Kyle nods and makes it look like he left. He did to for about ten minutes while navigating to an area he would be seen with a ladder and then climbing up and trying a window.
[d20: 2]
He encounters Angel's mother, undressing for a shower. He suffers a slap that hits him hard enough that he falls off the ladder.
Be glad she wasn't already undressed.

Yes, Hans, this campaign my goal is to prove that you can be Batman in D&D without being a wizard.  :P
Anyone who is D&D Batman with magic is disgracing what Batman is: One of the most powerful superheroes in the world, but one without magic superpowers. (Some of which actually are magic--Wonder Woman and earlier incarnations of the Green Lantern, for instance.)

Angel is at home, grounded. Angel's mother will not let Kyle in to see Angel, because:

1. Angel is grounded.
2. Kyle is easily recognized as one of those magic people that Angel's mother despises.
3. Kyle is a bit creepy, especially when he is a teenager asking to see a little girl.

Time to implement Plan: Ignore the Rules and Doors.

Maybe I should catch up on the IC thread.

((It's fine. I also have a feeling GWG is going to say something about the OOC when he gets around to responding.))
((Grr gar OOC in IC I've given up on that for now.))

Will and Angel continue to exist.

Unusual, but nothing really clashes with previous lore so it works.

Although there aren't so much different types of demons as different specializations. Succubi are good at seducing men, but that doesn't mean they can't do deals with the devil or join demonic armies.

Oh, and all demons have shapeshifting. It obeys conservation of mass, isn't very fast, and is even slower and more limited for those fused with humans (like Nuriel and Sen), but it helps if Sen wants to hide her identity or change her nose shape as a party trick or something.

And humans? Humans are Medium sized. This will be very relevant later. :P
Pleasedon'tbegrapplingPleasedon'tbegrapplingPleasedon'tbegrappling...

I hadn't actually thought of that. Thanks! :D I was more thinking of economic concerns...
Like what? Food consumed and other costs of living?

Oh, and... Looking at RAW, it looks like sneak attack and critical hit damage is always of the same damage type as the weapon that proc'd it, no? So hitting someone with a successful sneak attack with a thrown flask of contact/inhaled poison or an alchemical item with a numeric descriptor in the damage/effects would also make the critical hit and sneak attack damage be of the same type, either adding damage or adding duration to the effect, depending on what the item in question does?

That seems fair, given that crit and sneak attack damage with a melee weapon mimics that weapon's damage type (including nonlethal damage), and given that so many of these items have relatively low save DCs, and that crits for thrown poisons and alchemic weapons only occur on natural 20s.
If I were DM, I would figure out some way for crits and sneak attacks on the stuff with saving throws to increase the DC. I can see that (a good throw gets more of the stuff in the body), but massively increasing duration on a sneak attack makes...less sense.
The only questions are what bonus for a crit (+10?) and what for sneak attacks (+2/d6?)

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one not trying to game the system at every opportunity :P
I'm not trying to game the system!
And FD is intentionally taking a weaker option, he's allowed to game the system.

"Why do demons seem to constantly reveal themselves to me first!?"
The only other hidden demon in the game that I can think of was revealed when Selina jokingly guessed Nuriel was one.

@GWG Yes please.  Just posted something so I may need to fix it.
It's okay. Let's see...I can give a more full summary later if you want, but right now I'm still catching up on all my games. I am in a lot.
Demons live in Hell. There isn't any central leadership (no Satan figure), but there are a lot of archdemons, demon lords, and the like--demons that lead because they are rich or powerful. Souls that go to Hell don't become demons, or money, or (usually) food; they simply exist there, often working for the archdemons as slaves but sometimes just being there for being shown off. Each demon lord has some set of qualities in souls that, should they be rejected from heaven (a whole different issue, which has more to do with "would they fit into the cogs of our machine" than "did he do good"), they will come. Demons temporarily exiled to earth often try to "corrupt" mortal souls one way or another so they can collect a fraction of the value of the soul once they return.
On the note of exiled demons...if a demon is on earth and not in Hell, either he is on a mission, or he is in trouble. The latter case is usually exiles, but I suppose it's possible for a demon to screw up so badly he willingly flees to Earth. (Or maybe Sen is the one in a few billion that doesn't like Hell?)
We need to figure out why Sen is on Earth, firstly.

((I'm gonna assume that the first two pages were just RP and therefore unimportant because the story seems to be starting so I need to jump in.))

Drakruldus listens intently, watching the others, shifting his wings which marked him quite firmly in the "no mere kobold" category, in case the silver sheen to his scales was insufficient. This coloration clearly marked him as one of the newcomers, but Drakruldus had withstood this criticism.

Ahahahaaaa! I knew that low Intelligence score was worth something!
Yeah, Intimidate is a Charisma-based skill. In addition, you can only have 3+Level ranks in one skill.

I am anticipating the ULTIMATE WARRIOR attempting to intimidate everything he comes across, and everything being oddly underwhelmed by the eight foot tall, bullheaded, cyborg-Kobold monster of doom than can casually bench press pick-up trucks.
"What's a truck?"

Alright. Having calmed down over errands and dinner, I will provide my thoughts over what's happened before catching up and getting worked up again.

Firstly, a fun fact. When you get into a heated discussion, your adrenal glands activate. Adrenaline shuts down/reduces the amount of function in your higher brain functions so more energy can be spent on dealing with the danger. Higher brain functions are vital to critical thought and arguments not devolving. What is this Intelligent Design you speak of?

And now onto important stuff.
Will might have been a bit too...zealous, but he has a pretty major point.
Cyrielle and the others either didn't plan enough, or needed to share their plans better. I had this image of a magically-powered automaton running magically, with regeneration, distortion bones, and all that. Some of those were features that had been scrapped (but Cyrielle did not mention this), others were simply implied by, say, the lack of fuel or electricity needed and completely wrong. Her insistence on following Luna's desires was also infuriating. Yes, it's nice to have friends, but you're allowed to tell them no, especially when they're asking for less safeguards that would stop her from being able to kill your other friends, including one you were at one point heavily implied to have some kind of crush on. Also, I had little to no idea what was going on with control. I thought that the part of Selina's mind with Luna in it would be transposed to the 'bot, giving Selina a slightly distributed consciousness. (Hence not understanding that Selina would have a "kill switch" or that Luna wouldn't be able to use magic through it.)
Kyle...he overreacted. (And it's a bit odd that Kyle apparently agrees with Will that he's a horrible person, but hates Will for calling him a horrible person. "Damn you for telling the truth!")
Maria...it sicks that she broke down, but I kinda wish she hadn't just said "Stop arguing!" It was kinda dumb, asking Will (who tends towards the debative) to not argue about the circumstances of incarnation for someone who threatened to kill him, thereby potentially putting his life at risk. That's not the kind of thing anyone's likely to shut up about just because they're asked nicely, not until they feel their life is safe.
A lot of people were weirdly absent. It's...odd.

<I'm workignon it blargh you should try joining #bay12lb on DarkMyst>
What's DarkMyst?

Kyle sits at the table disappointed like.
"So to begin todays conversation I vote that Luna comes to stay at my house as I have an extra room and she's unlikely to cause problems out in the wilds. Does any one have a better place for her?"
...
Didn't Kyle say he was never going back to Maria's because Will might be there?

"Well then how am I supposed to cut myself if I can't bleed anywhere?"
Ah, the old "Pound of flesh, but no blood" problem. I like the Klingon solution best.

[to Kyle]<I'd rather stay away from the three amigos who wish me dead after threatening them. Maybe in a few days.>
Will doesn't want her dead, just more restrained.
Also, I'm not sure if him, Richard, and the other guy are really amigos, per se.

Soap operas tend to be more interesting. This is painful to watch.
Hence the comment about the low budget. Obviously the writers of said soap opera are underpaid idiots.
Hey! I'm one of those writers! And while I'm underpaid, I am certainly not an idiot!

Nooo @elf, not yet. I want at least one person to know sen is a demon~
Care for some previously-established lore about demons so you don't contradict something?

Well, people started arguing the same things here that their characters were arguing in character. Which sort of defeated the whole point.
I think it's more explaining things OOC that they couldn't explain IC.
For instance, anything having to do with Darnos. Or that didn't have immediate connections to what was being said.

Sexually transmitted demons... let's not give Kyle reasons to sleep with more people than he has.
I promise that no matter how much he sleeps with Sen, Nuriel, or, um...we don't have any other demons...well, Will's arm is demonic, and Abraxas looks demonic, but I don't think he's into severed body parts or personae. Or that Abraxas counts. Anyways, they will not make him into a demon.

Also, I just remember that he had a threesome with Nuriel a while back. Combine that with his fertility power...

That's why she's bound to the... STOP MAKING ME SAY RAPEY THINGS!
We aren't making you say anything. You're the one with his foot in his mouth.
Foot? He's up to his knee by now...

Also, something important.

Remember when Angel alluded to news and Selina looked it up? You might have missed it, since it was at the top of a megapost overshadowed by the burgogeoning Lunar Body Controversy. Well, here's the summary.
Selina goes and checks a computer for Angel, her plan getting close to starting.
There's a good bit. Three major incidents in the recent past. Grandiose, a battle between Amy Hart and a few IRIS agents which ended up causing billions in property damage including severe damage to the Golden Gate bridge, and a woman called Murder Night using a sort of shadowy companion that seems to eat souls (along with  a small army, but that's usually glossed over except to mention the few magic-users in said army) to take over a good bit of Africa. There are also littler things, relatively petty magical criminals, destructive magicians trying to follow in the footsteps of Dr. Strange or Superman, stuff like that. People worldwide are reacting, in different ways.
Some are fine with just letting it be unrestricted, like any human ability. Others want registration, so we know who all the people with magic are. Some want more extreme measures--banning use of magic, some even wanting to imprison or execute everyone with magic. The US is pretty much the only country to have acted yet, with a general ban on magic, but the law's definition of magic is...clumsy, shall we say. It doesn't really solve the problem...not in the least because those who were already planning to commit crimes with magic don't feel particularly threatened by the new law.
Selina has probably had time to share this and the implications. I think the characters should be worried about, or at least react to, this. And barring, that, I'd like your guys' thoughts.

((Sorry went shopping))
((No prob. Although you missed the "resolution," which was basically Elf getting sick of this and giving Luna a body.))

Quote
<Yes I can come>
Stella goes to meet with WIll
"Good news, we don't need to go to Kyle's. Bad news, he still wants to kill me."
And then it's the next day.

8743
Richard is glomped, but as one of his friends is in, well, a murderous mood, he isn't really in the mood himself.
>Something tells me Kyle's not just talking about now, Will.<
[To: Richard] <Yeah...ever since I saw that room, I've felt pretty damn bad about what I did to Kyle. Bastard hid it well, though...hell, what else would I have done? I...I was about to explain why my life sucking translates into me being a prick, but why am I telling you this? I barely know you! Well, that being said...I regret it, and have no idea how to fix it. Hopefully, Conny isn't going to be moving to Kyle's house, that would make it hard to talk with her.>

"My capabilities in terms of mind control are... limited at best. This form has barely enough energy within it for me to maintain control over it, so I wouldn't be able to control that one's mind, sadly enough."
He sighs too.
"I could gorge myself on food, to supply the energy I need, but... that would take a bit."
"Hm? Oh, yeah, you. Well, that doesn't sound so useful, but thankfully I don't think I'll be needing you."

Timeskip. Whoo?

Conny is feeding her baby as she sits at the table.
Will is quietly eating.
[To: Conny] <At some point, you and me need to talk about Kyle.>

"Um... d-d-did anybody s-s-see the bag... th-that was in the hall...?" Selina tries to sound confused, wanting to remain anonymous.
"That was nice of you, Selina, but I don't think Maria or Arya would want it. Even if you have been ad hoc adopted by the latter...which reminds me. Maria, is your mother interested in stocks? I've been studying the market and have some tips."

"Not too sure, this was only meant to be a stopgap measure, but people got carried away..."
Will mutters something about distortion bones and regeneration.

Ashley nods.
"There's a reason as to why only Conny has seen it though."
"I give, oh...3:17 odds that the tattoo has something to do with Ashley's void abilities. My three, your seventeen. Any takers?"

"It's nowhere below my stomach."
Ashley points to the right side of her right breast.
"It's tiny though. And it just represents how Void gives me my powers... and it also can eat up magic, at the expense of me possibly getting addicted to it, due to being the Voidwalker equivalent of cocaine."
Will sighs.
"Couldn't you have waited until after I won a bet?"

<THAT FUCKING BITCH STOLE MY... What? Oh, I'll get something set up later when I have something covering my magic orbs.>
<You magic...? No, I'm not going to question it.>

Kyle suddenly turns and grabs her making shushing noises.
"Sen, please stop running. I don't want to hurt you."
((Insert metaphor for Will's relationship with Kyle.))
