DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Slightly annoyed...

God, sometimes I hate you Dwarfs...
Anyways, in my last fort, the dwarfs became SLIGHTLY more retarded, EVERYTHING was good (for once), then, my Mayor who is friends with everyone, decided to have a Fey Mood, Great, he wants cut gems, Great, oh wait, ALL THOSE F*CKING GEMS ARE WRONG! So, he goes berserk, gets "Put Down", then my fort goes into a tantrum spiral, 1 and a half years in...
Have your dwarfs ever been this retarded?

Ok, I'm on .17, I've embarked on a HAUNTED lake, nothing, I go to an ocean, FPS death and whales...
so, are lakes LESS deadly?

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Desert Embarks / Cavern questions

Ok Comrades,
Right now I'm in a Desert Embark, and because water in the desert freezes over in the winter, I tried digging down to the caverns, 2 questions, 1, why are there so little Desert Embarks, and from 31.12 to 31.16, why have the caverns suddenly gone further down, in 31.12, I could mine to floor 11 and get a cavern, in 31.16, its now floor 20, help?

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Communist Dwarfs?

I was just thinking, I read on here that "Dwarf Fortress Makes a Fascist out of all of us", but, I'm a communist, and I LOVE DF, so, can we make a COMMUNIST fort, called "The Army or Red" or something, is communism even possible in DF?
