The Dwarfy part of it? The figurine was of the goblin whose bones were used to make it :).

I don't know, man.  Sounds like you've got a budding Necromancer on your hands.

And that would be awesome.

I've had a lot of dwarven children born outside of marriage, means a female dwarf gives birth and there's no marriage, and she's not married to anyone already, but has a lover. In some forts I never get a marriage. In others, every single dwarf has the wedding itch.

One of my troopers withdrew from society and took over a Craftsdwarf Workshop. Took some hematite, and some goblin bone, and made a figurine of a goblin.

Awesome. Now, if that very trooper'd killed that goblin as well...

A bowman bandit leader named Gatshi Visionweakens. Pwned by a stealthed adventurer from two steps away.

'Welcome to the Grizzly Club!'

That's one badass place.

My adventurer is the best and luckiest one so far. He became a living legend, killed several megabeasts (with the help of an army of fanboys tearing their mostly scaly hides apart) and retired in the capital of the biggest civilization nearby. The only injury he sustained was a damaged left hand.

In a new adventure, a human lady worships a deity associated with birth. 'This servant of birth greets you' cracked me up. 'Go with birth' knocked me off the chair.

If their main export is salt, yes. If not, then maybe they're very picky about their food.

I, for some reasons, am getting multiple incarnations of Nurgle in my genned worlds. Death, disesase and so, often rotting or skeletal. Sometimes they go blatant and oversee chaos too.

The sieges are just fine. Their main challenge isn't in their strength, but in making you seal your fortress (if you can't take them head-on) and make your dwarves emo themselves to death one way or another.

Adventuring in a duplicated-raws world, with the only duplicated raw being dwarven language. Nothing really changed, but the game works faster than usual for some reason.

Just found a whale leather thong. 'Whale tail' just took on a new meaning.

Got sent to kill a night creature (an actual one, not a spouse or such). With its welcoming hit, it knocked the head off my axeman, and in a few turns tore apart the lasher. In a bout of OHSHI-- I dash for the entrance, but then get a counterattack and impale its heart on my halberd. Then I just run out of the lair, and the night creature collapses and bleeds out right under the hatch. Now THAT was a lucky hit.

The nearest human civilization leader's name is Jol Weakensense. Yeah, I can see why the civilization worships minerals while having none.
My adventurer is now called Mori Groovedinns the Insightful Dwelling. Insightful indeed.

Catten ágeshlimul Rabed Nebél, Commander has created Tithlethdurad, a steel mail shirt!

Basic Value: 127200☼.

This is a steel mail shirt. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality. It is encircled with bands of steel, chalk, birch, cedar, and giant tiger bone. This object menaces with spikes of elephant leather. On the item is an image of Searchcoven the steel high boot in elf bone.
On the item is an image of the grizzly bear and Olngö Malignsink the goblin in chalk. Olngö Malignsink is striking down . The artwork relates to the killing of the grizzly bear by the goblin Olngö Malignsink with a copper short sword in Balancelashes in the late spring of 503 during Idatapalóthi, "The Splattered Onslaught".

It will go very well with the artifact steel shield he is carrying.

EDIT: AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Balancelashes is now a barony. Huzzah! The decision has been made: Bomrek Avalmeng, legendary cook and my militia commander's wife. [...] I see nothing wrong with this plan.

I found the problem - my militia commander is now the baron consort, meaning that I CAN'T ASSIGN HIM ARMORSMITHING. This was the second non-possessed mood this fort (out of seven), and the first was a secretive bowyer, who was also a soldier.

You know that DF loves you dearly if you're getting this.

Also, Malignsink, tee hee. What's next, Vicioustoilet?

Now is the time to do so.

Also, has anyone else thought 'what the heck is a 'Well Titan', a titan that lives in wells?' upon seeing this thread?

Also, shields pretty much counter fire completely. Unless something under you catches it.

Wall off the entrance. Make well-armoured dwarves equipped with shields and say, axes.
Alternatively, force it into a 1-z high passage and flood it with water or magma.
Or just wall off the entrance and let sieges/ambushes/caravans/migrants deal with it.
