Not that impressed. Novel concept, but it runs slow, long load times, and basically anything that moves usually kills you.
Not to mention shitty music on the loader... Downloading...

EDIT: It ran fine with my shitty connection... And those annoying sound effects that can't be turned off... Meh... I'll quit.

General Discussion / Re: Bay12's Desktops

This is my desktop. The first text file was originally supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek horror story thing, and the second was meant to be notes. They're now filled with ramblings, poetry, short fiction, important notes and etc. mostly written while stoned or drunk but sometimes (usually in the case of important notes) while sober.

Yay! I have one of those collection-of-all-kinds-of-crap-text-files too.

Yay! Last time I was 0/10. EDIT: Actually I wasn't... I was 0/10 time before last time.

Life Advice / Re: Buying Akward Books

I'd like to have a actual real copy. Ebay has them pretty cheap.
Well you can always print the e-book, but of course the ink will cost most likely more than buying the book.

I've been meaning to get into seriously studying Russian, because I love the language.

Me too! Last term during one math course, lessons were kept in a class which contained some Russian dictionaries (dating back to times of Soviet Union.) Because the uninteresting lessons, I studied some Russian alphabet. Now I know most of the letters, although not all.

I am in your totally not abandoned forum game, and you were in my totally abandoned one.

Another thing I disable immediately on a new install is UAC. It is completely useless and a pain in the arse.

It makes viruses have to work to get admin permissions, instead of just having them. And once your pc is set up, you won't see UAC unless something suspicious triggers it anyhow.
By "something suspicious", do you mean "every single little thing you try to run"? Because that's how UAC worked for me, 5 minutes before I turned it off.
Plus it prevents some games from working completely.

there was a saying:
the high class fights to keep it's status.
the middle class fights to get the high class status using the low class.
The low class fights for the middle class to get the high class status in exchange for better situation and ends back in the low class. with a worse situation maybe.
Actually it was at least in "Nineteen Eighty-Four" along the lines;

High class fights to keep it's status.
The middle class fights to swap places with the high class, using the low class by lying them about equality.
The low class wants equality. (Because they know what inequality is for the lowest class.)

In the end only the high and middle classes succeed in their goals, even though the lowest class gives the greatest sacrifice in the revolution.

Is this legit? It doesn't look too trustworthy. But I guess if it worked for NotAQuisling...

I'm not really sure why I'm getting that error. AsciiDraw worked on XP fine, but Windows 7 throws up that error.

EDIT: Well, it worked. Sign me up as well!

That was the first thing found when I googled "MSVCP71.dll."

In general, if you get any .dll errors, just google its name and download it.

Is there even the slightest chance of saying a few words before I die? I'd like to ensure, if possible, that I die a martyr, but if I can't say anything I'll just have to hope my death inspires my minions.
Just accept the deal and instead of denouncing the revolution, denounce the government. Then get executed.

EDIT:Says something like "MSVCP71.dll not found"
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvcp71

For the purposes of the scenario, they will keep their end of the bargin should you accept the deal (be that out of pragmatism or honor), and will be having you speak on live TV to increase the impact of the event
Do they execute you live TV? If so, do they gag you, or can you make your statement there?
