the confirmed ability to cast any spell in 3.5 D&D?
Wot?
Alright...D&D stands for Dungeons and Dragons. It has gone through a number of editions--Basic Dungeons and Dragons, AD&D, 2nd Edition, 3rd Edition, 3.5,
4th Edition, and most recently D&D Next. 3.5 is the edition I'm most familiar with.
Gold dragons, which I based my character on, are from Dungeons and Dragons. Hence why he has abilities similar to them.
Spells are things spellcasters like wizards, clerics, bards, and druids cast. So do some monsters, including dragons. (Many more monsters--also including dragons--have "spell-like abilities," which work like spells except without the gestures and material components and stuff.)
My character's passive ability of I Am A Dragon includes the vague "uses magic" clause to cover the spells, spell-like abilities, and such dragons have. I was suggesting combining this with the new ability to formalize the general assumption that I would be able to cast any spell from 3.5 (within reason--I have no intention of spamming
wish and
miracle and
power word kill. Or even using them, if no one else is bending the rules in their favor).
If it included third-party spells, it would be even worse.
Oh come on. What do you take me for?
