considering it simply because you're trying to treat my mother like a horrible person for reacting as fairly as she could to someone SETTING UP A COUNTRY IN HER BACKYARD WITHOUT ASKING OR EVEN CARING ABOUT HER OPINION.<

<You go, girl! ...I'll be quiet now.>

<Geez, calm down. Once the paperwork is done, I'll be gone. Might be among the first of your houseguests to have done so. So tell her she can calm down, she can keep her lawn all nice, green and unused.>
<Guests have left before. Some find their own places, others leave the group.>

<Teleportation could be done, though it would take time and resources to make it permanent...>
*Response Requested*
<How much time and what kind of resources?>

Arya looks at it, smiling.
"I-I can't take this!"
"Pardon me, but...you have been feeding and housing Selina for a while, and besides she's be insulted if you didn't."
"Relatedly...I'm not good with any arts, but I really could give you some stock tips or something."

"Well, there was the talk about being nice to girls, and the one about setting ants on fire with a magnifying glass, and the one about dad's model soldiers.."
"Wait, setting ants on fire or not setting ants on fire?"

"I don't really see how that would be pleasurable..."
"Tell me about it." Will shudders.

Ooh, military time.

Most of the horses are normal but some of them look vaguely familiar... Like characters from a cartoon. You can't quite remember what though.
1. Why did you change it?
2. You wouldn't.

Also, I'm starting to wonder if some of the more...flexible powers are a mite OP.

but I've gotta agree, leather boats probably ain't the best to go on long sea voyages in.
cold apparently helps keep it intact. That and large quantities of tar.
Regardless, I'd still imagine they'd be brittle, if nothing else. And probably also limited in size.

Our population is rising, so hunting isn't going to be sustainable for very long.
And when did that stop any society? Before the game ran out, I mean.

i would prefer something stronger/less vague.
In accordance with the flavor of those themes we could do maybe a kidnapped princess type thing? Where the main character is the princess.

Hrmm, we could also do something with strong metaphysical/philosophical themes, something intellectually stimulating.
+1, this sounds better than mine.
This seems to be the only thing multiple people agree on. So, we'll be mostly doing this.
Other suggestions...
In. Escape from the Labyrinth?
So, the main character is a princess captured by a dragon and put into a labyrinth? Anyone else want to weigh in before we start?

((By the way, Steve likely wont know what happened and Simus will only have suspicions...
((You're assuming that Simus's suit doesn't have a camera and that Steve has no other way of surveying the scene. And as for the "Don't electrocute me" gesture? Don't be absurd. How would the tank have exploded, then? And try finding a position where you can aim the gun anything like accurately without showing what you're doing to the suitcam.))

  • Simus has Cameyes - she can see in the IR spectrum normally. Guess what spectrum the lasers are in?
((Um, why would the laser radiate radiation any direction other than the one it was pointed in? This ain't Star Wars. And those never really act like lasers anyways...))

Quote
  • Even if it came to your word against mine, which it most probably won't, my word holds greater weight as a result of my position. Even if you don't think my position is legitimate, Steve and everyone else pretty clearly do.))
((Especially given that Auron would have an excellent reason to lie if he shot Simus, but Simus would have basically none if he didn't.))

1. My laser is mounted on the underside of my arm, i have to point it at you in order to make a plaintative gesture. Ergo both actions appear identical.
((...How the hell do you aim that thing?!?))

Quote
2. Simus can see in the IR spectrum, she was not however scanning for thermal signatures and therefore would not have been able to see the pulse.
((It's an active ability? Sounds more like it would be passive.))

Quote
3. There is no gaurantee steve could see us when we are in the middle of the scrapyard surrounded by junk and recovered ships and Auron is collapsed on the floor, plus if steve didnt see the laser pulse hes not gonna be able to say what exactly just happened.
((It's not hard to extrapolate. Especially since Steve has access, direct or no, to every sensory device on Hephaestus.))

Quote
5. Im gonna win because im more important is not an argument, if that worked i could just walk up to smurfington and take his tokens saying he lost a bet to me and everyone would be forced to agree with me because im a veteran and hes only a newbie. That shit will never fly.))
((Well, again, we are forced to go to the "Who has more reason to lie?" thing. And the "You're not actually an officer, you jerk" thing. And the "Steve is watching your stupid behind" thing.))

((Those concepts and the concept of "funny" mesh together oddly.))
((Well, except for Arbiters of Peace, all of what I mentioned are or at least once were human. It'd be strange if there was absolutely nothing funny, amusing or cute they've ever done, if only for good publicity.))
((The funniest things I can think of that they would do are things like "Get hit in groin with football and then obliterate the football-thrower".))

( ) "Soooo..." Erin says as she sidles up by Milno, "Did I hear you say something about Shark Mist?"
((It has little to do with actual sharks. IIRC, it was named that because it was identified as "sharks" by someone who basically only knew that sharks were gray.))

((Its okay, everyone can completely ignore me, its fine.  :'( At least I have my weird-ass booze.))
((Maybe you should try talking to people? Or at least going where they are?))

((Sorry for not answering all your questions but I don't think people who are emotionally in a bad place would suddenly start rambling and providing exposition like nothing is going on. That's why the answers are coming a bit slower.))
((Don't worry about it, different people handle stress different ways. Irine's stress-handling mechanisms are based off my own, which are a lil nonstandard sometimes. for example, pain, sorrow, and anger can all be changed into one another. When carefully balanced, they can keep each other in check even when I'd normally be overwhelmed. When unbalanced from such a state...))
((One word comes into my mind, and that is tsundere.
It doesn't quite fit, but it's amusing enough that I wanted to share.))

Alright, as an outside opinion (In relative terms.), I would hazard that setting it up on it's own forum (Not a sub-board, it's own actual forum) would be, by far, the best option. There's be plenty of room to grow and such, far more organised since all the chatter would be put into a sub-board of that forum.

Any archival problems can be worked around by locking the threads here after some notice, and them linking to them from the new site. The only major problem is the fact that being it's own site means that he has to pay for the server, which might be a bit of a dent in the idea.
And having a whole forum for what, half a dozen threads? Kinda absurd.

6837
((Intentional.))

Yes, drop.
Realize only upon landing that unarmedness was a bad idea.
Look around, determine how hurt people are.

Now...how do needles work....
((Thank [insert appropriate HMRC deity] you had that dynamic bonus.))

Instead, look for funny videos on the Internet featuring or about Arbiters of Peace.
Then do the same for Shadow Walkers and Urban Executors.
Then do the same for Amp Specialists.

((Those concepts and the concept of "funny" mesh together oddly.))

Try to move the flaming rack without destroying anything important.

"Isn't Artemis a... girl's name?
((We're ripping off Artemis Fowl now?))

"Normally, yes. However, I do believe it had several connotations attached to it. First, Artemis, on our world, was the Greek goddess of Hunting, the Moon, and... well... virginity, although that last one can be omitted. That's kinda why he's named Artemis. The other reason is that he had a rival Guardian named Apollo Devicus."
((Not too much, good.))

<Angel moping about stuff and people trying to comfort her.>
The shadow man appears in his rock in front of the waterfall and addresses Angel.
"You are right to feel this way. Your actions led to the deaths of many innocents. The damage your combined efforts caused on that world of mine will take centuries to repair."
"What? Why are you doing that? That's mean! Can't you see she is sad about that?"
"As she should be. The words of comfort the others are offering her are lies, lies that aren't helping her. I am helping her. I am giving her the honesty she needs. Every child needs to learn that their actions have consequences, one as powerful as her doubly so."
"I still think you're just being mean."
Predictably, this makes Angel cry worse.

Zechariah sighs and puts a hand on Angel's shoulder, talking softly. "As much as we really want to, we can't change the past. We have to keep moving forward. It's okay to cry, but eventually we have to get up and keep going, for the sake of those around us. You can do amazing things with your powers, better than any of us. No one can blame you for using your power with good intentions."
This helps her a little.

((And I'm willing to do the Amethyst mission.))
