((Do I need to drop a point? Or because I haven't killed anyone do I get to keep what tasty, tasty points I have left?))
((FYI, I'm just going to sci for a bit, build up a moderate arsenal, hopefully.))
((Sci now, MURDER soon. I pwomise.))

Oh, thanks! (DERP)  :P

+1 Strength, I've seen enough death via black-holes already. *gulp*

Oh boy.
Just finished reading these 308 pages last night (was 307...).
You know what? With that effort I don't feel bad about obtaining meta-knowledge! (Not that in this game that is much of an issue... ;D)
I've got 73 words (I may have missed a few...), 7 runes and a circle. Let the Science begin!

I wonder if Piecewise has had an aneurism yet...

Time I think to join the greatest R2D I have seen yet! (In girth and greatness!)

You may call me Bigfoot. ("o"/"0", the giv-a-damn is low on this matter)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
FYI I already have an attack in mind for any cretin lucky enough to stand still, but I think I will save the murder for NPCs, eh? (Channeling is four for a reason!)

Piecewise, I know the drill, read enough for that, could you by any chance just have me run outside (somehow I know where) and have me try WORDS?

IN CHAR:

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: Just killed a roc
« on: October 05, 2011, 07:10:44 am »
I had a resident Roc once, way better than all the resident rocks, but I digress, it was a large embark and it left my fortress pretty much alone, more content to play with it's toy dead people and assorted trade-goods than kill my dwarves.

Some time later after ordering every tree to be felled, I noticed job cancelations, and found a few of my mindless haulers and woodcutters playing "tag" and "chasies" with their new feathered friend.

The Fun Police (Read: legendary hammerdwarves) stepped in and broke up the playdate before the Fun turned to tears, grazed knees and Sudden-Life-Stoppage-Syndrome. Nobody was hurt (Well, nobody anyone in the fortress cared about anyway). If you read the Dwarven List-of-News-to-Read-while-Drinking please ignore the sensationalistic reports of a several day long "Squatters Vs Big-Ass-Bird" wrestling match.

P.S: No, there will be no rematch. Ever. Period. You can stop reading now. Seriously. Whenever. Or fine, keep reading. Just keep doing that, what am I going to do about it eh? Maybe I'll ju

HOW DO YOU KNOW YOU PLAY DF TOO MUCH?

Reason 1693: You, along with a group of wildly varying people, manage to think up 1693 reasons how you know that you play the game too much, and not one person has gone to see a (RL) therapist.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: Artifact inside an artifact?
« on: April 15, 2011, 08:31:39 am »
At least yours doesn't have 73 images of itself.
True...but I don't know if you remember me saying this in another thread...but this is an gem artifact that references an artifact maker and their artifact, which referenced another artifact and its maker...

This happened about 7 times, and all of them were in the same ACTIVE military squad. Somethin' ain't right with my fort.
Dwarves carve about things they like. Since they hang out with the squad a lot, they tend to like eachother. Not as much as the navy, but they do tend to like eachother.
I don't think they have much time to socialize with each other when they're training, though. He did say it was an active squad.
Meh. They see eachother more. I don't know, just trying to use logic. (worst game ever to use that.)
Urist mc Militia #1 Strikes at Urist mc militia #2.
"So, how are the kids? they good?"
Urist mc Militia #2 dodges the strike from Urist mc Militia #1.
"Yeah, theyre doing good, you heard about the incident with Urist mc Stupid and the Forgotten Beast?"
Urist mc Militia #2 Counter attacks.
Urist mc Militia #1 blocks.
"Oh? Wasn't he that dim one who always went hauling stone from the furthest reaches of the fort to the mason?"
Urist mc Militia #1 charges at Urist mc Militia #2
Urist mc Militia #2 dodges out of the way
"Yeah, thats him, good ridence i say, useless peasant..."

And then suddenly "Agahsdhuh the Ugly one" breaks down the door and kills both of them.
The end.
I have the revised version.

DF General Discussion / Re: How did you learn about DF?
« on: January 14, 2011, 05:03:16 am »
"So, Bigf00t, what brought you here?"

Why, I'm GLaD you asked.
Who can you blame for my presence here? Gaming Mags. Quite a few years ago I got a gaming mag which had DF on the disk. (Along with some other "rogue-likes"). I am only now grateful that my entire first expedition was eaten by bloodthirsty CARP.

I promptly decided to play something else, like www.asciisector.net, Ahh much easier.
Little did I know that DF possessed a gravity-like pull. What goes away always comes back.
About 2-3 years later I remembered that super hard game I'd played, and decided that a tutorial would greatly assist.

Then I found Boatmurdered.

Nuff' said.

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Re: My goblin keeps stabbing his friends
« on: December 01, 2010, 01:51:01 am »
So in adventurer mode whenever my goblin moves towards an ally, instead of them lying down so he can by he whips them in the face with his scourge. Is this because he's from an enemy civilization? I'm gonna check and see if this happens when I start a goblin outsider.

Obviously he's just bad-ass.

:) Ally2: Good-day Sir, if you want to get past...

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: Weaponizing spooks, for !!SCIENCE!!
« on: November 19, 2010, 09:06:39 pm »
[WARNING]: This post has a disturbing lack of !!SCIENCE!!, and spelling. Or even sanity.
I HAS THE SOLUTION!  :D

Even though the ORIGINAL topic was weaponisation, the current question is.. "Can they be killed?". Being the highest most crazy engineer here, I say YES.

Drawbridges.

In the past, since even (some of) the earliest days we willingly remember, drawbridges have been used to eliminate dwarven problems. Either by flinging halfway across the "map" or by reducing to a state of matter more insubstantial than [ABSOLUTELY NOTHING]. Drawbridges do not even need matter to crush, simply something there ceases to exist.
It is the latter property I am interested in. I propose we change the current !!SCIENTIFIC!! endeavors from... whatever they were to seeing...

CAN GHOSTS BE ATOMSMASHED

This could just be the breakthrough we need to stop those whiny b@$turds nobles from shutting down this fine laboratory.
Let the !!SCIENCE!! commence!!
