Relatively silly, thank you very much. Still, problem's fixed so there's no problem. I'll just get back to playing now ;P

Actually, the current version has the fixing script in its DFHack.

Ah, that makes sense; I forgot that DFHack can fix that and didn't see anything in the RAWs to address it.

-The Factory uses most of the body components now. The Extractors (there's four now, one for each spectra type) can consume meat, fat, spinal tissue, organs and horns/hooves. Bones are not useable, for now; probably won't be until the bug is gone.
-The extraction now produces a tool item and does not need jugs anymore. The items are processed at the rainbow smelter.
-Other parts that are usually just left in the refuse (cartilage, claws, teeth) can be put through a Grinder to make Rainbow Sludge, which has more some more uses.
Hey, that's pretty awesome. Less micromanagement for the damn jugs ;P
Just out of curiosity, though, will each pony body be able to produce much more spectra now? It sounds like that might be the case; unless you increase the amount of spectra needed to make rainbow bars it sounds like I can turn a stack of meat, organs and bones from a single dead pony into a ton of spectra (considering the sheer amount of organs any individual pony drops, it might be in the realm of one rainbow bar per pony, even).

For those of you who use raw ASCII graphics instead of tilests, you might be interested in a mod I made that changes the tiles of every sentient race to make them a bit more readable. It'll make every caste recognizable without the need to dig through descriptions and such; you can find it at DFFD.

EDIT:
Ah, hell. Do you know about the bug that stops creatures from growing after birth, Valikdu? I just now noticed that you haven't done anything to prevent it.

Probably the first fortress I got bored of and abandoned before it was destroyed by some violent outside force, rather than during.

Ah, completely forgot that you needed to be signed in for attachments. Thanks for that, Kyzrati ;p

Seeing as this thread has been dead for a month, I figure I'll post this here as an excuse to bump it.

Rectification v0.6 has just been released. It's a total conversion mod that aims to completely redesign XCom; you can read more about it on the thread. Right now, I need playtesters more than anything else; if you're even slightly interested, please play it and tell me what you think!

DF Modding / Re: Is there a way to force vermin fish to restock?
« on: August 04, 2013, 05:33:43 pm »
Unfortunately, //all// creature populations are fixed once world gen ends (with the exception of your own dwarves and animals). The bottom line is that there is no way to repopulate your vermin without a third-party tool of some sort (and I don't know of any that can, although I don't use them so my knowledge is very shallow in this regard).

Mod Releases / Re: Fallout: Equestria (v0.30c) Pinkie Pie is Watching

I'm not working on it, but I'm playing it.

SPEAKING OF WHICH! I'm doing one of my standard aboveground dead civilization unicorn supremacist games, and just started raiding the underground for salvage. Among the many crates I got was a single MoA crate, and when I opened it a crate of Scorpion Power Armor fell out. The people sitting across from me started at my cry of glee, and I immediately set out to open it. It seems to have a child-proof lid, though, because I can't open it from the Supply Dept or the Workbench. I tried looking through some of the reaction.txt files but I couldn't find any reactions referencing the scorpion armor. Does anyone know how to open it, and if it can fit on unicorns (unlike Power Armor, iirc)?

Or maybe the elves aren't showing up because IT'S RAINING ELF BLOOD WHERE YOU ARE.

That's one of the quotes I'll add to my "show to random people to make them play DF" folder.

Oh, wow... I had no idea this was happening. Do you guys know how long this has been going on? :S

DF Modding / Re: How is armor thickness/weight determined?
« on: May 17, 2013, 01:36:30 pm »
While I have no sure answers, I'd go so far as to say that it's the wearer. I know that, when entities with wildly different castes create armor, one set will fit every member of the entity; this at least suggests that the thickness of the armor is determined by the wearer.

No, he was joking. It's a meme referencing one of Oprah's shows where she yells something similar ;p

Wouldn't it be more reliable if you make it a creature interaction that targets itself, rather than boiling inorganics? Those are unreliable as far as transferring syndromes go, iirc.

I love small tilesets, mainly because they're all adorable :3

I'm actually giving DF up for Lent, and so far have been successful.

What is this Lent you speak of?
