According to that map FFS put up... we're getting close to the Stone Dragon... enemies can't rabbit punch us when we enter a room can they?

Ripriver attacks from Long range to trigger his passive and get into Melee.

Ripriver does not have an available Long-range weapon or ability!

So he needs to be doing a Long-range capable attack to use it... does the attack occur before or after the shift?

Edit: How far can Ripriver spit?

Oric's "this is going to be one of those cycles" upon seeing Proxxy with Ciro makes me suspect that Oric is afraid of Ciro learning more.

But in that case, why is he offering up plot information?

Then again, it seemed more like irritation than fear. Perhaps Oric knows that he will face the party on DL8, and wants to save time. In that case, the fact that he was merely irritated suggests that conventional tactics will not work against him and that the additional party member will only slow him down.

Hmm. I think I may compile a list of every single thing Oric has done, to aid future theorycrafters.

I think the cycles and plot information are freely offered because Oric knows that Ciro won't be able to stop the cycles... and by I won't I don't mean Ciro can't but something forces Ciro's decision.

I'm still convinced that the purpose of the cycle is so that Ciro accumulates Soul Charge. The problem with Soul Charge is that it is sort of a finite resource. Either you steal it from someone else or you convert emotional energy into Soul Charge. Meaning that unless someone becomes an emotional reservoir you only have so much of it.

Ciro's adventure of killing siblings and having near death experiences is there to create Soul Charge... more specifically to give Ciro a ton of Soul Charge.

And Oversoul Mode allows someone to transfer Soul Charge as we saw when Ciro fixed Riltia.

Perhaps the point of this is so that when Ciro reaches the end and finds the Over Soul, his only option is to pour his Soul Charge into the Over Soul which in turn starts the process over again. Ciro finally confronted with freedom chooses to recreate the prison.

For some reason I'm thinking of that Dr. Who episode, where people find out the truth and are given the choice to Forget it.

Like there's some big secret. Something to do with the Angels' Lord and Illborn. Maybe at the core of the Warrens is a corrupt soul. Something that needs Soul Charge... not to survive, but to placate it or keep it dormant.

And Ciro's only real option is to make the sacrifice to keep everyone alive or...

...perhaps something worse... perhaps in order to make said sacrifice Ciro's has to be willing to sacrifice everything he's gained.

Bobert will attempt to intimidate the enemy into surrender. You have already lost and if you want Bobert to spare your lives drop your weapons and back against the wall. It is better to surrender than to die in Bobert's opinion. And if you swear fealty to Bobert then I will even allow you to travel with Bobert.

>Intimidate the enemy to get them to surrender.
>Recruit enemy soldiers if they're willing.
>Failing that Bobert will switch to taunting the enemy into battle.

Alright soldiers, Bobert thinks we'll be seeing some action soon. Hold your ground let none of Bobert's enemies pass in one piece. Bobert recommends a spread out formation the width of the alley way. Prepare your sword and shields!

>Bobert's forces will create a wall formation in the alley way.
>Bobert's forces will take a defensive stances with arms at the ready.
>Bobert, himself, will be in formation along side his men.

"You are making me angry... you won't like me when I'm angry."

People will react to finding a murdered friend or family member, but will they be put off by just finding a corpse even if they have no idea who it was?

I'd be kind of freaked out by finding a head of a complete stranger in my house. So I'm wondering if find any corpse will bother a subject or if they just kind of take it at their leisure.

One, two, five (three, sir) - three - ... Eleven. Eleven Bobarts in that post. Well done. Well done indeed.

Yeah, he really likes to say his own name.

The Warrens is connected to a multiverse. We know this from the arena and the mercenaries, but our new ally mentions a golden gate similar to the one Al used to enter the Warrens.

The Warrens is growing and is violating other universes in doing so. Not just Haria. As it is doing so it creates more and more Illborn from the creatures that get caught. The lights in the abyss kind of remind me of Slog's essence that he left behind when he died. So maybe we're seeing Illbirth... the lights going out are creatures that are becoming Illborn.

The Fusion Guy mentioned that in order to experiment on Illborn to make them whole (or something) we need a Binding and an Essence.

Now my theory here is, the Binding is the broken Soul Star. Empty and Powerless. When an Illborn dies it can leave behind an Essence if it has regained a certain amount of Soul Charge. Hence is why some Illborn have normalish forms. They have begun to rebuild their Essence, but to restore their True Self their Binding must be re-energized with their Essence to bring back a proper Soul Star.

When we fixed Riltia... wait... FFS once said that we never had Riltia's Soul Star and then immediately after said we always had it. When we fixed Riltia... she had her Binding on her! She has her Soul Star, but isn't aware of it... Maybe Riltia never had her star removed... Ciro pumped in Soul Charge which both restored Riltia's Essence which in turn brought her Binding back to life as a Soul Star.

Well, Bobert was kind of hoping to build a blockade with the stuff.
And as far as interesting stuff Bobert was looking for stuff that might have been useful in the battle.
These people and Bobert do not understand each other well...

Bobert will be more specific.

>Bobert explains that he wants them to grab things like tables and chairs (barrels, buckets, crates, etc). Anything that can be moved quickly and stacked on either side of the alley way. If a gap is left in the middle the enemy forces will need to travel through single file making them easier to pick off. Bobert is not asking for them to bring rich stuff to Bobert. Bobert would much like to see a broken wagon wheel... or shovels... pitchforks... hell, Bobert would be happy with the scrapings from the stables... Bobert needs to know what Bobert can use. Only then can Bobert shine.

I'm pretty sure there was another image from the void, but I can't remember when/where.

The lights in this one seem to match Proxxy Yellow and Angel Brown...

While looking I noticed the Scarecrow was an image of a Seraph... 6 wings and had Angel Brown as its body color... but the head was more Human Skin White and not Angel Skin Grey.

I think that each Soul Star only has Two Shifts.

One of the tips mentioned they have a Primary use and a Secondary use.

So Al might be able to Shift his Soul Star... you know... if he had it.

Edit: Ecco might be a reference to "The Voice". The act title implies that will be dealing with Sinful (Cain) and Speaker (referring to the Voice).

OC: I'm perfectly fine with that... as I thought we were in modern times to start with... :P

Bobert thinks we should fortify the alley we're in. It may be possible to force the enemy in single file.

>Bobert stays attached to his current group.
>Bobert orders the group to create a choke point by piling anything they can find onto the sides of the alley.
>Bobert also orders the men to keep anything they find that may be of some use and report to him what it is.

Bobert has been confused. Bobert now knows that he is in medieval warfare conditions... whoops. That explains the magic book a bit better.

>Take another light infantry and hold a defensive on the alley way to the left. We'll attack anyone who heads down this direction. We don't need the enemy using the alley to circumvent us.
>Bobert attempts to cast a barrier spell on the opposite alley way to block the enemies from that direction.
