taking out an health potion, opening it, and then drinking the whole thing, while heavily wounded and under constant enemy attack is easier than swinging a sword?
Only if you want to hit someone with the sword.

but mainly, it's a balance issue. A single action, without a roll involved, to instantly refill your entire health? On a dude with almost 800 health? Whose powers work by using his health? Frankly, if this action can not be contested, it instantly turns the entire fight around. The dude can happily summon *plenti* more demons, while his massive endurance and high dex (even higher because some of the demons can buff him even further) ensure that we can just slowly plink away at his health. frankly if he was not mass summoning stuff to bring himself low, we would not have gotten him as low as he is now at all
Wait, why is he summoning demons?

The perk is called Destabilized Mana, which gives a 25% reduced mana cost for actions using mana, a 25% mana regen rate, and each time your mana is used, you take 1d6 damage dependent on the roll.
1 takes 10% damage of mana spent
2 takes 20%
3 takes 30%
4 takes 40%
5 takes no damage
6 takes no damage
...
Can I give it back? That thing is literally worse than useless. Mana regens so fast normally that it's meaningless (assuming anyone bothers to track it), and aside from reducing the regen to a quarter of the rate, I end up taking damage every time I use magic?
What. The. Hell.

Will has been training swordplay with Kyo. So will is also good with swords now. go figure.
...Huh. Um. Kyo continued training swordplay in the middle of battle?

Holy crap. Why was the week I was muted the one week everything explodes?

What the heck did I miss, and what do I need to do?

798
I submitted an action, didn't I? Or did that only go to my teammates?

799
((Host body only declared unrecoverable now?))

Try to figure out what show is on. If it's good, watch. If not, switch to another channel.

Something tells me I'm not needed anymore.

The jets are gone and the seraphim bomb detonated, teleporting everyone everwhere and giving people a perk
Everyone is now storming the Vatican, fighting people like Osmodias and Luthar. There is a magic key which opens the vault where I think Mana Incarnate, a girl, is, and everyone is trying to get the key.
Neat. Where is Nuriel and what perk did she get? And who's Osmodias?

So which do you want to fight GWG? Osmodias, the corrupter of souls or Luthar, summoner of demons?
Depends. Where's Will been? Wasn't he with the army?

and the moment he pulls it, there will be 8+attacks on him to prevent him from doing so. for the sake fo fairness, the drinking should be interruptable and finish at the end of the turn.
"To be fair, his action--easily the simplest of anyone in the battle--should take far longer than anyone else's!"
Sure, you can interrupt it if you're fast enough. Try readying an action.

Also, remember that Aria's were 'meant for demons'. atleast, the ones The order knows. Osmodias were meant for everything.
Okay, what are osmodias?

I recognize most of those posters. TWoOtA, obviously, but also a few from your previous games. And whatever that red-bordered one is.

Anyways.

Search the cash register, bookshelves, discarded Chinese food containers, and even the pile of pillows for anything of use or value.

Waitlist. Endurance.

Guys, we also need to make up a life story, so the nice PC doesn't get suspicious.
Shadow's NPC's don't look like the backstory type.
Precisely.

"I come from an honorable family of exposition goblins. I'm a bit of a failure in their eyes though because I need to learn things conventionally instead of instantly knowing the answer to any question asked as soon as I'm asked it."
Add more feels.
How about mentioning that we were exiled for lacking the Gift, and had to turn to thievery for a bit, but now that we've found these adventurers we have a chance to regain our honor?

806
Or not. What we're doing at the moment is pretty fun.

Although sooner or later, these helpful NPCs are going to be going berserk. I can only hold off the madness for so long...

807
We should probably put the DL3 Boss Key in storage.
We haven't?

"I'm the watcher of the watch"
This one seems straighforward enough. If we piece togheter our knowledge, it makes sense that the Angels are the watch, so Betweenford is probably the current leader of the Angels.
"I'm the keeper of the keep"
What would "the keep" refer to? It could be the Warrens, or something in the Warrens themselves. Even so, this does not neccesarily mean he is the lord of the Warrens (see: Minas Tirith in LOTR), just that he is keeping an eye on them for somebody else. Newford, maybe?
"I'm the cheat to cheat all cheaters and the eye that sees them sleep"
This one's tricky. It implies that the cheaters are currently sleeping. I think the cheaters here would be the demons that Oric deceived, and that are now sleeping. Slumbering may be a more fitting word. A sleeping dragon, effectively. If this is the case, then it also implies that Betweenford helped bring down/chain the demons.
The first seems reasonable enough. Therefore, there's a decent chance that it's flat wrong.
Seems likelier that he's "keeping" it for the Last Seraphim or something in that vein.
Why is it always slumbering dragons? Anyways, that's...interesting. Maybe the 'Fords are traitors, and keeping the keep for Oric? Of course, that implies that the Seraphim was a cheater, which...doesn't work. The king doesn't need to cheat.

Once upon a time, the Devil herself looked around and said: "Sheeeeeeeeit, if we keep eatin everything, there won't be nothin left! Yo, Devil Jr., find someone smarter 'fore we run out." That someone is the Thief. You may know him as Oric the Awful.
TCM, stop hacking EmeraldWind's account and/or subconscious.

Second, Wilford mentioned the Harian Royal Prison a place we people with extraordinary powers were imprisoned. Al's reaction to this is that this is a wrongful imprisonment and that the normal people of Haria might not take such news well. He considered it enough to help a rebellion. This proposes two questions: Why was the King of Haria imprisoning people with powers? Why was there a possibility of a rebellion?
...
Wilford worked at the SCP Foundation?

Anyways, I'm pretty sure that if he wanted to cause a change, he would have said "abberation" or something like that. It sounds like he's trying to get something--or someone--which is aberrant. Perhaps something in the Strange Creatures' Prison?

Yeah, but going to bed with work you want to do is the number one cause of insomnia...
For me, working on things and not noticing that it's almost midnight is the number one cause of insomnia. (For a suitably broad definition of "insomnia," at least.)

808
It has to be the numpad numbers? No wonder none of those ever worked for me!

809
Ugh. He needs to stop doing that.
Sorry.

One part of the problem is that, while some arguments cause me to be muted, most don't. This isn't a problem or anything, but the boundary between the two is kinda vague.
(Also annoying is that I've only ever been muted for arguments that I've already put behind me, but that's not something anything can really be done about unless we turn Toady into a cyborg or something.)

Hi y'all! I'm back!
...Why are you all running?

Alright, serious now. I've got a video of some KSP failures on YouTube and I am working on another video, one of more intentional failures. I introduced my brother to RWBY; he seems to like it alright. We got into an argument over if the Ember Celia or Stormflower would be less impractical in the real world. (A neutral expert declared them both very impractical.) And some other stuff has been happening, but you'll care even less about those.

Anyways. What's been going on in RotMG?
