Just cause, Meme becomes human! And Hain size! Her eyes are still huge though... And shes the size of a toddler of her race.
That's puny. Half an inch, maybe?

"Dis weird! ...And cold..." Meme shivers a bit.
What happened to Meme's ability to change temperature?

Annie shakes her head.
"Nothing we didn't already surmise. Anima was surprised by a manticore, Sobek appeared to save her, then Ra incapacitated Sobek and sent him away, presumably somewhere he couldn't bother him. There, the recording gets fuzzy, but I'd say that Ra threatens Anima into taking her bracelet off, knocks her out and kidnaps her."
"Not much more than an unsubstantiated guess, but I'm leaning more towards trickery on Ra's end than threats. She removed her bracelet willingly, I didn't see any evidence of coercion...possible, but I'm leaning away from it."

"It seems to me that Ra was paranoid, attempted to take out all threats to the pantheon within it. Including Isis."
"Brilliant deduction!"

Well, a huge load of magical energy, and a clear magical battle happened here.

What's curious is that a Norse rune is dug into the ground.
"Well this is disappointingly clear."

>Ciro. That's it. The rest of us are about as useful as piss.

We're going to have to talk 'im down.<
<Which reminds me.>
"Hey, gods, could you give me a general overview of Ra's headspace?"

Well...it seems to be a rune used for a powerful illusion of some sort. Definitely Loki.
"Supporting the obvious conclusion. Dammit, I should have brought a book."

<Guys I found Loki!> Sen is distressed and trying to heal Loki.
"<Found Loki? Remarkably boring twist.>"

<What about this place...thing..Tartaros? I heared legends that Chronos, who ws supposedly head and shoulders above mots gods was imprisoned there. I say we grab Ra and give Chronos a room-mate. Don't ask me how, it just seems like an idea. Maybe we should contact Zeus about it?>
<Yes, because cracking open an ancient prison containing a more ancient and horribly powerful monster to stick another powerful being in with him is bound to not fail or backfire. I'd say making a new prison would be better, maybe on the Moon. Or, perhaps, seal Ra like Shys'm Caes was sealed. By the way, where's Yuri?>

Loki blinks, coughing.
"Before you ask, I have no idea where Anima went, and I had NO idea she was Isis."
"..."

"We have to do this before my father looks for me. I don't think I want to fight Ra, not particularly."
"I'd be more worried about Odin."
(In the original myths, Loki was Odin's blood-brother (ie, they shared blood), not adoptive son.)

Quote
>Also, we need to not drag in every pantheon in the world, Hain.<
<Yeah...that could also be a bad thing.>

<Nothing wrong in seeking help when a task is beyond you. Whatever is Ra's reasoning, what makes you think his reasoning is so faulty and his conviction in it so shaky that you can just "talk him out of it"? I am sure he considered this long and hard before taking action, and likely has at least one more backup plan, if not more. Talk him out of it? He's already passed that point.>
<You're not the past the point of being talked out of doing something until it's been done.>

Selina turns into Ghost in her sleep, who promptly gets up.

<Am I needed at all?>

<If you're not doing anything else, could you pull out the server pieces? I can tell you where the blueprints are.>

<Getting gods equal or more powerful than Ra involved creates *pressure*, which is what you need when you want a diplomatic solution. As I said, Ra will have backup plans, and as long as he thinks he can win, he has no reason not so simply blast us to kingdoms come, rather than listen to us. And we need him to listen, before we can even attempt to break his conviction.>
<Two things. One: Getting the other gods involved won't cause so much pressure as chaos. This world's first World War is an excellent analogy, although given the power of the gods it would be more like if they all already had nuclear ICBMs. Two: I can get darn near anyone to agree with me, if I understand him or her well enough, if I have enough time, and if I don't get killed or otherwise interrupted halfway through.>

<If Anima knew Ras true name, that would explain why he wanted her gone. In that case, I doubt we will recover her alife.>
<If she knew his true name, how would he kill her?>

<Have you thought of just putting him in hand cuffs that have a rubiks cube to open them? Then it'll be to hard for him to get out and we can get him to stop being a massive cock.>
<Anyone can solve a Rubik's cube with enough time.>

<I can't imagine that he would start putting things into motions like this and then suddenly sit around not knowing what to do. He had enough time to plan beforehand, and is likely not sitting around idly waiting for us to take initiative.>
<He's been repeatedly described as having gone insane, and you expect his actions to make sense to a sane guy?>

>He could be trying to figure out how to...get Anima's true name. If he hated her as Isis so much....he could easily want her to die by irony.<
<What, exactly, do true names let you do? And what do they relate to?>
((And once someone explains true names to Will, how hard would it be for him to determine the true name of someone? Say...himself, Kyle, Luna, Jac...))

<Hey Conny, could you come step on the circle in Yuri's room for me?>
<No offense, Kyle, but that sounds awfully suspicious.>

"No no, that won't do~ Tell me where Ra is or I'll make the spell a lot stronger~ Sen is bluffing.
"Such a people-pleaser."

Sen ponder's what to do with Hathor, "Any suggestions for what to do with Hathor now?" Sen directs this more towards Richard, "Actually. Let's hold her hostage. Ra has Isis, so we have Hathor." Sen thinks on this for a while.
"I've heard worse ideas. Like threatening her. I've also heard better ideas...the question is, how many of those are available, hm Hathor?"

She nods, scared of Sen.
"P-please...don't let her take me hostage. I beg you. I can find you a better bargain than myself, please please no..."
"Please elaborate!"

Richard does so. His Apep persona looks nothing like the one she's used to; a giant six headed snake, metallic skin, glowing yellow eyes, a black and green colour scheme. It's close enough that Hathor screams.
"Gods good and bad, you guys suck at diplomacy."

Sen begins to laugh very hard. "Impressive impersonation Richard." Sen even falls on her back laughing.
"...and other things."

Wave virtual hand in front of Mr. Anton and Mr. Bishop's virtual faces.
"Hello?"

If they don't respond or tell me what they're doing or something, start up another window with the Mission Replay thing. Mission 1, pretty much like it was except that I'm there.

I'm usually Dashing when relocating troopers, or seeking cover after discovering aliens with a forward scout. I guess the latter part counts as "running away". :P
I count the first as a subset of "nothing else to do".

"Can't blame her. It's curious."

((The War Chief isn't in the Barbarians spoiler. On that note...The Frankish Empire?))

Wake up! Or respawn, whatever.
The reinforcements don't show up in the Barbarian Spoiler until the following turn after they arrive. The Franks do not have a true empire of course, but from their perspective the conquest of Rome is full-blown Imperial supremacy.  Carl isn't dead, just unconscious and bleeding badly.
1. Ah.
2. Good.
3. I know, I'm just saying...if I don't wake up, I'd rather get the whole slowly-dying thing over with and respawn so I can actually act.

"However, as all know, even the gods cannot return one to life..."
Will looks confused for a couple seconds.

"I just betrayed Ra by telling you that his security merely requires a good, skilled person in solving riddles; his hoard is protected by a Sphinx, and you will need his hoard for the totem to find him and Isis. So are you convinced? I would rather flee with my immortality and survive his fury."
"Either you're lying or Ra's a bit of an idiot. What else is protecting the hoard?"

7585
-snip-
"Go on."
Will was silently plotting ways to irritate Ra.

It doesn't matter what his intentions are--the road to Hell is paved with good ones, and if none of the rest of us can stop you you're going to be driving right there.

In what way is the game absurd? Maybe I can.help with it.
Well, let's see.
A secret task force is set up with the intended purpose of ending basically all crime, but no plan or guidelines.
One of the members managed to wipe out crime with a two-year murder spree, without ending up in jail.
Said member also managed to convince dozens of people to work long, dangerous hours with no promise of even a penny of salary.
And it's just starting.

"Try me, knower-human. I fear the sun-god more than you."
Thoth is still nervous.
[90+40]
Will presumably shakes him up at least a little. without revealing too serious of a secret. Secret enough he shouldn't know, not secret enough to piss him off.
"Scared yet?"

"My daughter? Hathor is Ra's, not mine. And, of course, Isis, that fool, she brought in her friends to solve an issue she alone started... How quaint."
"Firstly, I highly doubt that the issue can be significantly attributed to Isis. Secondly, we came of our own accord."

Thoth then proceeds to sit up.
"Isis....Anima, am I correct in assuming this is her name now? Anyway, she was once much worse than one would think. I will level with you now...even I fear the sun-god, earth-children. I don't wish to fight....but before you run off to fight for her....hear me out. I will give you what I know, before the knower-human reveals my secrets.

If it does not dissuade you, then at least it will be good for you to know. This is what I know, and not what Ra has said."
"And how can we trust you, Thoth?"
"I swear upon the Nile."
"Tell your piece."

((It bugs me a bit that everything's circular. Let's change that!))

Mountains sprouted up across the land, and rivers began to flow.

Shape Land (Mountains): -3 Power
Shape Land (River): -3 Power

Oh, so it would be more like the gender-flipped version of those blowup dolls.

By the way, Elf, what are your thoughts on the proper mechanics and balancing of Will's power?
