Forum Guidelines
It's now set as crystalloid, no matter what fancy science name you give them."You soldiers just have no respect for proper science. You just want bigger guns and bigger bombs."
((How about a secret santa?))((Secret Santas aren't so great...))
(("A little box from Nyars for everyone" can easily turn into a "Horrible Death Day". Just sayin'.))((Not if we limit it to sanity. Or if Steve makes sure to give us all things like sentient pet rocks or laser-like things instead of death rays and Altered dandruff.))
A free spin on the old Roulette Of Death wheel for everyone! And death is replaced with Steve slapping you in the bum repeatedly, in the spirit of Christmas!((The what?))
((There's a few more skills than there are Nyars-colors, but it's a guideline, along with armory categories. I think we're pretty clear with red being weaponry, blue being medical, and gold being weird alien stuff. Purple and green are a bit more debatable. It's the shapes and stripes that are least understood.))((I'm pretty sure the shapes represented the screwery. Triangles were fairly tame, nonagons would be insane.))
Surroundings is a big dark room that's apparently been shot full of holes.*whistles innocently*
I'll do the bits of info thing as well as this. When we get done with our current missions (Probably pretty fast?) Nyars will have a sack. In his sack will be presents, numbered 1 to 100 or so. The contents of these presents will be random, anything from a single token to a grand prize hidden in one of them. And everyone will get to chose 1 of them.Whoo! I want #7!
Is this Grate pre- or post-Grate 32?*Spoiler: On the first day of ERISTMAS paranoia gave to me (click to show/hide)
((Nyars maybe? I've got absolutely nothing about him.))((He looks Nyarsey.))
(("power loader" Aliens references much?((Because power loaders can never exist outside of Aliens?))))
Keith winces. You are taken to a governmental-looking building. The agents who were with you leave, replaced with another one. He says (in English):
"Yeah feel free to take me in at anytime now..."
(Good.)(As a tourist, Jane knows a workable amount. Some dialects and rare words will confuse her, but she can usually catch the jist.)Walk to a hospital, at least it may get the followers off meHa, no. They're still trailing you. Some are trying to talk to you.
(Does Jane understand Japanese?)
make sure i lost them then check myself for wounds.[6] You seem to have lost them pretty well...and yourself.
Reasonable complaints about being sidelined. You get checked and let's skip past that. The doctor notes that you do not seem to have any condition he is familiar with, but there does seem to be something a bit off about your skin.
Smash the astral flux! FFS said it would be hilarious!-1, you know his tastes!
Prof Jones ran into the lab, having been present in the ComCent during the first half of the mission. The live combat intel he observed was fascinating. Some kind of crystalline biped - based on silicion molecules possibly (only an assumption at this stage, based on the response to heat and kinetic rounds), with technology based around the same "biochemistry"? Whist thier weapons seemed unreliable, the projectiles they used seemed to have potential. He set about readying the lab and its teams to recieve the incoming specemins and artifacts... these would be a priority above and beyond any other weapons research for now."As of now, that sounds like an ideal path."
Prof Jones suggests the following research path:
1) Good old alien Autopsy to find out what makes these guys tick
2) Evaluation of the alien rifle, with particular attention on the rounds it fires, to see if it can be repurposed to be used in our own weapons
3) Evaluation of alien grenade - compare to our own grenades
4) Evaluation of alien blade - compare to our own blades
5) Analysis of alien metal - with attention on potential combat applications?
"Oh yeah, we should also come up with an easy remember nickname for what we're about to cut up.""I intend to wait until we have a chemical and analysis to make a name."
((In other words make a name up so we can tell what we're about to cut up and defferentiate it from other X-rays.))
"Well, that should really be up to the troops, but I would suggest Glassman, unless someone has a better idea?""Some of the troops were calling them Chrysalises or something like that."
