Weasels?!? One of the most monarchistic of animals!

I may write a poem.

Actually Russian Weasel has a nice rhythm to it.

Okay sire, I shall write a poem of the communist weasel, and you the monarchistic one. Then, we shall compare and contrast.

1022
Not sure. I never saw Belgians as a particularly communist nationality.
Maybe the Russian Weasel? I see weasels as a left-wing species. Ooo, yes.

Find a learned salon or other place where people of quality discuss poetry, and introduce my latest poem, On the Free and Democratic Nature of the Swedish Elk, hoping to increase my reputation as a useless and romantic dreamer. Let myself be seduced by any women that are interested; engage in overly idealistic and naive political discussion with any men who may wish to.

I want to have a safe alibi before doing anything serious.

The Swedish Elk!
He wandereth Alone;
Like the heart of man.
He is Free!
But not for that a lesser being.
His Fellow Elk doth call upon him,
In time of need:
And feeling his brotherly Love he doth respond.
Democracy! This, then,
Is the heart of the Swedish Elk,
And how man is so alike,
But that he would remark.

The Elks are demonstrating
The Elks have had enough
The Elks want some freedom
Here in their own woods
Aaooom
Aaooom

I'm getting quite tempted to write a response to this beautiful poetry, with a more left-wing animal.

Turn 4: The Swedish Elk.

1. London- Tersr

Throwing morality out of the window, you hit him in the head and take all of his money and another iron bar. Smuggling the two weapons into the city, you head to the nearest tavern and celebrate your (small) victory.

Spoiler: Aaron (click to show/hide)

2. Oxford- micelus

Heading back to the university, you take refuge in the intelligence of the library, reading up on duelling. (3) You feel you have learnt the code of honour, and, more importantly, how to win. ((+1 to initial roll in any gentlemanly duel))

3. Manchester- Ultimah

As night begins to fall, you slip out of your residence and head towards the more shady part of the city. Unfortunately, someone has noticed.
You have time to take one shot before he arrives:
BULLET-TIME: -1 accuracy penalty
Roll: (6-1) Perfect!
The shot rings through the night, and the ruffian stops mid-run, clutching at the hole in his chest. You step over his body, and continue.

Spoiler: William Bucket (click to show/hide)

4. Cardiff- Riccto

You continue to observe this shop, (4) and soon spot a pattern. Every half hour, a shifty looking man would walk in, and then put again very quickly, with what you assumed was a prearranged package of weapons. To get in, you figure you will have to either attempt to disguise yourself as one of these fellows, or steal in at night.

Spoiler: Conrad (click to show/hide)

5. Dublin- Sinpwn

Sneaking along the alley, you manage to get behind the thug, (1) but the woman gives away your presence, and a fight begins.
Spoiler: FIGHT (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Conchobhair (click to show/hide)

6. Edinburgh- lawastooshort

You find a salon filled with young women and learnéd men, and begin to recite you poem, to the air.

The Swedish Elk!
He wandereth Alone;
Like the heart of man.
He is Free!
But not for that a lesser being.
His Fellow Elk doth call upon him,
In time of need:
And feeling his brotherly Love he doth respond.
Democracy! This, then,
Is the heart of the Swedish Elk,
And how man is so alike,
But that he would remark.

As you finish, (5) you realise the whole salon has gone quiet. To rounds of applause, shouts for an encore and woman screaming for you, you take a seat and enjoy courting women and impressing the men for the remainder of the day.

Turn 3: To battle!

1. London- Tersr

You wander around outside the gate again, (5) and find an ideal iron bar has fallen from a grate on the wall.
You search around the area you fell, looking for any clues as to where the thug went, (5+2 for luck bonus) before realising a blindingly obvious footprint trail to the thugs camp. He is sleeping, meaning you have a chance to win this fight with one cruel stroke. Do you dishonourably attack him whilst he sleeps, or allow him to wake to ensure an honourable and fair fight?

Spoiler: Aaron (click to show/hide)

2. Oxford- micelus

You purchase a rapier and pistol, then head to the Nighthawk tavern. (1) You are very much out of luck. Everyone seems to shy away from you as if you were a monster, and you manage to make conversation with no-one. Sighing, you leave without buying a drink: A sure sign something is on your mind.

3. Manchester- Ultimah

You slip the pistol and dagger into your pockets and slink out of the shop.
Walking the streets, you think about your next move.

Spoiler: William Bucket (click to show/hide)

4. Cardiff- Riccto

You continue to beg, and make (2+1) another 3 guineas, leaving you with a total of 6. Whilst begging, (5) you suddenly spot a shop you've never seen before, with no doormen and few customers. You edge closer to it, and start to hatch a plan.

Spoiler: Conrad (click to show/hide)

5. Dublin- Sinpwn

((You have the ten starting guineas, plus the three from the thugs))
You buy the musket and pistol, leaving you with 3 guineas. Slinging the musket on your back and the pistol in a holster at your waist, you begin to patrol the streets. (5) After only minutes, you hear shouts and find a thug harassing a young woman in a side alley. Now what?

Spoiler: Conchobhair (click to show/hide)

6. Edinburgh- lawastooshort

Siting in a richly decorated restaurant, Tarquin's Cuisine, (2) you strike up conversation with a lower class man (who no doubtably begged to get in) about how communism will be the next big thing. (1+2 charisma bonus -1 uncooperative listener) and the man gets increasingly uncomfortable, eventually leaving. Well, at least that should keep the filth off the streets from coming in here again. Polishing off the remainder of your veal casserole, you pay and leave.

Walk around some more, even if I have to go to areas of the city I do not know.
I MUST find a place where security is kind of lacking.

Err, what? You just stole some stuff. Whose action are you looking at?

1027
Alright, next turn should be  up by morning, cuz I need my beauty sleep.

Turn 2: Still shopping...

1. London- Tersr

(1) You cannot find anything that would be useful as a weapon and so, continue to wait in the dark.
(1) It's really not your night. Not only does this man not arrive, but a passing thug sees you as the ideal target. You are knocked unconscious and, when you wake up, realise half of your money is gone.

Spoiler: Aaron (click to show/hide)

2. Oxford- micelus

Leaving your house, you walk to "Moonfolk & Sons Gunsmith" (3). No-one recognises you, and yet the prices are not cheap. You have 10 guineas:
Pistol: 5 guineas
Rapier: 4 guineas
Dagger: 2 guineas
Musket: 10 guineas

You leave the store, sure that you can get better prices elsewhere. Slipping down backstreets and alleys, you come to what looks like an apothecary, (5) but you know it to be a gunsmith. The prices are much cheaper here:
Rapier: 3 guineas
Pisol: 4 guineas
Dagger: 1 guinea
Musket: 8 guineas
Hand mortar: 10 guineas

3. Manchester- Ultimah

Walking through the less reputable streets, you come across a dusty and run down shop. You enter, (2) but everything is out of your price range, so you attempt to steal:
Shop owner: (3)
William: (5)
Difference: 2
The shop owner doesn't notice you slinking around, and you manage to steal two of the items below:
Dagger
Pistol
Short sword
Grenade

Spoiler: William Bucket (click to show/hide)

4. Cardiff- Riccto

You walk along the streets, nonchalantly glancing around for any shops that could suit your needs. (2) You find only one that has very high security, but it's the only one around the streets you know. Looking for any gap in it's security, (1) you see absolutely none, and the doorman shoos you from the area after only making (2+1 due to begging expertise) 3 guineas.

Spoiler: Conrad (click to show/hide)

5. Dublin- Sinpwn

You use all the techniques and tricks you've learnt to make the two thugs believe your story, (1+2) but only manage ti persuade them to not hurt you. They leave, grumbling to themselves. Walking out onto the streets, you clear your mind, and go towards a gunsmith. (6) The prices there are amazing, almost too good to be true.
Dagger- Free with every purchase!
Pistol- 3 guineas
Rapier- 4 guineas
Musket- 7 guineas
Musket+Bayonet- 8 guineas

Spoiler: Conchobhair (click to show/hide)

6. Edinburgh- lawastooshort

You leave the university grounds and go to buy the best friends a gentleman could have. (5) You manage to purchase two decent pistols and a rapier, for only half your money! Proudly parading the streets with your newly acquired weapons, you think about your next move.

Okay. Let's rock. First turn should be coming up soon, inevitably a shopping turn (for most).

Turn 1: Clichéd Shopping Turn

1. London- Tersr

You shiver in the fading light, as you wait for your client to come. You had agreed with an accomplice of the revolution to meet outside the north gate to arrange weaponry, but the bugger hasn't turned up. Cam you be bothered to keep waiting?

Spoiler: Aaron (click to show/hide)

2. Oxford- micelus

Lying in your huge bed, reading a copy of "The Communist Manifesto", you consider your next move. One of the much talked about decisions at the meeting was whether to use direct force, or more subtle means. You wonder which to use now...
Coming to a decision you leap off of the bed and place the book on your desk. Walking out the door, you know of three weapon shops in London; two very well known and who would recognise a man of high status such as yourself, and one more shady establishment in an alley. Which do you visit?

3. Manchester- Ultimah

Weapons. Equipment. Food. These are the things you know are vital to your success in your missions, and you know of many places to get them. Do you wish to go for more legal businesses, or the less respected shops?

Spoiler: William Bucket (click to show/hide)

4. Cardiff- Riccto

Hmm. You think. How could an urchin like you obtain the sort of equipment a revolutionary needs? Stealing? Lying? Since you have no money, buying is not an option.

Spoiler: Conrad (click to show/hide)

5. Dublin- Sinpwn

"Me an' Fred 'ere woz finkin', right, and we fought you 'ad chea'ed us. So. Give us back our money or els'. Um." The larger of the two men you have just cheated out of 3 guieneas starts to advance towards you. Do you face the two ruffians?

Spoiler: Conchobhair (click to show/hide)

6. Edinburgh- lawastooshort

The museum. You are fortunate enough that your university has a museum, featuring all weapons up to the modern day. The only catch is the sense of responsibility you feel towards the university, and the security within. Or, you could go out and attempt to purchase equipment. What do you do?

Right, as soon as those two reserves have a character sheet up I can get the first turn up.
And yes, Sinpwn, you do have an unfortunate starting position.

Ooh, could I be in if I can do a character in a couple of hours?
Sure, if it's good enough.  :P Want to reserve a city, or do you have no preference?
