Roll To Dodge / Re: A Storm's Coming Turn 22) And we're down to four

"Hello, little girl! Did you want something?"
"Sure. Um, why are you here? And what're you going to do? And who are you and the other people?"

>[The AM] doesn't like people seeing her as anything but the cavalier, apathetic person she normally is. Sitting around exhausted and haggard looking isn't something she wants to do.
(("Haggard" here means "without makeup," right? :P))

"Darzensis? Or anyone else?"

Look for people/smart lizards. Or anything showing me what's going on, that would be nice.

((Can we make more tokens somehow?))
((Do you mean as in earn, or as in counterfeit?
Yes and with effort, respectively.))

((Wait, how does this work?
Are you one of those people who read Worm after I brought it up in passing? Because I'm thinking of Watch.))

Just gonna check but you know the kinetic amps aren't the "put in your brain" amps right?
((Why did you name them the same thing, anyways?))

((Either the AM is usually wearing makeup and a wig, and this interferes with her sleeping, or...the AM is almost as odd as the Doc.))

"Maybe 'Saint' as that's my last name."
((How familiar is Steve-the-computer with obscure early 21st-century literature?))

((We're trying to consider uses past just "Battle Time!"
As Sean noted, the couriers are probably going to be better for atmospheric works than the shuttles. Great for logistics, good as a Skyranger.))

Quote from:  Auron to all HMRC/ARM perssonell
To all technically minded personell,

I am currently building a "Giant Robot"tm over by the ruined command centre and i would like to kindly ask for your assistance, any contributions to its construction would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely, Auron.
Grate looks at the message, then ignores it. It's stupid, but the people in charge can take care of it.

Bipedal mechs really make more sense than you'd think, especially once you get past the clunky servomotors. With a proper powersource, a mech has as much agility and speed as a proportional human, and just like a human it can wield variable weaponry and adapt to circumstances better than a box on wheels can. It doesn't win over a tank in plowing forward and shooting everything in its path of course, but you can say the same of a human-sized drone, with the same difference in tactical flexibility.
((The problem is, bipeds above a certain size are inherently unstable, because...damn it, I can't remember all the stuff, but it's basically torque making them fall over if they lean much off their center of balance. It isn't a huge issue for human-sized humanoids like humans, because "much" is plenty for their everyday activities, but for giant robots...giving them at least four legs would be better. Minimal, if any, loss of agility, but big gains in stability if you don't try to gallop.))

"Big Cloth", then bandage yourself?

Or maybe make a nail out of something, inscribe that word into it, and turn your body into that material?

Coat my foot in that kinetic absorption gel that Billy Mays once advertised and kick one of the crabs off while whacking another one with a plunger!
((Ignoring the nonexistence of such a substance...Wouldn't kinetic absorption cause your kick's kinetic energy to be absorbed, meaning it wouldn't do as much?))

"Okay, Charlie! How have you been? And what have you been up to? And who are you, by the way?"

Who?
A character in Girl Genius.
Spoiler: Minor Spoilers Spoiled (click to show/hide)
There were some other things that made me think of Othar, but I can't put my finger on them.

"Okay, what the hell."

Pinch self. If this fails, throw the ring at the lioness.
(Watch me get a crit.)
[5] You pinch yourself. Really really hard. You are now bleeding, congratulations! Nothing else has changed.
...
If this fails, throw the ring at the lioness.
Since the "Pinch Self" should have been pretty obvious as a non-serious action, I don't see why the rest of my action was ignored. Especially since 5's are supposed to be good things, not bad!
In other words, you're making a joke I made not only make me miss a turn, but also wound me! And I wasted a 5!

"Victory for you is but a fairy tale, like santa or the Queen of England."
"...Idiot."

Throw the God-damned ring at the lioness like I should have done last turn! Then find something else to throw.
Jsut the second half if my rant convinces the GM to let me retroactively have thrown the ring at the lioness or something.

((Ding dong, the queen is dead!))

Ironclaw smirked, or rather opened her mouth slightly, which raptors do instead of smirking. "We have defeated your queen. Run, Big Ones, run."

Intimidate. Charge at, leap at, and attack Sister's body (Lead/Fury attack. -5 Vigor.)

What are you using to draw them in 3D?

Make breakfast, brunch, dinner, or whatever time food is suitable. Then, turn on the radio and begin my day of gloom without my fox friend.
You make some breakfast with your grandmother.
On the radio, you hear some governmental ad offering jobs to anyone with magical powers, and offering to pay people for information on such people.

"Oh, no, my target--one of the few young women to walk through this part of town alone--is capable of walking away! I guess I should find someone else."
Touche my good sir.

Try to do that EVERYTHING IS ON FIRE thing I did yesterday in a desperate attempt to GET AWAY.
You transform. People start freaking out. Somehow, your pursuer doesn't seem interested anymore.

((What, do you think I'm going to write a whole newspaper article?
1. That's a lot of work, and I don't have much free time.
2. I'm unfamiliar with Japanese journalism.
3. People would complain about how long the turn was taking.
((It's more the fact that the newspaper article amounted to 'there might be a cult running around and they might have magic, and they might be using it to become superhuman, no proof or actual info, though, sorry!' Typical news outlet, really.))
((It's not their fault. They're trying to piece together a story from rumors. After all, if they don't find as many stories on magical stuff as they can, they'll probably lose sales to those that do.))

Examine that agent they've got posted on me. Somebody I recognize?
Nope. But then again, you've met, what, three government agents? Four if you count Chihu?
