My point is that Kyle's stupidity isn't an isolated incident here and there. Poor judgement is one of the core elements of his character.

And whenever it isn't screwing everything up, it's kinda endearing. More so than arrogance.

[To:Will]<How's the party going?>
<I'm handcuffed to a girl who threatened to kill me and my unborn children, no one interesting is talking to me, and I've got a headache. Sadly, this isn't the worst party I've been to.>
<Definitely the worst party I've willingly gone to, though.>

Kyle goes over to Will.
"Want me to try cutting the chain? It's the same material as my sword so it should work with enough force."
"Hm? Worth a shot, I guess. By the way, five bucks says Cyrielle reconnects us once she notices."
Will moves his chained arm over onto a table, so Kyle won't accidentally yank his or Luna's arm down instead of breaking the chain. Although he might break the table, I guess.

A term for someone who picks at part things and makes a big deal out of everything.
Ah.
Well, can you honestly say that Kyle usually makes good decisions?
And I'm trying to avoid bringing up the really stupid decisions he makes in somewhat stressful situations, like when he stuck one girl in his mouth for no reason. Actually, I'm not sure where the stress there came from. Seriously, kj, that was frikkin' stupid.

Well, 'hello' is usually a good method. Also, 'get this fucking crazy masochist of my arm' is a good icebreaker.
I'm sure that icebreaker will be very useful in real life...
Also, Will's determined that Cyrielle won't let them have more than a couple minutes untethered.

8074
"Too nice to be Hitler. What a compliment."
Will is contemplating explaining or hinting at the parallels between Corebus's dragonslaying and the Holocaust, but it has the inherent problem of being way over-the-top.

Kyle thinks that Selina wouldn't immediately assume that Kyle is writing weird stuff.
Dude. Selina had read some of Ky'e's weird stuff.

Still.
Alright, I'll disregard that one, even though expecting even the most complex problems to be solved the first time you try it is a pretty clear sign of megalomania, which goes far beyond typical levels of stupidity into "backstab Russia with winter coming" levels.
Indeed.
And why not? This is Selina. They met months ago, not hours.
Forgot that detail.

Still. That's a good number of examples of stupid behavior.

"Like, Kyle is probably nicer than me."
...
Dude. Self plug via secondary character? Not cool.

P.S. WHERE THE HELL IS ANYONE WHO CAN/WILL INTERACT WITH WILL?!?
GWG, I love you like a brother.
I think your a pretty cool guy.
Your pretty fucking smart.
But goddamn can you be a sperg sometimes.
Your lovable son of a bitch.
...What is a sperg?

And why didn't you guys do anything when I clearly said that Will was looking for someone to talk to? Because aside from jumping into the middle of a conversation with some witty one-liner or something, I'm not entirely certain how to get some kind of conversation started.

8076
<What ever Hitler.>
Corebus may note there is no sarcasm as he says that. He literally thinks Hitler is talking to him.
Who the fucks Hitler? Oh wait, shit, I know this one! Its the one guy who everyone hates, right!?
<Just a little, yeah.>

...Wouldn't, you know, magical things make more sense for that?

(( Files always include marital status. My friend works in mcdonalds and his includes that he's married. ))
((Oh. That's it? That's not much to go on.))

"It's not the only copy did you not listen? The doctor will have a copy as well."
"You never said you were giving the doctor a copy of the payroll information. Regardless, I'd like to request that you transfer all secure files to a computer you don't take out of the workplace every night."

Quote
"Arguing is not going to make me more likely to share it with you, if you want me to share it then prove I can trust you with the information. This all works on trust, you want me to trust you with information but your offering me no reason to trust you while threatening me and using violence."
"I do what I must to make people listen. And why don't you trust me to keep a secret? I'm as much a part of this project as you, and even if you knew nothing else about me would would know that the governor trusted me enough to put me in this position. You should know this, at least. And threats? When have I threatened you?
"Finally, I'd like to note that you are refusing to cooperate with me in any way. You won't even answer any question you don't feel like answering. Shall I report to the governor that this team is a failure? Because If this is what every single day will be like--a struggle for every inch of common sense."

" I will be managing payment to my men, all information will be on my laptop which stays with me and will be secured so if anybody tries to access it it will erase itself. Limiting the information spread is just the first of many steps I intend to take not only for my mens protection but for yours as well."
"No undue offense intended, but it's fucking stupid to put confidential information on your personal laptop that could be lost or stolen, and it's fucking stupid to put your only copy of important data on your personal laptop that could be lost or broken."

Quote
""If we fail, which we will not that does not mean every man or women with us should die. Would you rather die knowing you condemned good men and women to die with you? Or that good men and women who risked everything to fight with us will go back to there families? I know if I'm to die I would rather die protecting those important to me and that includes you."
"This goes to the hypothetical scenario where you never letting us learn the names of any of the people under us somehow lets them survive. But if it really bothers you that much, you can leave names off the personnel files. There, now that's a compromise--you get the confidentiality you want, we get the oversight we want."

Quote
"How we get captured is simple, for instance 2 of our number are combat personnel, they will be in direct contact with our enemies which offers countless chances for them to be taken. One of our number is walking the streets right now with no protection at all and will continue doing so to do his job. It is impossible to guarantee none of us will be captured something which you know.
You could be captured yourself going to the hardware store for supplies, I could be captured going to a meeting outside of here.
"
"Not even halfway there yet. But, if they do capture a Director, how would they extract all this information from us? And you know what the first bits of information they would want would be? The identities of the other Directors, yourself included, and of our base.
"And for your information, my skills may have rusted, but anyone trying to interrogate me gets what they deserve. And once we have employees, why would I be going out to get supplies? Not just paranoia--it saves time for building things."

Quote
(( How is it a bad compromise? You want oversight but you want all 6 people to have all the information. I'm willing to accept oversight but only 1 of you having it all. The only difference between mine and yours is mine has a 66% lower risk factor for the information getting out. ))
((Simply put, there is no point to it. No method of interrogation known to man has managed to get someone to cough up something so briefly-seen and unimportant as the name of a potential recruit seen however long ago. Moreover, they woudn't care about that stuff.
Better compromises actually accomplish something, like the one above. No names are released, protecting confidentiality for the paranoid, but everyone has a voice.))

((to an extent, what he says makes sense.  He is giving full access to the information to the one person who will rarely, if ever, leave the base.))
((Well, aside from the tech guy.))

(( It's not as if I'm taking away something your going to need, I'll get you any people you need and your free to see the peoples information if you have doubts. With the exception of names and family information.

If you have valid reasons and the doc agrees with you then I'll share happily the only information I will not give is name and family info which you don't need anyway. I'm just not giving it out simply because you want it. ))
((1. I came up with this compromise parallel to Patrick.
2. Why the hell would family information be in the files anyway?!?))

Alright, what is the very strong fan supposed to do?

8082
I would have went and solved it, but I didn't think it was important.

And blurting out the answer to a riddle when the grown-up in the room is raging over the fact that it's just a riddle seems kind of...odd. Certainly out of character.

8083
Will is still looking for someone to talk to.
"...Earth t' Luna, you in there?"

There's a reason they made you Commander after that first mission: So he wouldn't be in charge of anything important.

Like when?
Random page...no Kyle.
Random page...basically no Kyle. Just one sentence of dialogue.
Random page...where the heck are all the Kyle action posts?
Random page...well, not ideal, but these are pretty clear examples of stupidity.
[4+9] Kyle utterly fails to make a coherent blueprint that is useful for anything except a toaster.
How the hell do you make designs for a toaster when trying to design powered armor?
"That isn't Spartan armor at all!"
Expecting to have perfection on Day 1? Stupid.
Random page...mere traces of Kyle.
Random page...
"My mixing up reports is the reason people want to kill me fifty percent of the time."
Random page...AshleyxRichard drama, no Kyle. Forgot that Ashley's text used to be blue-glowing.
Random pages...random quotes from Kyle. Some are pretty dumb things to say, but nothing really showing his stupidity. Unfair.
Random page...only a couple statements by Kyle, but there's this gem.
((She deffinently isn't goo.))
"What?"
And no offense Cado, but Selina's usually pretty easy to read. If she starts to look really nervous, blushes, or faints after you say something, that statement probably caused it. And mentioning his fanfiction was said statement. Take a second to remember that Selina had recently read some of Kyle's work. Why so hard to put 2+2 together?
Random page...no Kyle.
Kyle runs in with his laser pistol. He switches it to Level:  Die.
(Emphasis not mine.)
I can't even figure out what this was responding to. However, there are few situations that immediately escalating to lethal force is kinda dumb.
Is this enough? I'd prefer not to flick through random pages trying to find Kyle actions all night.
