General Discussion / Re: So, it's mustache month.

I was thinking of trying to grow a full beard anyway, so mustache will come as well. Haven't been shaving in about two weeks now. We'll see how it goes.

I should know what that is from, but I don't. I feel as though I've seen it somewhere. What is it from?
It's from Monty Python's Meaning of Life.

I got generous experiencer. While I somewhat agree on some points, I feel I got way too high score for spontaneity.

Right, but 666 is one of those numbers seen as "unlucky" in many places. I don't know if the ancient Romans saw it that way, but I intend to use it for NaNoWriMo and the fact that it looks really good and is easy to remember when translated to the numerals is icing on the cake.

According to one of my Lit teachers, back in the first century 666 was used refer to Emperor Nero, because of some quirk of Latin where you could convert his initials to letters and add them up or something.  This was a while ago, but this teacher speaks Latin so I'm sure it made sense to him.  Anyway, the Christian stories that started the whole number of the beast thing were apparently literally referring to Nero, because Christians hated him that much.
Neato.

Participated first time last year and I barely started it before giving up. Not sure if I'll participate this year. On one hand I'd want to but there's all the school-work...

Apparently, I slept for 14 hours. Through the sound of a bloody alarm clock.
My sleep cycle has been pretty much reversed for about a week now. I go to sleep somewhere around 7-10 and wake up at 16-18.

Also it is very likely that dying is better fate than be shot non-lethally to the head. (Of course depending on the resulting damage.)

Hmm... If you want a cool domain, nwo.com and nwo.org are up for grabs. Hell, no one has even grabbed newworldorder.com.

Reminds me of my art teacher in previous school; we we're forced to go to some random art gallery where there where works from local art teachers. His piece some some optical illusion involving mirrors and some lights. Now, while that was a neat trick and all, I don't consider it to be art. For all I know, he googled "optical illusions" and implemented the first result.

Fun fact: When we had to make a piece of art made of junk and submit an essay about it's meaning, I taped two energy drink cans together and the whole essay was more or less hidden fucking with him about the "art" piece. Didn't get particularly good grade.

EDIT: Ninja'd million times.

Goddamn sore throat.
Not only has this gotten worse, but now my tongue is hurting like hell too, especially when eating or drinking something.

General Discussion / Re: Spiders? Spiders.

Care and feeding of a pet spider:

Leave the spider alone.

That's it. Just leave it alone, know where it is, and let it be. Check on it from time to time, See how it's doing. Say hi to the spider, but dont mess with the spider.  The spider will be quite content to feed and care for itself. It doesnt mind your looking at it, and admiring it or its webs.
I had a pet spider like this where I previously lived. It seemed to like corners of one particular wall, and I let it stay - moving it to that wall whenever it was in a place where it could be more easily accidentally squished - as long as it would eat all the flies, mosquitoes and whatnot. Didn't have many flying insects in my room that summer.

Honestly, I hear basically the same story every Monday, and it's the most depressing thing, even though they think they had fun.
I don't enjoy it, so obviously no one does. Just saying that they probably know better than you whether they had fun.

As for beer, I drink mostly cheap market beer just because of the alcohol, although I occasionally drink it for the taste and not for intoxication.
