I'm having trouble with my dwarves moving cages without letting the animals inside out, example: i order urist mcrelease to move elk bird cage to trade depot, urist mcrelease releases the elk bird before moving the now elk bird absent elk bird cage to the depot. how can i make it so he moves the cage with the animal still inside the cage.

ok, so im wondering how i can make it so nobody can go in an area, like forbidden area without using doors. cause currently people are retartedly walking infront of my practicing marksdwarves. i want them to stay out of the way of the arrows so they stop getting crippled.

It is normal to get over 25 migrants each migration...
becasue i just got 26 migrants from this migration and 24 from the last :L

I just hack there upper body/lower body with my axe. prefferably killing them in 1-2 hits. i like to make them in a line for killing.

Oh yes. i easily killed a monster in 2 turns that has picked up 2 of my other guys and ripped there heads of by swinging them around.
