Nuriel punches Lina; the latter is sent staggering backwards, tripping and falling.
"That is enough! Will she be hurt if I struck her with my sword?" Gourry, who I just realized never introduced himself (he's the big guy with the long blonde hair), picks up Nuriel, who kicks him in the stomach, knocking him over and them apart.
"She started it!"
"No, I didn't! You made fun of my height!"

What, Xellos? Unlikely.

That would require mazoku to be sane to begin with.

Xellos glares at Shys'm Caes, then bursts out laughing, still glaring. Everyone outside hears the laughing.

I like the second option better.
