What if after having talked with your loved one*, he/she would insist that you give the medicine to him/her?

*old loved one and young stranger-scenario

752
Well that's for sure. I would talk with him/her even if they were both roughly equally old, in case he/she wouldn't want to live with the guilt.

753
in the case of 2 dying people and 1 bottle of medicine, they are equal, so I can let my own egoistical needs choose.

What if your loved one is old and the other person just a child?

Quarynn's point is that the manner in which you write your posts and the manner in which that prologue is written are very different. The prologue uses mostly proper punctuation and capitalization, but, if I may be so blunt, your posts do not.
To be fair, it seems all his stories (ie. community games and stories) seem to use correct capitalization and punctuation. Only his "normal posts" do not.

I would not kill the man, even to save my loved one.

So long as it pleases us, why should we not want gold-plated houses? Why should we not want to rip down mountains? Why should we not want space cities?

Because there are more important things we can spend our resources?

I haven't played the first one but I enjoyed the second game, although it has it's flaws. I hated the scifi-plot. Also the game was way too easy; only one guy can hit you at time and because of your regeneration, enemies cannot kill you later on the game (upgrades), because you regenerate health faster than they deal damage.

Well I guess it would then be some sort of civil war and the government would be overthrown, like what could happen in any system of government.

It wouldn't even require civil war. You just buy the official army and/or police.

Certainly firms would generally resist the efforts of unions, but they could never legally use violence to settle a dispute. A government in a pure capitalist society would basically just consist of the military, police, courts and not much else. Its main purpose would be protecting people from violence and protecting property. Capitalism =/= fascism or state-sponsored corporatism. It would protect lives and property and who it belongs to is immaterial.

And what stops corporations hiring enough mercenaries and buying enough weapons to beat the "official" army?
And where does the government get money to maintain own army?

Both work if the community is small enough. Given the size of nations right now, neither one works.

I'd say that he should serve reduced sentence, but that's mostly because I'm against death penalty.

Using some of your books and documents regarding the Cult of Nyedio, you translate as much of the scroll you can. You can still translate only little and because parts of sentences are missing the scroll is impossible to understand. However you manage to translate few coherent sentences;
"The key is in a watch tower, guarding the observatory."
"The gate is below the heart."
'The heart' is a reference you have heard before. The Cult means their most holy sanctum. It's location is a mystery to anyone but the cultist themselves.

Location:
Dusty bookshelves filled with books on every wall. Your desk worn wooden desk, holding the invitation to the meeting, the lamp and a whiskey bottle. The drawer contains various documents and papers. A window facing south overlooking a dense forest, and a door on the northern wall leading to main corridor of your old mansion.

If I would get one Combat Mission game, what would you recommend?

765
Erm... NRDL these are two(!) armed(!!) guards and even though you too are good unarmed fighter, odds are not in your favor on this one.

But what if I trip them?  I imagine it being pretty difficult fighting an angry khaajit while your face is in the mud.  If the odds are still really dangerous, then run and hide.  However, if my aforementioned tactic of face-in-mud works, won't I have a significantly better chance?

You can't really trip both of them. When the first guard comes and falls to the mud, the second obviously won't just walk to the same trap.
