So, whenever I'm bored I mod. I tossed together a proof of concept for the lions, if you're interested.
They're still really rough; they have the same size as vanilla lions (200kg) and have no caste-specific skills, lack an entity file, and other stuff. Before I start tidying this up, though, just wanted to know what you think of the whole thing.

I was thinking about making it a "Lion" creature, with griffins as one of the castes. You've taken plenty of artistic liberties already, why not more? :p
The lion would be the equivalent of the earth pony, with griffin taking the place of the pegasi and the sphinx (complete with telekinetic powers; toss grasp on the brain and call it a day) taking the place of unicorns. This is assuming you still want to stay true to the three caste system you have going already; I imagine it might get boring eventually :p

Alright, just kidding everyone. I tried my Death Metal Pinkie avatar, and I don't really like it. Ah well, at least my desktop has been claimed by ponies.

Also, why would you not use an avatar? I find that having one makes you much more memorable. Back on the only other forum I've ever been on, I had a friend who didn't use an avatar, and I would always miss his posts because he looked like another guy who hadn't settled down enough to bother with getting an avatar. I recognize people by their avatars now; Dsarker has his custom pony, Necro has the dwarf form the intro. Back on said forum I had a lava dragon as an avatar, and now I associate that avatar with me being an idiot about online manners (I seriously turned a perfectly fine discussion into a religious flame war completely by accident :p), and my current avatar with... well, me.
Just my rambling, though :p Feel free to ignore me :D

I wanna see that gorilla in action.
You see, I am having quite the internal conflict here. On one hand, my avatar is awesome. It's a dwarf. An angry dwarf. It doesn't get much better than that.
On the other hand... I want a pony avatar. I was looking for a decent Big Mac avatar, but nothing jumped out at me. I think Pinkie crying blood and playing metal would be the most badass avatar ever... but I don't want to give up my current one. Thoughts?

I really love your mod. Not only is it totally ponies, but you obviously know what the hay you're doing. By examining your mod, I figured out how to make castes and descriptions work, both of which have eluded me for a long time now. The many references to mythology certainly don't hurt, as well :p I love how the armor is all real-life barding.
So, I salute you, Nidokoenig. Thank you, you're awesome.
As an aside, have you thought about a griffin entity yet? I have always liked griffins, and I had an idea or two about how they would work in your mod. Just curious :p
