Nuke the world

Nuke Dorisdwarf. And by "nuke" I mean "check...into a mental facility."

Spoiler: X-COM Stuff (click to show/hide)

((Like me in Dragon Age Origins. Storm of the Century all the way even if it kills my entire party with it.
((You must be almost as popular as Lina Inverse!))

Is the AM still technically human?
Nice question.

Is the AM still technically human?
Up to interpretation. Have you ever heard of the Ship of Theseus? Same problem. Though, to be honest, most of it burned off soon afterwards.
Annoying answer. Although...what makes something "technically" human? DNA? Thoughts? Organs?

Mao... wanders the streets again?
"You mentioned you didn't have anywhere to stay? We could offer you a bed and dinner."
"I... Alright. That sounds like it won't go badly..."
Mao seems to have reservations to the idea, but decides to take the offer.

She gets taken to one agent's house. "We're working on a compound for a hypothetical task force of magicians, but it hasn't even finished the planning phase."
Mao gets a guest bedroom. She is shown the accommodations--private bathroom, door lock, stuff. Um, yeah.
It's about 9:00.

"Want home!" Mimu yells as she tries to open the door, wincing from weird ouchies. How did she get hurt?
"...I'm sorry, Minu. Your parents aren't better."

((Where are we and what's going on? I literally have no idea.))
You are heading back to Tokyo. Minu suddenly woke up and started screaming about wanting to go home. Hogosha is trying to comfort her. This doesn't seem to be working well.

[4] You slip past the crowd and enter the hospital.
"What is the issue, miss?"
"Well, my arm broken-"
Quote
Injuries: Legs & 1 Arm Broken
"-But I can't feel any pain-"

Health: Uninjured (100%)
"-That not a good thing, right?"
((Oh dammit. Yeah, your broken limbs are okay.))
((It will get me back into the plot, so good bad bug?))
(If you say so?)
"...You seem to be fine, miss?"

((This universe, yes. I JUST said that it's possible for other places to exist. Or didn't you READ THAT? the issue is that this creation originated with her. Anything that wasn't part of that creation and is just bridged into this one can have a different origin, and it's entirely possible for single universes to be created that didn't spring from her, at least in that she didn't create them directly. She hardly has a monopoly on Creation. Hell, Selina could create a universe if she got a big enough battery. And I got permission to do it from Scap back when he ran the game, so it's part of the backstory. Second, I don't intend for her to. I didn't even intend for her to get her own body, that was something that came out of RP.))
((1. Ninja'd, I skimmed it.
2. You were pretty against it when I suggested it. What changed?))
((I assumed a tiered structure was what you were talking about. Omniverse contains multiversii contains universii, which in the case of RotMG, has an origin in Shis. Seperate creations would mean different origin points and entirely different structures.))
((Each universe also has a different "origin point". As does each galaxy, each star, each planet, each organism, and each story. Your point?))

((Yes, she is developing, but she still has no reason to be in Northdale when she could be in Stanford.))
((Just wait until we get a plot again. A real plot. Something like the Layar.))

No. It really isn't. If I say "A bunch of ninjas slaughtered my family!" versus saying "A bunch of ninja slaughtered my family!", it will be equally clear. Noone will claim I'm speaking gibberish. This is partly because it has been stolen and made an English word in some ways, and therefore follows English rules of grammar. This is partly because we are so used to hearing ninja(s), as awkward as it may look when written down, that the second sentence would actually cause more confusion at first than the first would.
In that case, explain all the other foreign words that retain elements of their origin languages' grammar.
Because English isn't very consistent?
So you can't claim that words that have been "stolen and made an English word" will always "follows English rules of grammar."
...Is there an official way to chop off extra letters from quotes to make it fit the sentence better? I know that for adding letters, you can use brackets, but what about subtractions?

((Either or))

Mimu flinches from the pats and tries turns away, seeing if theres a way to open the door. She needed her mommy and daddy!
She could try the door handle, but it looks locked. Also, Mi-u notes that she seems to have a number of ouchy places. (Like, broken bones, but Mi-u doesn't know that, and if she did they would have felt...off.)

"Are you alright?"

Mao... wanders the streets again?
"You mentioned you didn't have anywhere to stay? We could offer you a bed and dinner."

Mimu looks around frantically, trying to find a way to get away from the scary lady!
She is in a car. Unless she tries to shimmy out the window, not happening.
Hogosha pats Mimu (Minu?) on the head. "Poor baby...you must be in so much pain..."

Shouldn't one of Raron's ++es be a --?
Yes. Good catch. Five points to Toasterpuff.

((... That's not a problem. That's a preference. There are ways to work around that one single event rather easily.))
((It's less the single event and more a combination of "poor writing"* and "why do you get to declare all this again?"**. If you'll notice, if you had read my post, you would have realized that the problems go beyond this one plot. You might also have noticed a compromise, but nope. Sues'm Caes has to be the origin of EVAREETHIN!))

((*I notice that Shys'm Caes has never answered the "How did you get bound?" question at all. Unless you count what is basically "I don't want to talk about it." Seriously, that's a ginormous plot hole there.))
((**Two things. One: It means you get to declare the backstories of this universe, the universes of several other forum games--including only one you wrote, but several by other players of this game--as well as, again, anything else we cross RotMG over with (which, due to a vague metaplot I've discussed a bit with Elf, will be a fair number. Two: If and when Yuri finishes the subplot of breaking the bond with SC, you will be controlling an omnipotent character. And if you don't see how those are problems there's something wrong with you.))

9584
"You talking about the crossover that brought even more psychopaths to my world. Then yes. The answer is yes. Does that mean you'll do it?"
"Good lord...it's interesting."

Sen speaks up, "Um, I still don't know what you want us to do, and if our kyle is mostly good, then aren't you mostly evil?" Sen is confused.
"...You're going to be a pain to deal with. On the bright side, Kyle might not be the benchmark for stupidity for much longer..."

Roll To Dodge / Re: Battle for Morukon RTD [Turn 20: Avalanche]
« on: December 28, 2013, 10:01:04 pm »
Real battles aren't that random. If one side has even a small (overall) advantage, it has more tactical options (and, of course, more firepower), and hence kills the enemy soldiers quicker, which increases their advantage, and so on until one side is devastated and the other okay. Barring things like storms ruining fleets, generals dying of alcohol poisoning, and the occasional daring-desperate-but-clever plan, most battles are fairly easy to predict in a general sense.
